“An Italian place for a great bite and was very quick. Apparently they have two kitchens and were able to get everything out so fast. It was my first time there and our server was so accommodating and helpful! I had some small plates (potatos, scampi and brocolini) that were delicious paired with good red wine. All the food was cooked perfectly, I was very happy with this experience“
“My favorite high end sub shop located downtown. They use fresh, quality ingredients and offer a unique atmosphere with style and flare. I recommend the eggplant or classic Italian but they are all quite delicious. Enjoy. Big Blue out.Parking: Parking lot is small but most people are coming and going with relative ease. That said it can and does get busy downtown so be warned.“
“This restaurant is so amazing! The people are so kind and are always so social and helpful. The food is delicious and I love the bread that they serve. I enjoy their mocktails and would 100% recommend this place to anyone who enjoys kind people and a wonderful cuisine.“
“Pizza Crawl 2024 Stop #4For our 10-year anniversary we are stopping in Chicago, Detroit, NYC, and New Haven, CTThis is one of the pizza places I have been most excited to try as I love Detroit style pizza. There is not a lot of sauce, but the sauce that is there is good. I did not love the Parmesan in the crust. Overall it was very good!Vibe is what you’d expect of a pizza parlor and the service is decent!“
“Wow! Staying at a hotel a couple of bocks away so we decided to try it here for dinner, and we were NOT disappointed! Marvin was great, and the food was absolutely delicious! Chicken parm was HUGE (took half to go) and was seasoned perfectly. Hubby had the gnocchi with sausage and said it was FABULOUS! We both added a salad to our meals, house salad for me and Caesar for him. Had the Arancini for an appetizer, and it was soooo good! Order a pomegranate blueberry mule, and you will thank me!Parking: There is a large paid lot right across the street that is really inexpensive (75 cents an hour)“
“The food was AMAZING!! It was our first time in downtown Detroit and was recommended by a couple of workers where we were shopping! Those garlic knots are super yummy! Pizza to die for! Best Bacardi and diet I’ve ever gotten from a bar!! Our waitress was super nice and very attentive and our food came out quickly!! Will definitely be back!!“
“I went here with some friends for dinner and drinks. The place is kind of small but also very cute and open. The kitchen is open is an open concept, so you can see what the chef's are up to and see them make pasta as well. We sat at the bar, and the service and drinks were great! The food was so tasty and fresh. The linguine al granchio has a nice light lemon taste to it , while the Tarre al Tartufo is a light but savory truffle taste. I highly recommend both, as well as the fish, which was very fresh!!“
“Incredible flavors, incredible service, incredible overall experience.Everything that was prepared for our table not only had a gorgeous presentation, but also exquisite flavor. From the scallops, to the steak, to the octopus, and even the mac and cheese made for a picky toddler, it was an amazing dining experience. And the dessert! Just WOW! Their pastry chef is truly gifted.A must try!!!!!Kid-friendliness: They were able to make specific accommodations for children“
“If I had guests who wanted to eat one variety of the Detroit Style pizza family, this is where I'd go.The interior is classic 1950s Italian restaurant - red carpet, wax covered Chianti bottles hung on the wall.Warning: I've eaten at home for a while, and I assume waiting lines still exist.Loui's even offered car pick-up during the pandemic. The bads: can be difficult to find, use your hands free phone! The roads were beat up, but a major source of tax income was lost when a nearby horse race track shut down ?Wheelchair accessibility: No known problems.“
“UPDATE: I have been here multiple times and the place NEVER FAILS to impress. Some, if not the best drinks in Detroit. They stock hard to find bourbons and will take you on a cocktail journey with customized drinks simply based on your tastes. The food is always wonderful. If there is EVER Arctic Char on the menu...order it! I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. One of my favorites of all time!Great place with awesome staff members and phenomenal drinks. Get the Cork & Gable old fashioned...$25 but so flipping good.Sept 22- Still one of the best, if not THEE best craft cocktail places in the city. John is an F'ing wizard with spirits and one of the main reasons we come. Food is absolutely fantastic as well.“
