“Had not been here for a salad in a long time. Their Chef Salad was just as good or better than I remembered. Lots of fresh tasty vegetables, meats cheese. Freshly baked Pita Bread and Salad Dressing was just right! Waitress was wonderful! Very helpful. Happy with the price and prompt service. Highly recommend!! I will be returning a lot more regularly.“

“Par excellence. This place is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the mellow part of lovely Birmingham. It makes the neighborhood. This Cannelle, the original, makes my life more joyous. I have been coming here for a decade. The pastries and coffees are sublime. However, more importantly the energy, the vibe is unmatched. The staff can not do enough for you. The manager has fostered this vibe of excellence and should be very proud. BTW No one asked me to write this review. They don’t need my words of praise; the proof is in the pudding. “So we decided to take a different way home after spending the weekend in Detroit and went through West Bloomfield since I-75 has so much construction going on now….and we just happened to see Sunny’s and decided to stop in. WOW are we ever glad we did!! What a fantastic brunch!! The Belgian waffle with fresh fruit and whipped cream was incredible….and the meat lovers omelette was stellar too!! A little pricey, but worth every penny. Friendly staff too! This was our first time here and my wife and I already discussing when we can drive into West Bloomfield again (about 30 miles away) so we can enjoy a breakfast or brunch there again!!“

I personally think the novelty of it isn’t that bad. Sure, it’s not for everyone. Easy solution…stop complaining and don’t frequent. Plenty of others will.

The coffee is not bad, but is mediocre. I found the service to be great. At the end of the day, service is the single most important aspect of any business. I mean, your product can’t suck, but even if it’s mediocre (edible or drinkable), the service will be remembered more.“

“This review is for the Royal Oak Roast only. The road is full of as*holes , the world going to sh*t more and more. The people in charge care not at all and we are on a very possible path to doom. Why not stop in at Royal Oak Roast? It’s a comfy place with great people watching. The coffee is wonderful and refills are a dollar. So many different coffee choices in all styles, including espresso over over Weiss vanilla ice cream!!! The kitchen, yes I said kitchen has scrumptious food that is presented beautifully with the seasonal selections. All this sound good? Well that’s not even the best part. It’s the staff. “I can't recommend the Sunrise Cafe enough. Stopped in on a whim for breakfast while on a family adventure and everyone left happy and full. “Delicious, healthy prepared food. Homemade soups daily. The tomatoes in the garden salad tasted live they came straight from the farm. The salad dressings are homemade. Cozy atmosphere great for lunch with friends or dining alone.

Parking: In the Michigan Design building. Easy to find. Park anywhere on premises. I took the shuttle from the nearby car dealerships while waiting for service.“

“The cashier was completely rude to us for no reason upon checking out. We placed our loose items and small items on the belt. Everything else was single layer in the cart with the bar codes facing up for her convenience. But, after she scanned the cart full of items before us, she snapped at my husband. demanding everything be on the belt. This attitude was unprovoked, and not appreciated. And in the end created more work for not only us but herself while costing customers. I am not paying to deal with hostile employees. There are other warehouse stores like Costco & BJ's that would love and probably even appreciate our business.“

“I’ve been driving past this place everyday for the last year and just recently stopped in and haven’t stopped since. I am always greeted when I walk in and the women are super helpful. My first time she explained the entire menu to me and all the options. Even told me what bagels just came out of the oven. And when I tell you it was UNREAL I mean it! Egg and sausage sandwich on Asiago was so fresh and so tasty. I’ve gone a handful of times since and ever single time I walk out in a better mood. Elaine’s has amazing bagels and their hazelnut coffee is unmatched. You got yourself a regular. I recommend this place to anyone!“
