50 Best Barbeque Restaurants near Southfield

“The food here is great. This was our 1st time here. We were here all the way from Wisconsin for an event and i asked who got the best soul food in town and was told to stop by Cornbread. Amazing food, and service, and the place was clean. The Staff went above the call of duty. Ms. Donya if you see this, you are a JEWEL! This lady was right on time with everything. We visited the restaurant on Friday upon arrival to Michigan and was the first customers on Sunday 11:30AM as we were leaving from Michigan to return home. Go here, you will not be disappointed. The PRICE IS RIGHT.....and the Staff is BRIGHT!“

“I stopped in I wanted some food. I decided to check out the Nikola’s. Food was delicious very tasty well cooked. I enjoyed my meal and was so full that I could not even eat my dessert. I will come back again and try the barbecue ribs they looked good.“

“Sweet husband took me for my birthday! Great food! Decent service- Did not mention on menu or from server that tip would be automatically billed in. Would have liked to known at the beginning before ordering, just common courtesy. Idk if anyone else dealt with this. DELICIOUS DELICIOUS FOOD THO“

“One of my absolute favorite places! My husband and I are obsessed. Can’t go wrong with any dish— all delicious! Especially the wings of course.

“First time customers (7/12/2025). We needed to find a new BBQ place to satisfy our taste buds since SHEETZ is taking over 12 & Mound. WE FOUND IT. Ordered the Judges' sampler to try their variety. Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Chicken, Baked Beans and Hush Puppies are ALL EXCELLENT. The Coleslaw could have been a bit creamer, but we didn't come here for veggies or salad. Loved their sauces as well. We will definitely be back and bringing friends.“

“Big thanks to Adam, Brenda Jean, Ely and Molly for making my 55th birthday celebration so fun. Everyone had a great time.“

“My food was on fire when I got it and it was excellent I really enjoyed it !!!“

“We really enjoy your food and have been coming here often because it's so delicious.
However, we've recently noticed a strong ammonia-like smell inside the restaurant from portable cooler??, and it's been quite unpleasant. We would really appreciate it if you could look into it and see if there's anything that can be done.“

“Even better!!! taste like real Pizza!!!“

“The food was amazing, great prices he most definitely takes pride in his cooking. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Great food awesome people“

“Dude's BBQ is sick. He hooks it up with extra sides too. However, it's first come, first serve. So you might be standing in line for 30 minutes with 15 other people, get up there to order and whatever you wanted is sold out. If there's huge line, i don't even bother anymore. It's only open like one day a week now, maybe two if you're lucky lol.“

“The BEST! Well done, J Birds! I ordered for a group after a big holiday, and they nailed it. After speaking with the kitchen manager about my party plans for 40 peeps, J Birds crushed it. Thanks for the awesome food, excellent leftovers and wonderful service. A+.“

“I love getting the crispy pork from here it's very tasty and savory, the duck is also a very good choice, I usually get at least a pound of the pork (the cut it fresh for you) and at least half a duck, sometimes a whole duck. Perfect to share with multiple people.“

“One of the best Roast Duck, Roast Pig spot here in Madison Heights. I drive from Lansing just to come pick up roast duck or both when I really wants some or when I'm in the area I always stop by.
They also sell other meat there including cuttlefish, pig ears etc. its a small spot only for pick up and go. Price went up like everything else but cheaper then the one in Grand Rapid. I highly recommend. They only take cash.“

“This spot is the deal went yesterday n came back to food is good seasoning is on point the greens is fire the bake beans better 😘“

“The BBQ wings are so good! A bit dry but the seasoning definitely makes up for it. The sides are bomb too, great Mac and cheese, yams, and baked beans. The greens are flavorful but a tad bit on the salty side. The banana pudding is delicious too. Definitely going back!“

“OMG!! Just went to wedding that they catered……all I have to say is don’t wait another minute. If you’re looking for delicious BBQ give these guys a try. It was ALL delicious. The meat, the beans, everything!! You will not be disappointed.“

“Good beef ribs great brisket and then he has ox tails, sometimes he does turkey, salmon and different cuts of beef and lamb, not cheap but mostly worth the money“

“I dined in for the first time a little over a week ago and loved my Cuban! I was determined to sample something else on their menu tonight and while the hubs was figuring out what he wanted, I started to read the reviews and was a bit shocked with a few of them. I too, have a lot of restaurant work in my background and so I paid extra attention tonight. I'm happy to report that my take out experience this evening has been stellar! My call in was handled well and without issue and was ready when I went to pick it up. I only live 5 min away (if that) and the food was really warm, well packaged and delicious. Portions are generous as far as I'm concerned-these Corktown Fries are enough for two and the they don't skimp on the portions of crisp either. I am really glad I've finally been able to get to this place and I'm sure they're on my 'go-to' list from now on.“

“Hi, this is the only Pakistani food which he made fresh every day I love this restaurant food is awesome and the Pakistani chef Jahanzaib he is very polite and very good to us“

“We just enjoyed a carry out holiday lunch from Famous Chicken in Farmington Hills! Thank you for delicious chicken, mouth watering ribs, salad, potato wedges and rolls. Everything was very good! I had read on other reviews that the rolls were underwhelming but they were soft and tasty. Will order again!!“

“garlic parmesan wing dings wear excellent and the price was even better“

“Excuse my messy picture but food was that goddamn good that I had already started eating it before I couldn’t even get the phone out and I’m not exaggerating them damn red beans or rice 10 out of 10 this barbecue cheeseburger 9.9 it was still hot and juicy when I got home 30 minutes later beef ribs 9.8 out of10 the red beans and rice nothing to play with“

