“This is a nice place to eat breakfast and lunch. It's good homestyle food from a "mom and pop" type place. My favorite thing about this place is they grind their coffee beans right there for the freshest coffee. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long during busy times which its uncommon, but when it is a long wait it's not to bad. I believe the owner works with the staff. The staff are nice and are nice to converse with. Overall, I'd eat there more frequently if I had the opportunity.“
“We were sat immediately which was awesome for a busy Friday night. Waited awhile before a waitress came by, but I think she was spread thin. The food and drinks came fairly quickly, the ambiance was nice. The quality of food was ok, portions were ok, the sad part was the quality of the silverware was awful! Total school cafeteria quality. The butter knife in our rolled napkin set was sharper than the steak knife. You have a nice place, nice food, please upgrade your silverware!“
“Stopped in to try the St. Patrick's Day menu. Went with the burger with the corned beef added onto it. (Sorry, I can't recall the name of it!) In a word - awesome!! And the mint mousse dessert "for two" was big enough for, at least, three! Also incredible!! Service was amazing, too, from the bartender! Loved everything about it!!“
“Just stopped in to have a Bloody Mary it was yummy but spicy. The bartender she was such a sweetheart. Thank you, Turk's Tavern that was the first time I ever came here and I will return.Parking: It's a small restaurant with limited parking. This place gets extremely busy.“
“Husband & I stopped in for a bite. Jack our waiter was awesome. I’m a type 1 diabetic and was having a low . My husband went to ask him for some apple juice cause of my situation. And he came right out with it . Very polite nice young man. Thank you Jack ??“
“My wife and i went in today and had lunch. We have been there many times and can’t get enough. As a chef and foodie myself i am always impressed with their offerings. We actually drove 7 hours (from Des Moines Iowa) to eat here. I don’t see what these 1 and 2 star people are talking about. Definitely a must try, support local and Eat local.Vegetarian options: Mushroom tacos, curry vegetables tacos and seasonal vegan burrito is my wife’s favorite and they have falafel tacos ???“
“Arrived 11am on a monday and the place was a bustling. The dining area is definitely on the small side but people understand this and don't diddle daddle.I only waited 2 minutes for a seat at the counter (7 stools). Wait staff is of the teamwork type. Everyone helps and is happy to be helpful.I ordered an Irish Omelette, with white toast, and a side order 1/2 biscuits and gravy. Food was ample size for price and cooked VERY well (great, exceptional)!Tasted amazing too!I requested a water and a diet coke. Cold and refreshing.Only 1 table that can hold 7 or squeeze in 8. But lots of tables that can squeeze 5. Space is the only possible gripe about this restaurant.Herbie's is everything you want in a small diner that is open until 2pm.Great food, price, service (Kathy was also exceptional), and atmosphere!!!Herbie's should be your next stop in Muskegon for breakfast/lunch!Bravo,Busta-RandallParking: Empty building next door allows overflow.Kid-friendliness: Lots of elderly to oooh and ahhh at them.Wheelchair accessibility: Tight but doable for all but the largest mobile chairs.“
“Visited for the first time and it was AMAZING. I wanted to try as many of the soups as possible so the server suggested I do a trilogy of soups. It's basically three soups to try. I tried the cheese, the gumbo, and their signature onion. All of them were amazing. Especially the French onion. For appetizer, I ordered the carpaccio, the Fried goat cheese, and the spinach and artichoke dip. They were all very good. After all these appetizers we were pretty full, but I still wanted to try an entrée. I decided to go with the wedge salad and add steak to it. The steak was done to perfection and the wedge salad was cut perfectly so it wasn't overwhelming. The server we had was quick, and very attentive. As far as the ambience and the decor, it was very cozy and reminded me a bit of European restaurants where space is tight, but you're not feeling crowded. I would consider the attire of the patrons to be a little more dressier than casual based on what everyone was wearing but definitely did not feel stuffy. I will be going back because they have several more items on the menu that I want to try.“
“My favorite breakfast place! All their dishes are delicious. Only downfall would be that it’s a bit pricey.Kid-friendliness: We went on my granddaughters birthday and had breakfast and they gave her a free sundae for her birthday! Made her day!“
