Shadow Realm is one of my favorites (Oatmeal Stout) and being British by birth, trust me when I say I'm a bit picky when it comes to beer. These guys have it nailed. BTW... Li'l Nicky... You rock! “I like many of you, like using the review score when making purchase decisions. I never just look at the score. I look for the number of reviews and I try to find helpful reviews to give me more incite into what I may be getting into. My wife works in a business where the reviews really matter for bringing in new customers. She often talks about the long-time customers who keep returning but have never left a review. Those are really the voices that should matter more to people who want an honest review of the company they are looking into. Unfortunately, even though I like looking at reviews, I seldom leave one unless I'm very satisfied with the company or really disappointed. In both cases, I leave my emotions aside and tell things as I experience them. This means that if everything wasn't perfect, I don't ding them for minor stuff. I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.“

“We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Deadwood Bar & Grill in Northville and were blown away. Every dish impressed us—from the tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs and bold BBQ flavors to the giant prime rib sandwich. The twisted potato fries were crisp and fun, while the cornbread muffins were soft and moist. The Cowboy Mac & Cheese was rich, creamy, and loaded with pulled pork, and even the club sandwich was generously sized and a hit with our kid.

For dessert, they surprised us with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for his birthday, making the evening feel extra special. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and eager to offer great recommendations. The outdoorsy atmosphere was fun, too. We’ll definitely be back for more!“

“I got their breakfast burrito & personally that’s one of the best I’ve had anywhere! The salsa they serve on the side is delightful & the server I had I believe her name was Katie, she made my husband & I feel very welcome as it was our first time & we weren’t sure what to get, she didn’t rush us into anything & even recommended a few items that she likes, the breakfast burrito being one of them which I can’t thank her enough for. I also love the look of the place the windows make it feel so open & when the suns out it’s a very pretty little cafe aesthetic to dine at. I didn’t rate 5* because even though the service & food was great their was a lot of commotion in the kitchen & even some yelling which just kind of makes the dining experience a bit awkward, wish they were more professional.“

“Come prepared to make decisions; it’s a good thing. Lucy and the wolf welcomes its guests with a generous drink menu and ample wine list. The old fashioned drinks sell out so give the rest a look in case, you won’t be disappointed. They have full sized protein focused plates that are the best in the town and possibly the county. However, the strength here for me are the flavor combinations in the dishes such as harissa roasted new potatoes and the charm of the charred corn ribs. The burrata starter had endless possibilities as every ingretient was such high quality and worked together so well there is no wrong combination for the platter. Get two plates each, it’s a good choice.“

“A tiny "Mom and Pop" shop with outstanding seasoning on their shrimp, chicken, and fish. I got lemon pepper seasoning on the side, but after starting to eat my food, I totally forgot to put it on as it was so flavorable without it.
