“I enjoyed lunch yesterday at Village Baker. I went with the half sand and cup of soup combo. I had mushroom barley soup with my grilled tuna sand. Both were heavenly. A side of fries and a pickle was included. You get to choose your side. Pro tip: I was by myself and so I did not have to wait 'cause I ate at the bar. When the bill came the bartender gave me $ 5 off as a first timer! So I gave her back the $5 as her well-deserved tip. I also bought a loaf of very fresh sourdough bread and two breakfast cookies. This is my new "happy place" and I am looking forward to returning soon for another great experience.“

“Norm's Ice Cream is hands down one of those places you keep coming back to. Yesterday was our first visit of the year, and it did not disappoint. As always the portions are huge, the ice cream is rich and creamy, and they’ve got a great variety of flavors to choose from.

I especially love that they serve Hudsonville Ice Cream, you really can’t go wrong with it. Whether you’re going classic or trying something new, it’s always on point.

The staff is friendly and moves quick even when there’s a line, which is a huge plus. Prices are more than fair for what you get, and they definitely don’t skimp on scoops.

The cheesy mushroom poutine was also really good but I wasn’t a fan of the fries. It tasted like they hadn’t been fried properly, a bit hollow inside and stale tasting. “today me and my fiance got toast and jams take out for breakfast. we wanted one of those stay in your pajamas eat breakfast in bed type of days. the only thing that could have made it better is if they did delivery but I was fine picking it up because then I got to order a drink when I was there. I didn't see any drinks to order on the website but I might have just missed that completely that could be my fault but I was happy I went inside cuz I could get it to go coffee. haven't been in to toast and jams in quite some time but I was very impressed. it was super cute inside. I definitely want to go back and eat inside it was so adorable in there and a little area that they have to order drinks at off to the side is super cute. when I walked into toast and jams there was nobody at the door to greet me which was fine and that kind of looked around and was trying to figure out where to go to pick up my order. so I was walking around a little lost and the nicest server came up to me to put me in the right direction I believe she said her name was Miko. younger girl real cute had a hat on short hair shortish darker skin very pretty. anyways the server was such a joy. she stopped the work that she was doing to come up to me and point me in the right direction asked me if I needed help or needed to be set. told her I was picking up a to go order she pointed me in the right direction said she had to go check on a table but she would be back in a minute to make sure that I had everything I needed. I don't really think that was her job to be working the door I think she works the tables but I appreciate her taking her time out of her day to approach me and she was so polite and friendly I'll definitely come back in to eat and ask to sit in her section. food was amazing kitchen did a wonderful job I eat at a lot of breakfast places and this was really top notch good job kitchen. all around good experience I'll be back“

“My hubby & I are fans as it is, but tonight we were very impressed. The GH location was on Fox news, and as you would expect, the place was swamped! (We did go to Ferrysburg though.). Anyway, the young man in charge as well as 3 teen girls were so awesome! They were happy & hustling! It was refreshing to see young people working hard and working so well together! Plus of course, we loved our shaved ices!“

“Great spot. Obviously when you’re traveling in this area you hope to eat somewhere local and more “legit”, but everything was closed in this area for dining by 9pm (insane for a holiday weekend). I’m so grateful this place was open late. The deal of 2 entrees and an app for $25 is a STEAL in this economy. We got the ribs and loaded mashed potatoes, fiesta lime chicken and spinach artichoke dip. Everything was delicious. I could totally see myself making the lime chicken at home for some tacos or enchiladas. So flavorful. They had the Michigan and western game on as well but it wasn’t overly loud or anything. “Was very loud in there too loud for us they sat us in the bar late night. Prefer a much quieter scene but this was what was open. Food took forever to come out. It was decent once it arrived. Waitress was kind of slow refilling drinks and checking on us. Apps should have came out a lot quicker and also the entire meal. We had the ribs they were ok. The rest was apps for the most part and a steak. But if you want steak this is not the place to get it unless you like well done cook. Recommend somewhere else unless this is your only choice.“