“Classic Grand Haven Spot with good food and speedy service! We started with the Rangoon Appetizer which I'd definitely get again! These are not your typical mass produced Rangoons. They are special. For our dinners we got an Olive Burger and and a Perch Basket like any good West Michiganders. My wife is something of an Olive Burger expert and said it's a perfectly respectable effort and it gets the job done. She loved their ranch dressing. My perch basket was crispy and tasty with a nice light coating on the fish.Solid selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and downtown without being too downtown. This is a good spot for anybody passing through town to get dinner and drinks in a comfortable setting.“
“The food was very good. Service was excellent. Staff was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. I had breakfast one day and returned the next day for lunch. The cod was delicious and large enough portion to take some home. I will definitely be going back.“
“Absolutely wonderful place! Everything was a 10/10! We had Iggy as our server and he treated us so well! Service, food, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. The spinach and artichoke dip is to die for and the burgers are amazing!!! Also, the music they play is bussin as hell. Another shoutout to our man Iggy, love ya brotha! Not to mention, who wouldn’t go to a restaurant with a bomb name like the paisley mf pig!!!!!!!“
“10 stars for Stanz!! The place with the great food plans!! We stumbled upon this gem after my wife looked them up for a nice place to take the kids!! They had tv's with a fireplace. comfy settings and our personal fav. the bottom of the blue ocean and the staff was so kind and friendly and attentive in every which way possible!! There for a quick bite!! Will be back many times after and this is why we go on adventures!!!! Get in the car!! Sing with the fam!! And grab a bite at one of the coolest cafe's in Grand Haven!!“
“What a great place to eat! There are always great options for various styles of food and fare. The staff are always well prepared and friendly. It's nice to see a locally-owned and operated business that is well-supported and does such a wonderful job. Keep up the great job and we can't wait to go back!“
“I couldn't have asked for a better spot for a first date than Stack's Chicago Style Eats! The cozy atmosphere and mouthwatering aroma set the perfect tone for getting to know each other over delicious deep-dish pizza and hearty Italian beef sandwiches. The attentive service and relaxed ambiance made for a memorable evening, and I can't wait to come back for another date night!“
“The wait to get a table was a little long. When we got to our seats it was a great atmosphere and really gave western vibes. The staff was really nice. The bathroom was spotless. When the dinner came the chicken tenders and fries were the best. Take it from me (a 15 year old) they are the best maby in Michigan and the stake was so good. The fries were good too. Also the prime rib was out of this world. Every thing was so good. There is not need to dress up in fansty clothing. the only down part was the chairs were not that comfortable. But other then that, it is definitely one of the best restaurants in Michigan. Take it from me.“
“The food was quite tasty, especially the deep fried mushrooms. The service was good and the waitresses took good care of us. They were nice and friendly. There's plenty of parking. It's a "homely feeling" place. The price was ok as well. It was quite packed and busy when we went but that's to be expected at noon during the lunch hour, though it didn't last long.“
“Pine Street Cafe went over and above for my grandson ! He wanted a Cinnamon roll from Pine Street for his Birthday! They wrote Happy Birthday on the boxes and even gave me a candle as you can see by the pictures it definitely made his day❤️ Thank you PINE STREET CAFE ! You are the “
“We are always seated in a timely manner, the wait staff is excellent, and our food was amazing! It’s one of our family favorites!Kid-friendliness: My son loves going to Applebee’s! He is three years old and they always have patience and treat him with kindness!“
“So my buddy and I grabbed lunch at Sporty’s Bar and it was good. Living here for almost 50 years I had not been here before but knowing that Jim is managing/owner now I wanted to try it out. We had burgers, fries, and ice cold beers. Although they can’t cook the burger to order (I like medium rare), the burger was still juicy and not overcooked. Atmosphere was very nice, not what I expected. Cool bar and clean. Bartender was great too and other diners were pleasant.“
“Love G&L's chili dogs and fries!!! I used to go to the Holland location, which is closer to where I live, and was really upset that location was closed - it was a go-to spot for my husband and me. Anytime I'm in Muskegon I go to G&L and get my chili dog combo fix! :)“
