“First time there,, will not go back. The fried shrimp hard as heck. Shrimp the big one's was so much batter the shrimp was so small in the batter. Egg roll was alright. My husband's pepper steak dinner was ok, veggies was soft and chrunchy. We shouldn't have to $50 for terrible food.“

“My family has ordered from New China Gourmet for almost 20 years and it has never disappointed. The owners have always been so friendly and really take pride in serving the best quality Chinese food in the area with generous portions and reasonable prices. The vegetable fried rice and almond boneless chicken are my go-to entrees and the crab Rangoon are my ABSOLUTE favorite.. I am a crab Rangoon snob so I don’t say that lightly.
They stopped doing dine-in service after Covid and are only carry out, but the space is very organized for to go orders and the kitchen alway looks to be kept clean, even during a rush.
We recently ordered for Christmas Day, which has become a tradition for us! We ordered our food around 2 PM to have it ready for 4 PM because you definitely want to order ahead on those expected high volume holidays. The timing worked out perfectly and our order was hot, ready on time and absolutely delicious!
This time I tried shrimp and broccoli for the first time and was a little surprised when the sauce was a clear, whitish color with more cabbage/onions than broccoli. I had seen a picture online that showed it to be a brownish sauce and just broccoli. It’s possible that the review I saw was a special order, and I would’ve preferred the darker sauce but overall it was still a yummy dish!“

I would just say the fried rice was a bit bland and egg drop soup needed more salt…but thats my personal critique. Besides those two things, everything else was 7/8 outta 10. I think we may have had a new cook because he didn't put on much of a show, especially compared to the energy we saw from the other chefs. Others were flipping and spinning things. Not ours tho. “I've ordered carry-out from May Hong before and it's always been amazing. It's ready when I've walked through the door and piping hot, plus tasty. A personal favorite is the Sesame Chicken. Egg rolls are also delicious!

However, a friend and I decided to dine in two weekends ago. There may have been a rush before us that had just left, but there was only a single clean table available, and one staff person handling all the orders and cleaning.

We ordered, and I waited half an hour--no exaggeration--for a bubble tea. I decided to try something new that night, the honey chicken. No real taste of honey to be found. Stick with the Sesame or Sweet & Sour Chicken since you can't go wrong with those.

Also, the booths? A group of people left behind me and new people came in. Every time someone moves behind you, you can feel it and it's quite jarring when you're trying to eat.

The staff person we dealt with tried her hardest, and she was very, very nice, just severely overworked.

May Hong is still worth ordering from for the food, but keep it to carry-out. Dining in isn't the best experience.“

The food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The packaging was nice, leaking styrofoam. Everything had a secure lid. I got the house fried rice and it was so good! Had fresh pork, chicken, shrimp, and veggies in it for a small up charge. Nice sized shrimp too! Really so very pleasantly surprised! Will definitely be back.“

“Where to begin….orient express has been a mainstay in my life for as long as I can imagine. First the service, greeted with a warm smile and efficiency is all I can ever ask for. Next, atmosphere is humble and authentic. Last but not least, the food! I repeat the food is absolutely out of this world!! The egg rolls are always crisp with warm and plump interior. The chicken from general tao to sweet and sour is always perfectly sauced with the perfect amount of accompanying broccoli also perfectly sauced. The Kungpao chicken has the perfect amount of spice and vegetable to chicken ratio. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Cannot rave enough about this place!! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!! Best food on the planet!!!!“

The sweet and sour chicken with white rice and wonton soup is my fav. The chicken is cut nice and small - there are never any big weird pieces!! Which I super appreciate! “The food is always hot and good. But when you are told 30 minutes for your food to be ready and it’s more like 50 minutes. We order food to bring to our Moms at 3:15 as we were driving on 94 and was told 30 minutes and we needed to be at Moms by 3:45 and got there at 4:00. We only order potstickers & 2 egg rolls and soup and beef , mushrooms fried rice. Use to take 15-20 minutes. Now more like 45 to 50 minutes. Just don’t be in a hurry.“

“I ordered delivery via uber eats. The food is best Asian cuisine I have eaten in a long time. The sauces taste homemade and are light . The eggrolls and wonton soup are the best I have ever eaten. I tried 2 entrees, orange chicken and almond chicken. Both were delicious. I was very happy to find the almond chicken sauce was not brown gravy like what most other restaurants provide. This sauce was light golden and a perfect complement to the dish.“
