“Hands-down, some of the best bbq, you can get in Metro-Detroit. I know many people would disagree with me, but I like it better than Slow’s or the Woodshop, any day. City BBQ’s meat is consistently better, more flavorful, the sauces offered are interesting (love the green chile!), and the staff is always kind. City BBQ is also significantly cheaper than the other afore-mentioned bbq joints. If you live in Metro-Detroit, go try it! It’s SO good!“

So you might be standing in line for 30 minutes with 15 other people, get up there to order and whatever you wanted is sold out. If there's huge line, i don't even bother anymore. Ordered the crispy pork and roasted duck. I would imagine that eating while everything’s hot would be so much better, but the pork was a little dry with skins that weren’t crispy; however, the duck even when cold was delicious. Usually the ducks I’ve had in Chinese BBQ can be very salty, but this one was a good balance of sweet savory combination. It was tender and fatty, and the skin has a good flavor to it too. Definitely would recommend the roasted duck.“

I was determined to sample something else on their menu tonight and while the hubs was figuring out what he wanted, I started to read the reviews and was a bit shocked with a few of them. I too, have a lot of restaurant work in my background and so I paid extra attention tonight. I'm happy to report that my take out experience this evening has been stellar! My call in was handled well and without issue and was ready when I went to pick it up. I only live 5 min away (if that) and the food was really warm, well packaged and delicious. Portions are generous as far as I'm concerned-these Corktown Fries are enough for two and the they don't skimp on the portions of crisp either. I am really glad I've finally been able to get to this place and I'm sure they're on my 'go-to' list from now on.“

The duck was fantastic and comes with a nice sauce on the side. It was about $20 for half a duck. Looking forward to trying so more things they offer. “A tmi review but genuinely the service was amazing. Worst day i had, ordered a small cheese with pepperoni pizza with cajun crust (very good, gently crisp crusts and just enough cajun so 10/10) and a 2L of soda through Uber Eats, Didnt get the soda i wanted , they were out & i guess the uber guy disregarded my note on what to replace it with. I called, even though slightly tense (sorry) the guy was super kind over phone, apparently this Happys Pizza is closer than i thought so i walked to get it replaced and still was super kind, even offered a pie slice. On the verge of tears on xmas eve with the worst day but the service was so kind, and the pizza was good and good service needs to be acknowledged and appreciated so 10/10.“

“Brittany is always amazing. No matter how busy she is she keeps cool calm and collected. I don't know how she does it! She handles the phones the drivers that walking customers all of it and always knows what's going on at any given time period not only can she manage like a champ, she can make a hole of a pizza period plus she always knows what I want when I come in. I was adventurous yesterday and had some wings and she made them for me and they were incredible.I'll be adding them to my go to regular order. She is just the very best, Really understands?Customer service always has a smile on her face.You would never know if she was dealing with 6 murders a pizza oven on fire and a sinkhole in the parking lot.You'd never know it.She'd handle it. Ok that's extreme but I have faith in her she can literally do anything. And always with a smile. And my orders are always perfect!! Everyone tip this woman heavy. She deserves it!! Vegetarian options: I always get a large pizza with veggies even though I am not vegetarian or region, but in this case I just happen to like pineapple, mushrooms and green peppers and it's awesome very single time period that's all I can really speak to but I know they'll accommodate you, Whatever dietary restrictions you have , I am sure Brittany will take the best care of you and make sure you get exactly what you want

Parking: Strip center tons of spots I alway pull up right at the store at front door most of the time. Of course my time of visit probably has something to do with that.. (LATE NIGHT)

Kid-friendliness: I'm sure they welcome kids, Not many tables for sit down.But if you want to eat there, I'm sure your kid would like it period I've seen children there a couple times but again, there's only like 1 or 2 tables.I always take my stuff to go“

“Theirs not to many places around the city that offer a good, hardy and delicious New Orlean style seafood gumbo but, I happened to be driving around on the westside and was hungry and decided to give a new place I'd heard about from a friend. The spot is called "Dem Noles Bois"...It's been awhile since I had a good gumbo. I've got to tell you, to my surprise, this was the best gumbo that I’ve had in years definitely five stars. I definitely will be back again...I want to try the BBQ Ribs, the fried chicken wings, and for sure, the fried shrimp dinner. P.s., the Banana Pudding was on point“