“What an unassuming place. From the outside, you would think it might be sketchy or scary inside. Like run down. Instead, you go inside and there is well lit and modern looking bar to an old-timey place. There's a wrap around bar. There's table seating. I've seen regulars and families in there. A juke box. Atm. Pool table. Video game machine. And fun signs on the walls. They have pub fare, good food. The wait staff has been great every time I've gone in. I really enjoyed meeting Amber on my last visit. I think it's a fun, affordable and inviting place to have meal and drinks. Totally casual. No dress code, other than wear clothes and footwear...lol It's almost five stars. But I give it four plus stars. Come check this place out! Cheers, Xiang“
“Gotta agree with Nicole Boguslawski's review: the place seriously has a vibe.Frankly, it's like taking a step into the past, for better or for worse. The place's history definitely supports that; having been a capstone of that areas local community for decades. Interesting stuff if you know who to talk to.Beyond that, the staff know their stuff and as down to earth as you could hope for. The salad bar has everything you could want and more from a small town diner-slash-bar-slash-hotel (with adjacent corner store). I haven't tried everything on their menu, but the liver and onions and the biscuits and gravy (two absolute *must-haves* in a good classic restaurant) are really good. Going to have to retry the biscuits soon to see if they still hold up.For research purposes, of course.Parking: Challenging to find parking close to the building because it was historically catering to a small clientele and is currently boxed in by housing and sharing a wider lot with a hotel and convenience store. Parking is generally available within a reasonable distance, though.Wheelchair accessibility: The building's entrances have wheelchair accessible grading, but the entrances are manual and can be difficult to open in inclimate weather.“
“Well, considering my favorite uncle helped build this place, I figured I better leave a review. So imma leave a truthful one. If you stop in for a burger fries milkshake lunch dinner, you will NOT be disappointed. Top notch all the way. I gotta come back and try the onion rings, but I'm sure they are as good as the burger and fries I had today. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.“
“I was just in there with my children. They are VERY kid friendly and had toys and candy for them free. Very friendly staff the I met one of the owners. Very nice guy. I would definitely come here again and recommend this place to anybody. Great prices as well. Great food. Positive enjoyable “
“Waitress/bartender did an awesome job. Considering she was taking care of everyone in the place she didn't miss a beat. The food was ok. The wet burrito was subpar with the sauce tasting exceptionally bad. Tasted like beef broth with an attempt to season it with taco seasoning. The burger was delicious as was the steak fries. The perch was ok. It had bones in it and it was ocean perch, not the delicious lake perch. Price reflects choice of perch but never stated it may contain bones.Atmosphere was as expected. The music bingo was fun and unexpected. We intend to come back to eat and play bingo again. Just won't order a wet burrito or ocean perch again.“
“For a greasy spoon place, the food is fresh and has a great taste. The staff seems to take pride in the way the food comes out. We stop for lunch a lot during the week. The fish is good but the last time I went to get some the closing shift cook gave me less fish than normal or smaller filets and way too many fries. But overall that's the only time ever had any type of complaint.“
“Everything was pretty much as expected. The food was very good, but not outstanding. The service was very good. The food prices were reasonable but alcoholic drinks were quite pricey. If you have two drinks it will likely exceed the cost of your entree. This seems to be a common theme in most restaurants now.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy“
“The turkey and mash were exactly as I expected/hoped for. Not fancy just what it should be.The service was much better thani usually get. Greta was attentive and very nice. I will definitely go back and recommend this place for a good meal and great service.“
“Definitely one of Muskegon’s finest restaurants!! This is not fast food, but it is food that is fast and at a reasonable price. I always recommend to everyone! Try the buffalo fries or the best corn dogs you’ll ever have. Really good chili dogs as well. Also try the delicious milkshakes. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.“
“Another fantastic coffee shop in the Greater Muskegon area. Love their house decaf blended with Traverse City cherry for my half caf cuppa joe.Parking: Parking lot is a bit tight. Location is on a corner and it has a drive on either side of the corner.“
“Always a favorite for my wife and I. The food never disappoints and the German beer is a favorite of mine. Service is always friendly and I honestly all around a great experience every time. I personally love the pork schnitzel and it’s the only thing I’ve actually eaten here and it will always be that way. That being said, I’ve never tried anything else on the menu.“
