“I was a little nervous to order from here, because of some of the negative reviews. I ate at chicken shack a very long time ago at a different location, I give places a chance, so... I ordered online a 15 piece chicken tenders, a tray of potatoes, and a large coleslaw. perfectly cooked and great flavor.Chicken tenders: 3/5 they were seasoned good but a little dry, (I remember their regular bone in chicken was better)coleslaw 0/5. The coleslaw is usually good from what I remember however, it was so sugary! It tasted like someone accidentally added extra sugar, like they forgot they already added it. it's ok mistakes happen. I will come back on another day and order the bucket of chicken instead: )“

“Sept 4th 3PM. I online ordered a chicken sandwich and 2 piece with mashed potatoes and a biscuit. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and a, "Can I help you sir?" from the counter gentleman. Equally warm face smiles from the kitchen area as they confirmed my order verbally and to the screen.

Everyone was professional and my order was perfectly prepared and fresh! Napkins and everything needed to eat were in the bag. This was a 5 star experience for me. I looked for a "Tip Jar" on the counter and seen none. I made no effort to ask because after I got my order, everyone looked busy again. Also because I was lazy and now I feel very guilty:(:(:(

I hope I see the same employees when I return within a few days. I will make it up to them:) My wife has told me for years how great of a location this is. Only today I went myself and Indeed, my wife is correct!

“VESTAVIA HILLS, AL LOCATION: I have been excited to tell yall about this place man (video review coming soon)! I got the chance to go to the grand opening of Dave's Hot Chicken and boy did it live up to the hype! Let's start off with first impressions. The building looks super cool from the outside to the inside. From the dope color skeems to the patterns and art work. Staff was amazing as well. Even though we were in a long line everything moved quickly. Staff was very helpful and whoever that lady manager is was doing her freaking job boy I loved her! Now let's get to some negative before we get to the positive. Something was absolutely wrong with that milkshake machine or the product. It was awful tasting and had a weird stringy like glue consistency. We don't know what it was but we quickly threw them away. We even saw other customers pouring their milkshakes out rinsing the cups and getting soda instead. Hopefully by now they have caught this and fixed the situation. Now the positive. The food itself I don't have anything to say but delicious! The chicken was good and everything went so well with each other. Like man the only thing to me that was just okay was the macaroni and cheese it was just cheese and noodles. It just needed a little salt and pepper and it would have been in there. “Came in today and had the chicken tortilla soup medium and the medium tenders and fries. My kids had the same but instead of soup they got waffles. Everything was amazing and will gladly be back for more. The staff were super friendly and approachable and big ups to front cashier and waitress Mari. Her and the staff brought us this 10/10 experience!! Along with the great food and Store owner Billy!! 20/10“

Edit** I absolutely LOVED Lee's Chicken. The below comment is a joke. A really awful night club/bar used to exist where Lee's now sits.

“Chicken was crispy and juicy. The pineapple drink is A MAZING, You have to try it. The peach mango pie is ? wonderful, do not leave without it. Adobo rice with gravy was so good. OH and the mac and cheese is DELICIOUS! Also the food didn't take long to come out! Definitely have to check them out!“

“10/10 recommend! Such great tasting food!! And you definitely get your moneys worth compared to other fast food places. I had the blazin chicken sandwich. Huge juicy chicken. And the buffalo sauce tasted great!! My fiance got a cheeseburger and he loved it! Definitely tasted super fresh, not frozen. We got mozzarella sticks and you got 6 with the order. And a “small” order of sweet potato waffle fries which was big enough for us to share. We definitely will stop again on our way up north!“

“This is my go-to place for fried fish and chicken. The fried green beans and fried corn on the cob are also delicious. I turned a couple of my friends on to this place as well, including a friend visiting from Georgia. She liked the food so much, she took pictures and posted them on social media. I also appreciate the good service provided by the young ladies who take the orders. Manhattan will continue to get my business as long as they continue or increase the level of service they currently provide.“

I LOVE their style of boneless wings — many places do them like mini chicken fingers (heavily breaded) but this place prepares them like bone-in wings — minimal, if any, breading. And they're BIG. At so many wing places I feel like I'm getting ripped off paying a dollar or more for a single bite... not here.Their menu overstates the spiciness of their sauces - do not be alarmed by the number of peppers shown beside their sauces. Their "hot" is a medium at most, even by Midwestern standards. I don't normally care for Old Bay, but I really enjoyed their Hot Old Bay.The only downsides are their fries and their dining area. The fries might just not travel well — they're crinkle cut, seemed to be cooked through as usual, but were a bit soggy (can easily be blamed on travel) and a little flavorless. “I’m a person who loves to read reviews especially when I’m going somewhere for the first time! After reading the bad reviews about their food and customer service; I was very hesitant to order at this restaurant.When I walked in to place my order; the woman behind the counter (Renée) greeted me with a smile and was so kind & patient with me (considering I was indecisive about what to order). I eventually ordered the chicken (legs & thighs), catfish & fried mushrooms. Everything I ordered tasted great and the kids & I was surprisingly satisfied. I will be going back to try the spaghetti & some other items on the menu ❤️“

“This is the best Krispy krunchy Chicken in the Metro Detroit area. I have visited several of the independent sites. This by far is the best ever!!!

Parking: This is a busy gas station usually two or three spaces to just pick up chicken are available.

“The nuggets are not good. For this to be KFC, Wendy's and McDonalds nuggets are better. Just use the regular chicken breading and thigh and breast meat mixture. They are dry and not seasoned. I did get other food making up for this But...Open on time. Food was fast and fresh. Hot and made like I want. Clean inside. Didn't smell like bleach or cleaner. Just nothing but good food. Staff was courteous as well. The only real let down was the nuggets.“

“I came across this place about 8 years ago or so . We were looking for a chicken place. Our favorite things are an all dark meat bucket. The shrimp, chicken bites, onion rings etc. But my favorite is the Cole slaw ! I know most places make Cole slaw chopped larger I've always hated that. But chicken shack has it cut so small I just love it. Please don't change it !“

“Located inside a supermarket, this place is a little hidden gem for fried chicken! Service was great, we walked up and were handed a sample tender and potato wedge. Got 12 pc chicken family meal that was way better and cheaper than KFC or chicken shack. The gentleman serving us gave us generous portions and was very nice. Everything tasted so good!
