“I'm not from MI, but I'm staying for a week and was looking for vegan places to eat. I stumbled upon Veg-N and gave it a try. There is no dine-in so do keep that in mind. I just placed our order on their website, and within 15m it was ready! Pulled up to the drive-thru and was met with lovely customer service. We were offered on the house cookies and oh my they were amazing. Got home and unpacked the food to find little peppermints and handwipes in the bag!! I finished my Reuben in 5 minutes it was so good, the patty was soft and juicy and the kraut was perfect. The chili fries were great too - maybe a little sweet for me, but my friend said they were just right for her. Only thing I could ask for would be glaze on the cinnamon roll but I didn't expect any. Just wishful thinking. Overall, great place. The people seem lovely, the food came out fast, and it tasted amazing. I'm only here for a few more days but I will definitely be back, it was just that good. If you like burgers, fries, cookies, or cinnamon rolls you need to check this place out - vegan or not you will love it.“

“It's true, the menu has been greatly reduced. There are still legit options and several daily specials. Sadly, my favorites that include 🥲 the Brussel sprouts, the tofu salmon, 😕 mac'n cheese and the chicken strips are all gonesville. Service was still great and food was excellent as usual.“

“We had M I Vegan cater our wedding and our guests RAVED. As a vegan couple, it was important to us to have vegan entrees and we went with two options: 1. Burger and Garlic Parm Fries and 2. “Went there this evening to get some takeout--a salad and two entrees. The person who waited on us was very helpful, guiding us through the online ordering process. And the food was sensational! A great salad, and my dinner a poke bowl with raw tuna, was so delicious I had to force myself to stop eating it even though I was full. My wife's dinner was also really tasty, and now we both have leftover that we're looking forward to. I can't believe we'd never been there before--the place is less than five minutes from our house. Long version:

Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles) is one of my favorite dishes. Theirs is good, but not great, and I understand the other reviews saying that their food seems sugary. It’s a bit sweeter than any other Pad Kee Mao I have in memory.

I did love the spice level, I loved the atmosphere, but just wish the dish had more flavor and texture. It was slightly too rubbery, slightly too sweet, slightly expensive for the portion size, slightly lacking in flavor, and overall I would categorize it as a place I would go when I really want Thai but there aren’t many other options. But I would still enjoy it without raving about it.

I think my biggest negative is that the noodles felt somewhat overcooked, like in a wok that had seen too much food that day or that a previous dish had been overcooked in.

Definitely not 3/5. Definitely not 5/5. But worth trying.“

“I haven’t been here in years. My girlfriend was craving some bbq and we decided to venture 18 minutes across town to head here. Mlk was closed so we had to drive through genesse neighborhood, but was it worth it. I don’t like to take pictures of peoples food cause it doesn’t usually do it justice when you find good food. Kayla and our kid shared a pound of brisket and baked Mac and cheese and macaroni salad. Hands down the best brisket that I’ve had in the area and the macaroni salad was insane. My kid said it was the best he’s ever eaten. As for me I opted for a chicken banh mi, everything was fresh and just what I wanted on top of the chicken being excellent on an excellent roll. We sat there with linh and talked about food as I also am in the industry about how her store used to be a phone store and me doing breakfast in the food truck. I highly recommend this place, she works by herself and cares so much about the food. Just like I do. It’s great to find another person and place like this“

“This is a pretty cool bar. We've been there a few times. The atmosphere is great. They're usually so busy that the service is hit or miss. The food is tasty bar food. My only gripe is that it's not gluten allergen friendly. Their best food are burgers and all the burgers come with fries that are have bread coating. There's really no substitute. If you're looking for a cool bar, go here. If you have gluten issues, skip it. There's better options elsewhere in EL.“

“Absolutely adored this place! We tried to do a walk in a few months back but got the vibe it was best reserved. We came back for our anniversary and am so pleased we did!!! They had our table set with a tea light candle and a small card for the occasion. Our server was so kind, checked in just enough but not too much- and even offered a free dessert. The FOOD! Was so fresh and the miso soup incredibly filling. It all came reasonably fast too. I will be back!“

Lansing Swagath owner/operator folks are checking your reviews, we really liked everything , but we suggest you find an interior advisor (e.g. some where around MSU, and change your lighting). “I've been going to the Avenue since before it was the Avenue. The owner was always so supportive of the local music scene and I admired that. The staff is always cute and sweet. I have never been disappointed in service there. The atmosphere is warm and inviting for everyone. At the Avenue I don't have to worry about me or my friends getting picked on because of our gender/sexual orientation or where we are from because the staff is very protective of their patrons and do not tolerate violence or bullying. I'm super grateful to have his gem in our town. I especially love that they have live music, all-ages shows every Sunday, AND that they serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages for the nights where I can't or don't feel like drinking alcohol. Chilling outside is fun too!!“
