“The food here is great. This was our 1st time here. We were here all the way from Wisconsin for an event and i asked who got the best soul food in town and was told to stop by Cornbread. Amazing food, and service, and the place was clean. The Staff went above the call of duty. Ms. Donya if you see this, you are a JEWEL! This lady was right on time with everything. We visited the restaurant on Friday upon arrival to Michigan and was the first customers on Sunday 11:30AM as we were leaving from Michigan to return home. Go here, you will not be disappointed. The PRICE IS RIGHT.....and the Staff is BRIGHT!“

“We decided to have our ladies night at taste of Ethiopia as none of our party had tasted Ethiopian food before. We order different levels of spicy lamb, beef and chicken. The level of spice was great.The food was seasoned really good.The vegetables were good as well and I don't even regularly like cabbage.I tried the cabbage and carrots. I enjoy the entire experience no complaints.“

“I stopped in I wanted some food. I decided to check out the Nikola’s. Food was delicious very tasty well cooked. I enjoyed my meal and was so full that I could not even eat my dessert. I will come back again and try the barbecue ribs they looked good.“

“I only had a sandwich and some mozzarella sticks but those were good and other people seemed happy with their meals - but mostly here to say the atmosphere / service at this place is unmatched. Amy & Heather who I got the opportunity to have as bartenders and servers both times I came (and they’re sisters! How fun) both went beyond the call of normal service. This place was the closest nearby spot to an emergency vet I took my dog to after an attack. I was obviously a bit solemn when I came in the first time for lunch and immediately they asked me if I was okay and both came around the bar to hug me when tears started welling and listened to my story and showed so much care and compassion for my poor doggy. When I came back a week later they recognized me IMMEDIATELY and asked how my boy was doing and were overjoyed when I said he’s healing well and getting stitched up today. I also wanted to come back to get their names just so I could be sure to mention them by name in a review because they certainly deserve it. Outside of that, clearly they (and the rest of the staff here) have compassion and familiarity with mostly everyone who walked in the door. They impressively remembered names, usual orders, and asked specific questions about peoples’ lives (and I was sitting at the bar for a long time while I waited for my dog both times and got to witness LOTS of interactions) - all were overwhelmingly positive. I love love LOVE this place. I live in Detroit and rarely come to the suburbs unless I need to - but I might have to start making Mr. Joe’s a regular stop ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Hidden Gem!! I came to this restaurant with my mom. We drove in from Indiana and were super hungry but weren’t sure where to go. We decided to try this spot and I’m so glad we did. First, our waiter Sabra was amazing. So kind and everything she recommended was delicious! We ordered the fish and chips, tavern burger, wild mushroom and farro pilaf, mango, pineapple and mint juice and the bread pudding which was SENSATIONAL. We came as soon as they opened so there wasn’t a wait but even if there was it would’ve been worth it. 10/10 recommend“

The staff at Red Olive writes each associate's name on the food lid and even wrap individual condiments with plastic and put their names on them. The attention to detail and quality of service is phenomenal. The food is delicious as well with plenty of options for staff to choose from. In the this day and age, I appreciate good customer service even though we are not dining in. One day I hope to visit your establishment in person. Great job Red Olive Southfield. Ordered their Pad Thai, when it was served, I saw beef cooked in Pad Thai sauce on top of pre-cooked noodles, was a bit wondering when I have my first bite, but you know what, it tasted pretty good, though without the heat of stir fried, but it has its own unique taste in the good way.“

“This is my favorite restaurant. This was my go to spot when I lived in the area and was pretty bummed when I moved away. A year later I found myself back in town and the food is still excellent, staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and cozy.“

“I was here about 6 years ago and haven't been back until today. I'm so glad I came here. The customer service was wonderful and whoever was frying the chicken today fried it perfectly! The ambiance is family friendly. Although you can eat inside, most are carryout orders. I REALLY enjoyed my food today.“
