“This local restaurant in Michigan has it's positive and negatives regarding accessibility. The door to the restaurant is narrow, a single door, which could be problematic for someone in a wheelchair for example, it is also a pull door with a small handle, which could also present difficulties for someone. Upon entering, the line to order food also intersects with tables for seating creating a very narrow area, but also a very overstimulating one. The kitchen is not blocked off by a full wall, thus the sounds from the kitchen, staff, and people eating presents a very noisy environment that could be overstimulating for some, and also make it challenging for someone with a hearing impairment to hear. Though this could present an issue for someone, the website offers the menu and screen reading is available, thus this could help someone determine what they want to eat prior to going inside, which could aid the audio issue but also prevent anxiety around ordering in a busy and loud area. There are three big windows at the front, and on a sunny day there is nothing to block it, which could be another barrier to accessibility. The tables in the restaurant are a positive as there are many different kinds, high top, low top, and booths, which allows people to chose what they prefer, and could also allow for more accessibility. The bathrooms at the back of the restaurant have wide doors, are very large, and are singles, which could help if someone needed more space in the bathroom for various reasons.“
“BEST LITTLE PLACE IN TOWN!!! My sister and I stopped in this past Sunday. The owner and all of her staff are completely awesome, very kind, efficient, smiles everywhere, loved the atmosphere and service. The food is definitely tremendously delicious! I will be going back for more! Thank you Drayton Cafe!“
“Was extremely impressed with this Coffee location. I got a cozy chai tea latte and hubby got a hot chocolate and breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was amazing! Can’t wait to come back to this location. The food/drinks are a bit expensive. But a nice treat!“
“I've lived in LO my entire life but haven't been here since they opened... maybe because I wasn't a fan of coffee back then lol! Went here this weekend to spend some time with a friend and saw several other people that I know, so it's a hangout loved by friends! So cozy and inviting, with quick, friendly and earnest service. Oh... and the coffee and scone were great too!“
“Staff are nice, music is nice, owner was chilling out in the cafe when I went. Coffee was also very good, got a black cold brew. Not sure what their budget looks like, but an update on the atmosphere is what this place needs to take it to the next level.“
“An institution. While other places in the area have withered away to relics, this place has remained true to what it's always been. You'll get your food and remember that this is how it's supposed to look. The people who make it care about it, and want you to savor it, and just enjoy being there. It's a cafe. It's the cafe. In a desert of aging strip malls, this is an oasis.Look through your phone, find an old friend you haven't talked to in a while, and arrange to meet up here. You'll smile, hug, laugh, grab a coffee, talk, then great food, more talking, more coffee, more laughs, and you'll wonder why you don't do this more often. This is a place to feel good.“
“Just had my first visit here and was completely satisfied. I had a Cinnamon tea with honey and it was delicious. I saw many things here I would love to try, and will on future visits. Looking forward to going back and experiencing the other fare they have to offer.“
“I got off work early on a rainy Friday night & just happen to drive thru Oxford - saw the sign for an arcade & decided to pop in.The staff was very friendly & I am astonished at the art on the walls; so darn cool.I live in Walled Lake, so I’m not sure when I’ll be back, but they definitely are a 5 Star establishment.“