“Wow….this is the best authentic Italian restaurant in the area. Highly recommended. The staff acts as one and is truly a team and family. Our waiter was Cody, and his attention to detail was impeccable. Call ahead for reservations as this is truly a highly sought after restaurant. All homemade food, not the microwave stuff others serve.Parking: On site parking“
“Stopped here for a bite and a meeting. The place is clearly a hot spot for locals who like a good meal. The place has a retro feel to it and has a lot of charm with the decorative decor.Once you’re seated, you look over the menu to which you then go up to the counter to order. The food is then brought to your table. The plates and silverware are near the pop machine, which is all self serve. The staff were all friendly and attentive to your needs with some additional light banter. They certainly add to the atmosphere and experience. The food was made fresh and delicious. The Mediterranean pizza was made with fresh materials and with just enough topping to make it very filling the other dishes also looked very fresh being the chicken sandwich and salad along with a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. This would be a stop for me again. The only odd thing is parking and that is easily overlooked once you understand the method of getting there.“
“Have gotten food here several times. Each time I say how amazing it is and how I should write a review so everyone knows, well I finally am. Fantastic food. Friendly service. We've gotten the caciones and they're amazing! Highly recommend this place to everyone!“
“Food and service was relatively average but it was a bust night.... However this place is totally worth the visit for the wine list and the super knowledgeable sommelier. After discussing our usual wine preferences, he was able to recommend a type of red we haven't tried from a region that was also new to us and it was excellent - one of the best in recent memory.“
“Hands down, the best pizza in town, like they say. I work around the area, and once a week i have my personal 10" pizza. Its just so delicious, the melted hot cheese is fantastic. Amazing!!!Parking: Parking in the back, plenty of space.“
“We strongly recommend you try Buddy's Pizza if you haven't had the chance yet. Especially, the gluten-free Pizza crust so soft and yummy! We received prompt and friendly service from beginning to the end of our dinning experience. Martez, our server was a blast and a huge part of our fantastic time there. John from the kitchen helped us out with making formative decisions to meet my childs' dietary health needs. We were a party of 9 but treated like a party of 2 with the efficient, quick and fabulous service. Now if you can open a location in Toronto, Canada tgat would be greatly appreciated. We have a huge community that us missing out on your service and that Amazing gluten-free pizza crust. People are missing out.“
“Alpino is a very good restaurant. The chef doesn't overwhelm you with choices, but I recommend checking the menu before you go since there may not be something for you.If you haven't had the Swiss/Alpine style food before, I recommend you explore the menu, and I'm confident you won't be disappointed. It is very reasonably priced and the staff was very, very friendly and super helpful with the menu.“
“Excellent cute, unique place! Outstanding service and amazing food. Great menu and definitely well executed. We loved everything about the decor and the vibe! It makes you feel like you're on vacation.... either in Miami, California or even a cruise! The drink menu is unique and satisfies all sorts of different tastes. I loved the 59’ BIARRITZ ON SUNSET. If you like a little bit of a stronger drink, the MOTOWN BEETS is worth trying too!The Beef Tartare was delicious. As well as the Huge MF short rib, the Rigatoni Ragout, and the Margherita Pizza. They were all PERFECT in their own category. There were no leftovers in our party of 4... nothing to even clean off the plates. The Toasted Pistachio Caffe Latte was excellent! Also, their deserts are to die for. We had the Detroit Chocolate Cake and the Warm Apple Crostata, and even though they're big enough to share, we really didn't want to. Sorry, not sorry. LolOur waitress Carrie was OUTSTANDING! HATS OFF to her!We will definitely be back!Parking: There's plenty of paid street parking at a very decent hourly rate. If not, valet is also an option.“
“It's simply wow! This place reminds me of the many great pizza joints scattered throughout NYC, NY. While the prices are higher, so is the quality and in my book it's still a great ROI. Order if you're looking for high caliber ingredients and taste. It's in the same league as Crispelli, Sopino, and Bigalora. Give it a try. Our family has been back several times and they have not even been open that long.“
