“I got a take out from here on July 25, 2026. Being from the old school TBQ era I used to go there once a week for decades so I know what the experience should be like. I ordered the full strip for one and a piece of black forest cake and also a piece of cherry cheesecake. When I got home I was excited cause TBQ sure is missed and I had not been to Canada in over a decade and love good ribs.

The ribs were very good, moist and meaty just the way I remembered them from TBQ but they were just a little bland. Tommy's does not use as much spice as TBQ used to. Not sure if this is a one off or if that is how Tommy's does it?

The coleslaw is totally different than I remember it. The slaw from TBQ was so good I can remember drinking the juice at the bottom of the bowel that's how good it was. The coleslaw at Tommy's was decent but they dont use the mint or parsley that TBQ did in the slaw.

The desert's were the same. No complaints there that's for sure. I also bought a bottle of all purpose spice and sweet sauce and they were great as well. IMHO if they throw a little more spice on the ribs and tweak the coleslaw a little they could easily go from a 4 rating to a 5 with no problem.

The fact is I used to make it a point to go to TBQ back in the day but with Tommy's if I were in the area I would stop in but probably would not go there unless I was in the area. However there are no more BBQ places that still makes rotisserie ribs except for Tommy's and Champs rotisserie in Grosse Pointe Michigan. If I had to pick between the two it would be Tommy's. Give it a try and I am sure you will like it.“

“Haven't been in a while since I moved out the neighborhood. But food was always great, service above reproach, prices were reasonable and great menu selections. Owners and staff were always friendly and appreciative. I could go for a full slab rib dinner or smothered pork chop dinner. With collard greens, Mac n cheese, cornbread and a large kool-aid mixed.“

“My friend and I had lunch at Coriander Kitchen and Farm yesterday 6/23. We came back because we enjoyed our first visit last year so much! However, at this visit the food was not so good. I ordered fish and chips and my fish was overcooked and the french fries were not hot. My friend ordered smelt which were awful and greasy which we sent back. We asked for lemon which never came to the table and our waiter seem to be the only one there and they were busy so I don't think we got the attention that we were due. I know this establishment can do better, so I will be going back. But yesterday's service and food were awful.“

Walking in you notice how delicious everything smells, how clean everything is and how friendly everyone who works here is. The food is top notch. The breadding on the catfish fritters made my mouth water, the greens made me want to write home, the mac and cheese was perfectly cooked and the meatloaf was so tender and tasty. Then the dessert! Peach cobbler that made me make obscene noises, the creamy vanilla scoop and the amazing red pop sorbet were bursting with flavorful perfection. I highly recommend going here and trying everything.“

Worst day i had, ordered a small cheese with pepperoni pizza with cajun crust (very good, gently crisp crusts and just enough cajun so 10/10) and a 2L of soda through Uber Eats, Didnt get the soda i wanted , they were out & i guess the uber guy disregarded my note on what to replace it with. I called, even though slightly tense (sorry) the guy was super kind over phone, apparently this Happys Pizza is closer than i thought so i walked to get it replaced and still was super kind, even offered a pie slice. On the verge of tears on xmas eve with the worst day but the service was so kind, and the pizza was good and good service needs to be acknowledged and appreciated so 10/10.“

The calzone was flavorful, juicy and very very close to the calzone I ate at least once a week from hungry howies before they discontinued it . It was full of content and not hollow at all . “I was a 1st timer walking in. I had my mind and spirit on some REAL down south type of BBQ..I came across this place. When I walked in there was an old school gentleman whom just received his take out. I asked him was this his first time as well and he said noooooo he been coming for over 10yrs!! He suggested the ribs and potatoe salad. Now I'm VERY skeptical when it comes to people potato salad..but let me tell you..THEE BEST POTATO SALAD from a restaurant!! And them dog gone RIBS so tender and flavorful!! You can taste the real grill smoked taste..and the sauce is AMAZING!!! I will be back TODAY I had told my Mom about Nunn's and I'm bringing her here. I highly recommend this restaurant the owner who’s also the server was amazing her daughter(about 8) was her helper and it was amazing. The food was ideally seasoned and you get the feel of the “D” with this experience. The menu was also well priced and the meal size was great. The plantain rum dip was to die for. Not to mention, proper social distancing efforts, available hand sanitizer and for you smokers... ashtray and ability to do so. I loved it and enjoyed myself. Looking forward to my next Detroit visit where I visit the Alley Deck.“

“Theirs not to many places around the city that offer a good, hardy and delicious New Orlean style seafood gumbo but, I happened to be driving around on the westside and was hungry and decided to give a new place I'd heard about from a friend. The spot is called "Dem Noles Bois"...It's been awhile since I had a good gumbo. I've got to tell you, to my surprise, this was the best gumbo that I’ve had in years definitely five stars. The pizza 🍕 is always fresh and flavorful, the calzones are perfectly cooked, and the salads 🥗 are crisp and delicious. No matter what I choose, everything is always prepared really well.
One thing I really appreciate is that my food always arrives hot, almost like I picked it up directly from the restaurant. 🔥 That level of consistency really keeps me coming back. The service has also been reliable every single time I’ve ordered.

“It's better than Hungry Howies in terms of service and flavor. I purchased the 2 for 9.99, and ordered 2 large 1 toppings pizzas. It was ready when we arrived. I've also ordered for delivery before and didn't have any problems. The sauce is a little sweet, thats why it wasn't 5 stars.

Update: If you order the salad, make sure they pack everything separately, because it seems like the lettuce may be kept in water. I ordered a salad which was perfect on the first day, but completely soggy by the second day. Thankfully, I had lettuce in the fridge, so I was able salvage most of the salad fixings. Also, make sure you can share the salad because it is rather large for one person.“