“I grew up in the neighborhood where this is located. The food is superb, especially the fried chicken. Excellent subs & pizza too. One of my new favorite carry out places

Parking: You must back in for street parking along 9 Mile Rd.“

“Had a great experience at Happy’s Pizza! The food was fresh, hot, and tasted amazing. Everything we ordered was really good, and the service made the experience even better. “Mark and his team catered our grad party and it was amazing. Everyone kept asking where we got the ribs and wings from. Mark was fantastic to work with. He called the day of the party and the day after the party. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. Our guests couldn't get enough of the sauces. I never saw a party where everyone had thirds. I'm so glad I went with Mark and Happy Pizza. I would highly recommend it to anyone.“

“This is the best pizza ve found so far. Cooked to perfection, staff was fny and had everything out before they said it would and it was cooked, sauced, and topped perfectly. Thank you for giving me a great pizza. We ate it too fast before I could get a picture. Thank you again“

“My father and I went in today for the 5 year celebration and our server Tajma was amazing. She knew the beers like the back of her hand and we had a great conversation about local breweries and beers we are huge fans of! Keep up the great work. Also the wings were phenomenal honey sirracha delicious, and the platter had so much amazing stuff we had to take a lot home! We will be back.“

“I’ve been eating at this establishment for about 25 years. Great food great service I highly recommend it.“

“Papa’s Pizza is more than just a pizza place — they have a great selection of food for everyone. Of course, the pizza is tasty, but they also offer chicken, ribs, shrimp, lasagna, and much more.

The menu is big, so it’s easy to find something you’ll like.“

“Great pricing, great food, and fast delivery. Will be using them again! Thank you guys!!“

“All the way from Indy we love y’all! I’ve visited plenty of times and brought one of my daughters this time! She agrees this menu beats all the bbq in Indy. She especially enjoyed the staff! She will be back for the ribs mac n cheese yams and greens and to try something else on the menu! Thank you“

“Down here for a doctors appointment tomorrow morning, staying at the guest house at Henry Ford Hospital, we were looking for a pizza place we don’t have up in the U.P., the delivery driver was very kind, and was delivered very fast! Food was delicious!“

“A tmi review but genuinely the service was amazing. Worst day i had, ordered a small cheese with pepperoni pizza with cajun crust (very good, gently crisp crusts and just enough cajun so 10/10) and a 2L of soda through Uber Eats, Didnt get the soda i wanted , they were out & i guess the uber guy disregarded my note on what to replace it with. I called, even though slightly tense (sorry) the guy was super kind over phone, apparently this Happys Pizza is closer than i thought so i walked to get it replaced and still was super kind, even offered a pie slice. On the verge of tears on xmas eve with the worst day but the service was so kind, and the pizza was good and good service needs to be acknowledged and appreciated so 10/10.“

“"I LOVE JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING EVEN THOUGH I'M TRYING TO WATCH WHAT I EAT & LOOSE SOME WEIGHT @ THE SAME TIME!!“

“Theirs not to many places around the city that offer a good, hardy and delicious New Orlean style seafood gumbo but, I happened to be driving around on the westside and was hungry and decided to give a new place I'd heard about from a friend. The spot is called "Dem Noles Bois"...It's been awhile since I had a good gumbo. I've got to tell you, to my surprise, this was the best gumbo that I’ve had in years definitely five stars. I definitely will be back again...I want to try the BBQ Ribs, the fried chicken wings, and for sure, the fried shrimp dinner. P.s., the Banana Pudding was on point“

“my mother has went here since the age of 16. she is now 53 and it's the best rib sauce ever“

“The food was damn good and well worth the price I will be checking this place out again the ghetto Burger was good it really didn't stand out from any other Burger but it was still good the cheesecake dessert was the only thing I did not like and honestly it didn't even taste like cheesecake was more like Frozen cake so I'll pass on the dessert but everything else that I had was damn good.“

“First time at this location I love they pizza I was glad to know they follow the recipe 😋 😂 And the young lady that took my order was very polite and hard working she was cleaning and taking orders at the same time. 💯💪“

“The portions are generous, prices are more than fair, and the staff were very friendly and professional. Most importantly, this is the cleanest restaurant and bathroom that I’ve ever been to!!! My family and I will definitely be returning!!!“

“Oh my goodness, the food was absolutely delicious! I especially adored the bread they gave me while I was waiting for my order; it was so good and tasted like it was just freshly baked. The meat was fantastic too; I had the flo’s filet medium well (I’d suggest asking for a bit more medium next time) and the sides are great specially the mac and cheese“

“I’ve honestly never had a bad experience with this location! 😊 Every time I order from here, the food is consistently great. The pizza 🍕 is always fresh and flavorful, the calzones are perfectly cooked, and the salads 🥗 are crisp and delicious. No matter what I choose, everything is always prepared really well.
One thing I really appreciate is that my food always arrives hot, almost like I picked it up directly from the restaurant. 🔥 That level of consistency really keeps me coming back. The service has also been reliable every single time I’ve ordered.
I always make sure to tip the drivers well — sometimes on my card and sometimes in cash 💵 — because the service deserves it. I’ve literally never had any issues with this location, which is rare these days. Because of that, I can confidently say I’m a loyal customer and will definitely keep ordering from here! 😋👏“
