“If you find yourself near Onekama, Michigan, do yourself a favor ad make a stop at the Blue Slipper Tavern. This local gem offers great food, excellent service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. A seasonal highlight right now is the deep-fried asparagus - crispy, flavorful, excellent dip and absolutely worth the trip while it's still in season. Don't wait too long - it's a limited time treat that truly stands out. Service was fast and friendly with staff who clearly care about creating a good experience for their guests. Even better, the prices are more than fair for the quality you get. The tavern is launching an outdoor venue with live music which promises to make this spot even more of a local favorite as summer rolls in. This was my second visit, but it definitely won't be my last. Highly recommend stopping by.“

“My wife and I came down from Suttons Bay for a quick getaway and stopped in for a bite and some drinks. The bartender was super friendly and we felt like we were back home in our little hometown bar. The food was great. Drinks were perfect. We met the owner and he is a great guy. Definitely recommend if a small local bar is your thing.“

“⛳ Arcadia Bluffs - South Course, Arcadia, MI: 👍👍👍👍👍
Experience a Strategic Masterpiece at the South Course of Arcadia Bluffs, a distinct golfing destination designed to challenge golfers with classic architecture inspired by Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor. Opened in 2018, the South Course complements the famous Bluffs Course and provides a more strategic play with a nod to historic golf design.
COURSE QUALITY👍: The South Course is meticulously maintained, featuring firm, fast conditions with a unique layout that includes squared greens and geometric bunkers. It has more sand bunkers, fewer trees, and minimal water hazards, making it challenging for golfers to focus on precision and placement. The greens are extremely tough, requiring careful putting to avoid three-putts or more. The overall layout is designed to test golfers’ strategic thinking and shot-making abilities.
SERVICE & HOSPITALITY👍: The staff at the South Course are exceptional, providing professional service from start to finish. The starters, pro shop staff, and restaurant crew are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a great experience for every golfer. During our visit with a group of eight golfers, we found the staff attentive and welcoming, enhancing the overall enjoyment.
AMENITIES👍: The South Course boasts excellent facilities, including a well-equipped clubhouse, full-service restaurant, and pro shop stocked with quality golf merchandise. The practice facilities, which include a driving range and putting greens, are well-maintained, providing a comprehensive warm-up experience before hitting the course.
PACE of PLAY👍: Despite its popularity, the pace of play on the South Course is generally well-managed. Even with a group of eight golfers, we were able to maintain a steady pace throughout the round, allowing for an enjoyable and timely finish.
LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY👍: Located a mile inland from Lake Michigan, the South Course is easily accessible from the main Arcadia Bluffs resort lodge. The scenic surroundings add to the allure of the course, making it a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts seeking a beautiful and challenging round.
In summary, the South Course at Arcadia Bluffs offers an exceptional golfing experience with a strategic layout, excellent facilities, and welcoming staff. It’s a perfect choice for those looking to enjoy a blend of historic design and modern golf in a picturesque setting. Highly recommended for those who appreciate the classic elements of golf architecture and challenging greens.“

“We really like eating there. We drive there from Ludington. The food has always been good. Except we have noticed last summer the broasted chicken has changed. It's smaller pieces. Maybe they can't help that but, not sure why but the chicken has been way over cooked. The meat is really dry. We hope this gets figured out. It's happened several times now. We'll give it another try. It used to be when you cut into the chicken juice would run out. Man, that was so good. Probably over cooking it because the pieces are smaller... ??“
“Very clean upscale restaurant off the beaten path. The food and presentation makes you feel like you are eating at a prestigious restaurant in a big city. If you're looking for great tasting food with an amazing view then this place is worth seeking out. Besides it's on the most scenic road in Michigan, M22“

“Excellent smash burgers, cooked to perfection. I had the Impossible Burger swap and it was grilled so well-great char! Could not even tell the burgers were plant-based. Mom loved her beef burger, as well. Fries were also super good! Not sure what the Outsider sauce is but it was tasty! Onion rings were delicious-crispy outside, juicy, plump onions inside.
Highly recommend for bigger small groups. Easy walk-up ordering, a bar to sit for drinks, and an outside area to take food out.“

“Lahey's Pub is a local favorite -- great people serving creative cocktails and the vibe is laid-back and relaxed. Laura, Jamil and the rest of the gang are always welcoming. Grab some pizza or a salad from Portage Point Pizzeria and Cafe' with an ice-cold beer from Lahey's Pub and relax on the porch. Beautiful Portage Lake makes for an amazing view! It doesn't get any better than that.“