“We travelled to Windsor to take our kids to the Waterpark and were told La Guardia was the best restaurant in Windsor. They were right as this was real authentic Italian food. The best ever! Our server Chris was outstanding with great service and very knowledgeable of our menu choices!“
“It was lunch time and the staff wouldn't stop apologizing about being behind. Everything was ok with it because we knew what we were getting. Some of the best sandwiches in the state and an awesome olive bar. The wait really wasn't that long and the food was very fresh and great tasting as usual.“
“DIB is a staple of the Dearborn Community. They offer a large variety of baked goods, as well Italian products such as noodles, candies, etc. They are famous for their delicious marinara and meat sauces, their pizza rolls, their lasagna, and their pizzas and subs. Their breakfast pizzas are amazing! I introduced them to my co workers and now some of these people that live in Southgate, Trenton and Wyandotte drive all the way here to get lasagna or pizza. Absolutely worth stopping in.Parking: Plenty of parking except at peak times, but you can park on the side street if need be.“
“Got carry out from Giuliano’s and it was great! The garlic bread was delicious. The new beef meatballs were awesome. The chicken alfredo was very creamy and tasted great. The chicken parm was a very large portion and tasted awesome. Very pleased with this place and will definitely be coming back!“
“I went here as part of a funeral luncheon and Mama Mia's did not disappoint! Staff were very courteous and receptive to our large party. They made sure drinks were filled and topped off and the food was superb! The manager(?) was even kind enough to sit down and offer their condolences and also let everyone try their delicious pizza!! Customer service was excellent and I would gladly return in the future. Thank you for making this a very positive and memorable experience.“
“Got their pina (zucchini pizza), giardino (veggie pizza, and their creamy pesto pasta. Had zucchini pizza because a friend recommended it, but it was really salty for some reason. The veggie was really good! Good balance of all the toppings cheese and sauce. Loved the artichokes with it. Pasta was creamy and delicious.“
“Exceptional Itilian dining. I am a fan of the Da Eduardo restraunts. Each one has some unique items you do not get at the others. Highly recommend.Parking: If lucky enough to get street parking, good for you. If not, private lot rates are between $10 and $100, depending on what is going on. If there is an event in the area, you will be gouged.“
“We went for my father in law's 92nd birthday celebration. We often have our family events at Tony's. We have been going there for almost 45 years! It has been wonderful to see the little kids who were often at their Mom's side to grow up and be running the family business and they remember who you are when walking in the door!Parking: Plenty of places to park, continue around the building to find more spots!Kid-friendliness: They treat the kids with so much love.Wheelchair accessibility: We are not wheelchair bound but walkers are easily accessible, I can't see any reason at all that anyone in a wheelchair couldn't navigate into and around the restaurant.“
“First time here. Definitely coming back. Zucchini chips were delicious. I had the eggplant wrap with truffle fries. Tiramisu. All delicious!! I like the fact that the music they play is not so loud. Server was good. Don't remember her name but she had pink highlights. Good prices too!Parking: Not a big lot but good sized for the area.“
“Our server Brandon was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and very professional! The food was excellent! The owner Mike came to our table and introduced himself, which was a very nice and personal touch added to the entire experience! Brandon and Andiamo made my birthday very special!“
“The quality of the Italian food was top shelf. My wife had the special, a Branzino, delivered to the table on a cart and it was prepared impeccably. I had the veal parmigiana which was prepared with the bone. The best I have had in the state of Michigan. The waiters visited the table often with drinks/water, etc. but the kitchen was a little slow. A great place to eat for a special dinner as the cost matched the quality of the food.“
“We ordered a gluten free pizza and a vegan gluten free pizza. These were the best gluten free pizzas we have had! Wait staff and management were great! Definitely go back!Vegetarian options: Vegan pizzas with vegan cheese.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza! And gluten free vegan pizza. All clearly marked and made on separate spaces/cleaned surfaces in kitchen per wait staff.“
