“Fischer's locally known simply as "Happy Hour" is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. I love going to Happy Hour because it just feels so cozy, you don't find places like this anymore. Can't recommend it enough!”

“Green Bird is a little slice of Heaven! They even practice sustainable farming via their “flerd“ (flock of chickens and herd of sheep) who rotate through each row of vines. I sat down and immediately signed up for the wine club because I knew this was something I wanted to support! And yes, the server was new this season but very knowledgeable and warm. No high-brow wine snobbery here! P.S. wine and cheese pairings are fantastic.”

“I've been to a lot of breweries but I couldn't wait to leave this one fast enough. The place was very dirty and run down. I'm an outdoor person but I couldn't walk through the joint without nats flying up my nose. There were bags of trash next to our table. The floors were covered in dirt and weeds outside. They obviously take no pride in their bulding and land. The beer was good, but didn't mind the extra protein. I never leave reviews, but I had too. The two stars are for the beer and the pizza looked good. Although there were some definite health code violations with the food. It would take so little to make this place great. Definitely disappointed.”

“The food was great and our service was great! Those things are earning the recommendation…. We dined here on April 1 (first day of spring break) at approximately 2:00-3:00PM. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. The bartender was BUSY!! The place got progressively busier while we were there. There were two other employees that appeared to be not busy, at all. So much so that we observed one, sometimes both, standing, holding up a counter, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the bartender was running his fool head off. When we left, there were at least 4 people that were bowling, waiting at the end of the bar, to get refills on their drinks. The bartender was running around helping other customers and one of the previously mentioned employees was leaning against the opposite end of the bar, DOING NOTHING! I have worked in the restaurant industry for many, many years and I would be livid if this situation were happening to me. Even if these two employees have other roles, not allowed to run the computer/register/whatever, I’m fairly certain it would be ok for them to wash their hands and fill waters, refill soft drinks, etc. Anything would be helpful for this poor guy who, from the eyes of customers, is doing all of the things while another employee does nothing.”

“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

“Owners chatted us up. Cool mist on a August day first westerly from BigBlue. Also some east off west GT bay. Flowers grew like crazy, plants health. We had the MaLbec each time. Told friends owning Local Pour downstate in Sawyer Michigan along west coast and now they carry it.
We normally stay in TC. Find us a two bed place close to you and we will stay a couple weeks!”

“Love this place! The coffee is perfect and people are nice. But for the life of me, why do you close at 2? I watched dozens of people coming to the door at 2 only to be told they're closed. People want coffee till 4 p.m. at least, maybe later. Why have a seasonal business that only opens 6 hours a day?”

“We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat here one night for dinner. We had the smash burgers and were pleasantly surprised by how good they were. A bit pricy but comparable to nearby places.”

“Anne Popa is very welcoming, and has respectable and excellent customer service! my boyfriend and I have gotten pizza here and we most certainly 110% can taste the secret ingredient which is LOVE. “The rooms are filled with a tv, microwave, toaster, utensils, coffee pot, the beds and pillows were comfy and a great nights rest. The view is a 1000% Awesome. The hospitality and generosity was outstanding. everything was clean and well maintained! Highly recommend this place. If money was no object, I would never leave. I fell in love with this place and I definitely will be back!! they trusted us and we trusted them. it's hard to find genuine people these days and the owners definitely showed us that there are still kind people around!! I'd give this place 1 million stars. I miss it already!!”

“Update: Great perch kone. Glad we came here to redeem our visit to Bay Harbor. Obviously they sold that restaurant - now Brandy's - awful food, self serve, on paper plates with plastic cups. Asked if they had Whitefish and I was told " oh yes the fish is white once cooked" (yes she was very serious and yes she was blonde!)”
