“The staff at this location are pushed to their limits every day. A lot of the time they are short staffed but still pushing through. They try their hardest every day, even when being belittled by rude and entitled customers....Customers that see about 15 minutes of what goes on in the restaurant, but act like they know everything about running a corporate restaurant where everything is prepared fresh, and there are standards and protocols in place for literally everything. None of the employees beg for reviews, they are left at the customers' discretion. From what I see there are dozens of happy customers that come in multiple times a week, and they are greeted by name and treated like family, myself included.
If you are constantly unhappy with this location, as it seems some of the folks in these reviews are, maybe just find somewhere else to eat, instead.“

“Just left Don Patron. Beautiful new restaurant. Service was friendly and quick. They bring chips and salsa to enjoy when you arrive. Salsa was yummy! Mild and not too hot for me! I had the #11 and a frozen Margarita. Omg! The Margarita was the best I have ever had. Came in a thick, frozen glass, salted rim and had colorful fruit on the rim with a thick straw. Taste excellent! The meal was plentiful and taste excellent.“

“I’ve been here before, but it’s been some years since that time. Tonight we came in with our 1 1 /2 yr old and the only thing I could ask for is to be more kid friendly. I asked the host tonight 3/27/25 if there were any extra balloons… my daughter could have while we had dinner and the host had to ask her manager & manager said no. Ok. 👍 cool. We have coloring books and sketch pads to keep her occupied, nothing from the restaurant and then my daughter had grilled cheese and fries come out and seriously piping hot. As a mom, I’m sorry, but her plate was so hot, fries and sandwich were so hot. How come the cooks couldn’t leave them out for a little bit of time before our meals came out or whatever… as a family restaurant you should have coloring crayons like other restaurants near by… and just simply be more kid friendly. It’s already hard enough to get out and specially as a family. I’m not sure after this experience that I personally will come back.“

“The Horchata water is made fresh and its super fun to drink. The tacos are the best if you like a little spice add the chile toriado to your order. This is also a cute place to just sit and catch up with freinds.“

“In the places that I’ve been to in Pontiac (which is quite a few) this has been the best place to eat that I have found and their pricing is competitive with other local restaurants. Also, the waiter that serve all tables displayed friendliness toward certain customers, not all. I had to ask for napkins and silverware, I did not get chips and salsa, which is complimentary. “Their steak tacos are made with ribeye steak. It was so delicious. They are made with real onion, diced tomatoes, cheese, cilantro. I will go back. I think the owner was happy that we came in because he gave us salsa, queso and fresh chips to try them. So good. I will be back.“

We had the taquitos dinner which was presented well in a fried basket shell with lettuce, pico and guacamole and to dip sour cream and queso. The chicken was well seasoned and not dry. We also had the fish Baja tacos and they were also not dry and flavorful with pineapple on the pico was an unexpected added touch that was delicious. The Baja fish dinner came with perfectly cooked seasoned fries. We rode a quite a way to try a new Mexican restaurant and we're not disappointed. We will definitely be going again.“

“From personal experience I don’t recommend working here, I don’t know how Margret has a job as a manager speaking from experience as well she’s so entitled until the owner comes in. Two of the managers I had no problem with they were very nice and understanding, But Margret was a nightmare in disguise I’m not the first to walk out because of her just in the past month we’ve lost 4 people not including me because of the way she treats, speaks, and acts towards people. I’m not one for bashing anybody but I don’t know how they let someone like her work and manage a good restaurant like this. We’ve had a couple of disagreements, but I’ll get to the point because I messed up an order while serving she tried to get me to pay for the food keep in mind this is my first mistake and I did pay for the food out of my tips but after the argument, I was told by two co-workers she took out her laptop and changed my schedule from 6 days to 3, which is now messing with my income. I'm a young man trying to save up for my schooling at the moment, so when I found this out and saw my schedule for next week I called her as anyone would do, she then declined my call and I texted her to call me we need to talk, she immediately texts back I’m busy and I’m questioning your tone? This is over text as well not a phone call. So at this point, I’m like what is her problem I wanna talk it out. So I went on to tell her about what I was told by my co-workers and my schedule which let’s be real 50-year-old women messing with 20 years old income over a disagreement is just absurd and honestly insane. I texted her what I was told and she responded with I think you need to take a step back and think about who you're talking to? So at this point, I’m mad because now it’s just a toxic conversation created by her Margret, I went on to say how she has made the work environment toxic and uncomfortable and that messing with my income is completely childish, and I had already told my other manager that if this continues I’m putting my two weeks in. So In general they knew I was leaving the company it was a toxic and uncomfortable environment not only for me but for everyone, Margret and her husband Luis act like they own the place, her husband is just a cook but that’s beside the point, everyone working there would say the same, one of the managers is about to quit because of the way Margret treats him I won’t say any other names because this is just about her how she made it such a toxic and uncomfortable environment. After I asked her how she would feel if someone was messing with her income, I didn’t get a response for hours to keep in mind they already knew I was gonna quit so she fired me before I could. After about 4 hours I get a text message towards the night saying it would be best if I didn’t come back and work a Rio on main and to be honest I felt relieved knowing I would never work for someone like that ever again. This was just one event I could go into another time when I was super sick, but we’re not because I don’t even really have time for this after I was let go I told her I hope she has a great life but I will be leaving a google review and yelp review about her. She ruined the environment, she messed with my income, she verbally assaulted me multiple times at work, and she verbally assaults another manager who is about to quit because she has made the environment so toxic for anyone she doesn’t agree with or anyone who doesn’t obey the craziest authority. I would understand paying for food if you messed up 7 orders but after my one mess up I couldn’t believe the way she treated me there and other servers and staff. So sadly to everyone looking to work here, I’m sorry but I suggest you look somewhere else until this manager is gone she’s a very toxic and childish human being, if only I could post some of the things she’s said. Thank you for reading and listening to what I went through here. Also, think twice before you let someone treat you like an undervalued human or garbage we all have a voice let it speak.“

I stopped by Taco Loco for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. I ordered the street taco, which was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, but the highlight was when the chef personally came over to offer me a sample of their beef rib taco. The tenderness and rich flavor of the beef rib was exceptional, making it a must-try! The food quality was top-notch, and the prices were very reasonable. However, what truly stood out was the friendly and attentive service. A fantastic spot for delicious tacos with a warm, welcoming vibe. Highly recommended!“

“Our favorite Mexican restaurant to eat at when we are in town. Have been going here for over 30 years!! The village combination never disappoints..the cheese enchilada was so cheesy, the tacos perfectly cooked and filled, the tostada crispy and piled with the perfect amount of beans, lettuce and cheese, the chicken flauta cooked to perfection...always get extra sour cream and a side order of sliced jalapeños to toss on top.. The "hot" salsa was absolutely delicious.“

“Never having had Qdoba before, this was an amazing experience, it was very much like fine dining. Greeted, and given a personalized tour of how the menu works and the pricing. The staff is so polite and friendly. We even had fun conversation as the food was being made. The food is great quality as well.