“I was looking for a new restaurant to try for lunch and came across ZZ Market & Grill. They have a ton of selections that are fresh and made to order. I decided to try the corned beef sandwich on onion roll (no coleslaw or sauerkraut) with extra sauce. I also ordered the garlic Parmesan tater tots and they were nice and crispy as requested. Portion size was plentiful, so I had lunch for two days lol. The food was hot and delicious and I'm definitely adding this to my list lunch spots in Detroit!“
“Every part of this evening was amazing. Hanna B, our server, was attentive, friendly, and had amazing recommendations. The food was AMAZING, the drinks were great. Alexia and Brianna were very friendly hosts, and made sure to keep us posted via text on our wait. It was a long wait for dinner, but it was well deserved. We will be back!!!“
“I hadn’t been to Corsi’s in years ( over 40 years), I drove past it and remembered how wonderful it was when I was much younger. My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday 7/22/23, and I have to say the food was DELICIOUS!My husband ordered chicken Marsala and he was hooked! It was that good.I ordered spaghetti/meat sauce with meatballs. The meatballs are quite large, moist and cooked to perfection. Each of dinner came with salad and warm bread. We had the pleasure to meet with one of the family members, Mrs. Corsi, who was exceptional. She is personable, customer oriented and professional. She gave us a quick history of the restaurant, and treated us warmly and like VIP’s. While dining my husband and I saw her mingling with guests and treating everyone like they were dear friends! We were truly impressed with her reaction with her guests! The restaurant is definitely worth frequenting, the food is delicious, the hostess is warm and welcoming.Thank you Mrs. Corsi for making our dinner experience special! We will return soon !“
“Excellent food, atmosphere and amazing staff. Made my birthday dinner special. We roll a different way. Bruschetta , grilled calamari, linguini friuti de mare and salmon with sundried tomato pesto. Definitely one of my top spots in the city. And calamari needs to be grilled and NOT fried!“
“After returning to Detroit from the vibrant streets of Mexico, where the sun always shines, I found solace in the comforting embrace of El Brazon. Tucked away amidst the gray and cold skies, this gem of a restaurant beckoned me with promises of authentic Mexican flavors.Navigating through the inconspicuous rear entrance from the parking lot, we found ourselves welcomed into a cozy interior. While reservations are advisable, we managed to secure a table for two without much delay. Although the decor leaned towards simplicity, it served as a stark contrast to the explosion of flavors awaiting us in the dishes.Opting for indoor seating over the covered outdoor area, we were promptly attended to by the bustling staff. Their efficiency ensured that our dining experience was not only swift but also filled with warmth and hospitality. We indulged in a shared salad followed by a traditional Mexican dish, both of which exceeded our expectations in terms of taste and authenticity.Remarkably, within a mere 45 minutes, we had savored every bite and found ourselves reluctantly bidding farewell to El Brazon. Its convenient parking and secure location offered a sense of ease, distinct from the hustle and bustle of downtown Detroit—a factor that drew us to this hidden culinary haven. In conclusion, for a taste of Mexico without leaving the comfort of Detroit, I wholeheartedly recommend El Brazon. From its delectable cuisine to its efficient service and cozy ambiance, it is a dining experience worth savoring time and time again.“
“Parking: Google maps will send you to a one-way exit only "road" to their front door. You can choose to ignore it and enter, park as close as possible w/o entering and walk, or drive around the entire building to properly enter the one-way exit only roadWheelchair accessibility: There are a couple of handicap parking spaces but their door is not automatic so anyone confined to a wheelchair will need assistance to enter into the establishment.“
“Our server André was absolutely amazing! The experience wouldn't have been the same without him. We were celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday, and he became part of the family. The food was great, but André was definitely the icing on the cake!“
“Im not from this area, was here for work and a work friend suggested it. It's a really small place. Very nice people. The pierogi were good. I felt the potato pancakes were not really for me, but they were ok. That's all I tried. My friend likes the burrito. It was pretty big.“
