“I was working on a job and was utilizing their lot unknowingly. The daughter came out and asked if I was okay. After everything was cleared up, I asked if they make personal pizzas, which they do. I went inside to pay for it, and “pops” as I see people refer him as, paid for my food. That was a very kind gesture of kindness. The next time I have a job in the area, I’ll be back! The pizza was great!“

“This place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and truly service-oriented. We ordered the 3-meat sampler with sliced brisket, chopped brisket, and jalapeño sausage, and let me tell you—the sliced brisket, ordered moist, was hands-down the BEST I’ve ever had! I’d order it a thousand times over. While the chopped brisket came with sauce that we weren’t expecting, it was still fine.

The sides were just as impressive: the fries were crispy, the baked beans were perfectly seasoned, the sweet potato mash was out of this world, and the mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. We topped it all off with the caramel apple cobbler, and wow—it was BOMB. So incredibly good!

“I had such a great first experience at House Of Barbecue tonight! I have been wanting to stop by for so long, and I’m so happy I finally did. We had the pulled pork sandwiches with mac & cheese, street corn, corn bread (topped with delicious melted butter) and can’t forget the Faygo. Everything about the experience was so great, the welcoming staff, spacious outdoor patio and our amazing waiter Omar. Omar went above and beyond for us, he checked on us many times with a smile, he informed us of the specials, dessert options, that everything was homemade and even cracked a few jokes. I will definitely be coming back to try their other items, it all sounded amazing. From lamb, to crab cakes they’ve got it all. Everything is homemade and fresh, which is hard to find at restaurants nowadays. It was like a fine dining but felt warm and comforting. I would imagine that eating while everything’s hot would be so much better, but the pork was a little dry with skins that weren’t crispy; however, the duck even when cold was delicious. Usually the ducks I’ve had in Chinese BBQ can be very salty, but this one was a good balance of sweet savory combination. It was tender and fatty, and the skin has a good flavor to it too. Definitely would recommend the roasted duck.“

The food is incredible-- the fresh spring rolls were chock full of crispy veggies, plus a nice bit of chicken (optional). The drunken noodles are very complex with a nice, subtle heat. And the red curry? I have always had mixed feelings about curries... but not this one. I absolutely love it, great heat, and the shrimp option was perfect, but I am sure going straight veggie would be fantastic as well. We can't wait to try it again!“

I was determined to sample something else on their menu tonight and while the hubs was figuring out what he wanted, I started to read the reviews and was a bit shocked with a few of them. I too, have a lot of restaurant work in my background and so I paid extra attention tonight. I'm happy to report that my take out experience this evening has been stellar! My call in was handled well and without issue and was ready when I went to pick it up. I only live 5 min away (if that) and the food was really warm, well packaged and delicious. Portions are generous as far as I'm concerned-these Corktown Fries are enough for two and the they don't skimp on the portions of crisp either. I am really glad I've finally been able to get to this place and I'm sure they're on my 'go-to' list from now on.“

First I would say they are very nice/friendly people and gave me a hand getting things started with the tire. I ended up grabbing wings, rib tips and mac and cheese after the tire was fixed.
