He was patient, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Our group had quite a few requests, but Hunter handled everything with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. His professionalism and positive energy really set the tone for the entire meal. It's not every day you come across that level of service, and it definitely made our brunch memorable. “This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!“

The owners of The Whitney have done so much to preserve this amazing estate in Detroit without any funding assistance from the government or grants. I waited like 15+ mins in the rain to order. I walked inside half way through the wait to look for someone, never found anyone. Went back outside & waited with 4 more people & no one ever came so after 15+ mins, I went upstairs to the store & asked for help. The girl working found the cook (who also takes the orders) & just happened to be on lunch. I wouldn't have minded waiting if there would've been a little 30 min break sign up or something. Honestly it seemed like he either hated his job or he's definitely overworked & maybe the only employee besides the girl upstairs Even though customer service was not good, the food was amazing & I'll definitely eat there again next time I'm in town.“

The other patrons were a morning delight. The food was delicious and tasty. The wait wasn't long at all 😁. The outside of the restaurant was clean. The inside was clean and inviting. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat... especially early in the morning.“

“We loved our first visit to JoJo's. It was Sunday Funday with home game #2 for the Detroit Lions and we made JoJo's our pregame stop for food and fun. I am so glad we tried it and loved it. “A Perfect Start Before the Ballgame

Stopped in before a game at Comerica, and it was a fantastic way to kick off the day. Though the place was short-staffed, the service didn’t miss a beat. Our waitress and the busser were both clearly busy, but they still delivered outstanding service. The coffee was hot with quick refills, and our food came out fast, fresh, and solid all around. Pricing was more than fair for the quality and portion sizes. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!“

“This is a grip of nostalgia from the word go.

This restaurant is never more than it needs to be. One person on the grill, one waitress, and a great lineup of breakfast and lunch options.

The place is cash only, which is not something you see everyday. And EVERYTHING on the menu is under $10.

You won’t find a better value for breakfast in the area. The cynics would say it needs to be renovated, but if they do it would take away from the charm.

Nothing needs to change about this place. We will be here again. Thank you“