“We just moved to the area and we have been slowly sampling food around the area. This might be our favorite so far! The service was kind, knowledgeable, and made my husband feel welcome when he went in to get our food. When we got home we eagerly dug into chicken florentine and spaghetti with Italian sausage. They were both delicious and tasted so fresh! The breadsticks were warm and buttery and the dressing for our salad was phenomenal! Thank you for the welcome to the neighborhood!“
“Stopped in for brunch after the parade today and was amazed. The food was sooooo good. It felt like I was on a mini vacation with all of the greenery and comfy seating. I’ll be back for dinner this week! On a side note, there was a great room for private parties!“
“Parking: Very good food I ordered a lobster Mac and cheese and the lobster was cooked very good not to salty like most places, also a waiter name Matthew is a very funny guy and also respectful he even boxed our food for us, I recommend this place for sure I’ll be back.“
“My first visit to Bacco Ristorante was phenomenal. From the very attentive wait staff to the cheesecake dessert this was a memorable experience. The food was well prepared and the plate visually appealing. I had the veal parmigiano. Very delicious. Light and tender with a flavorful tomatoe forward sauce that made every bite delectable.“
“The waitress I didn't catch her name but she has black hair was fantastic I don't come in here often because I don't eat breakfast out but she remembers the last time I was there and she even recommended that I change my order which I did and I'm very happy that I did, and it's nice to see Berkley finest having breakfast ,my wife loves picking up their tab, I highly recommend breakfast at the Country Oven“
“I got a small square one topping free for my birthday during this visit. Although I've ordered in the past from here. The food has always tasted good. I just wish their crust had a little more flavor around the edges, as they don't offer flavored crust. Still good pizza though the sauce is very flavorful. The guy at the counter was super nice and wished me a happy birthday. Wish I knew his name I'd give him a shout out!“
“Today was my first time here. I had the prime rib dinner. The prime rib wasn't really my cup of tea. But the other person with me loved it! You pretty much get like 3 sides with it. The prime rib is hugeeee. My side pasta was really good. Oh and the bread sticks! I did NOT need these in my life hahaha. ADDICTING!I was shocked at how cheap our meal was. $42 for two people seems pretty fair to me with all the food we got! I'll be back for sure!“
“Dined in with our family of 5, which includes 3 kids who are 11,9, and 7. Dinner was great. Food not only looked amazing but tasted the same. Service was as good as it gets. Really a great place to eat. The kids absolutely loved every bit of it. We will definitely be back.“
“I love Zino’s! This is the perfect pizza when you need a delivery style pizza. Cheese is unreal. Zino’s cheese bread with the feta, phenomenal! Sauce is robust. Flavorful, with a great blend of spices. Crust is soft, and slightly sweet. If it’s game day, or you want a family night meal this is one of my go-to pizza spots. Delivery is fast and food arrives hot. I can’t recommend this place enough. I struggled for a long time trying to find just a solid pizza spot and Zino’s ticks off a lot of boxes. You won’t find a better pizza in Ferndale, Royal Oak, or Madison Heights.“
“Maine street is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The service was great and the owners were very welcoming. The food was also amazing. I highly recommend trying their corned beef sandwich, as well as their deep fried cheesecake. Overall the experience and atmosphere was superb and I highly recommend.“
“Since my 1st review, I learned this is much more than a pizza joint. Its more of a carry out italian restauant. If you crave top notch, quality italian food, this is the place. I usually get the meatballs with the eggplan parmesan. Just delicious! This place makes the best meatballs. Texture is prefect. Flavor is spot on. It comes in a marinara sauce and a generous dollop of creamy riccota. The eggplant parmesan is properly cooked and also delicious. It comes with a side of spagetti. Only critique is the side of pasta lacks sauce. It is a bit pricey, but 2 will eat this for 2 days, so the value is there. This is about as good if not better then most other quality dine in Italian restaurants. And the nicest thing is the staff is excedingly friendly and an absolute pleasure to interact with.“
