“Single women beware I was being followed throughout the building on the way to the elevators to get the restaurant. Followed by one guy that I saw, but when I got to the elevators he came to the elevators and another guy was behind him, he did some sign language to the other guy as they slowly walked by as I had just explained to the lady at the elevator I was being followed. I don’t know what they were planning but he definitely looked me in my face as I entered the Renaissance building, as he was already there, then he began to follow me as I saw him every time I looked back over my shoulder. Getting to these elevators are difficult so you have to stop and read the signage and figure out which way to go and he could’ve been gone on his way but No he didn't! I definitely felt uneasy and fearful. I was celebrating my birthday and meeting my niece there. Women be careful!!!!!! The salad was Great! The octopus was just ok, would not order again, the Halibut was bland but fair.“

We ended up with calamari, scallops, gnudi, and trilece for dessert. This place was one of the best parts of our trip and we're excited to return. The girl working found the cook (who also takes the orders) & just happened to be on lunch. I wouldn't have minded waiting if there would've been a little 30 min break sign up or something. “The Eagle Tavern is something special I feel . It definitely takes you back to a simpler time .. where the menu will consist of food that’s in season and readily available from the area. I.E roast pork (which I got and was amazing ) Fish , roasted chicken various root vegetables and nice homemade breads and desserts. Staff is dressed to period which dates around the 1850’s or so and are very welcoming and accommodating. You sit at tables with other families like a big dining hall. Though you can get a table for yourselves if you have a big enough party . We just had three in ours so we were sat with another party of three and it was nice to meet and eat with other people and hear their stories . They do have a kids menu it is limited though !! Chicken fingers , PB&J and Mac and cheese. My son got chicken fingers and it came with orange slice’s and roasted potato wedges. Overall we had a great experience and the atmosphere sights and sounds does kinda take you back to a simpler slower time which I enjoyed . Must visit if you plan on a trip to greenfield village . Expect to wait around a half hour or so. Not sure if that’s the average but it was pretty busy the day we went . Definitely will be going back if we go back to greenfield village.“

Every time my brother comes in town, no matter how far his hotel stay is in the suburbs, he’s coming here for breakfast and says repeatedly, “There’s no place in Virginia that even compares to Lon’s”. ONE COOK is grilling for an entire dining area of people and how he can navigate the orders, get them right and serve the customers delicious, piping hot food in a timely fashion is short of amazing! He’s quiet and doesn’t have time to ‘chit chat’ but will speak briefly. Omelets are fresh and delicious. Specify if you want your hash browns ON THE SIDE, otherwise they may be stuffed inside which is still good. Wait staff is pleasant and accommodating but most importantly, cooking and prep area is clean and tidy. Enjoy!“
