“The food is delicious every time!! Very generous servings that feed my family several times over and they always ask for more!!
The meats are never too dry, the bread is always fresh and soft, the tabooli is perfect and zesty - it’s one of my favorites and I’m choosy AF about it I was spoiled growing up with my friends parents. So good!!
Oh!! And the prices!! You get so much more than your chain restaurants for much better quality food!!

“I moved to SCS 5 months ago and have never been here before. My family and I have tried carryout from several restaurants and we always end up with Gilbert’s. Great food, service & prices. I had my daughters 1st birthday in their banquet room yesterday and I’m over the moon happy with how it turned out! The staff was super helpful and always around when I needed anything. The food was great, my guests raved about the pizza and spinach dip. I would book events here in the future without a doubt. Look no further for a great American cuisine menu and staff that makes you feel like family!“

“We stopped in for breakfast before a wrestling tournament and we had excellent service and our food was great! My son said the French toast was the best he’s ever had, and the corn beef hash was homemade! Would definitely recommend and will stop again if we are back in the area.“

The people who work there are great as well. Last time I was there, the man behind the counter came out and held the door for my daughter and I. It made my day.

“would recommend if the owner wasn't hateful towards queer people. Foods great, staff is great, but the owner felt the need to harass me for wearing an ankle high skirt and sitting with my friends. He kept insisting it was other people who had an issue with me just existing in his space when all I was doing was sitting there quietly drinking a drink. No one but him said a word about it. His wife came up trying to apologize but sat there and tried to call it "my life style choices". no one chooses to be. I didn't choose to be anything other than myself and I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone because they hate people like me. Owner claims I'm welcome only after people left because of what he said to me. He clearly doesn't realize gender expression and gender identity is a protected class here in Michigan. I was born with conditions that caused me to be very tall, and conditions that caused my hormones to be equal. several of my organs didn't form right and one died. I shouldn't have to explain this. I shouldn't be dehumanized like the owner tried to do. Bigotry almost never stops at one thing and the owner is a bigot.“

Our server was friendly and prompt. The food was delivered promptly and hot. The hash browns were crispy as I requested.

The atmosphere was fast paced, people were hustling about. The decor was a bit dated, old school diner, but the value more than makes up for it.“

“This pizza tasted like victory. I just got off work and was craving a deep dish pizza, however it was 9:50 and I was worried they couldn't take my order. Thankfully the staff member answered my call and let me order a small deep dish pizza simple with pepperoni and cheese. This pizza made my night after work and I am very satisfied with my purchase from the dough to the audible crust that my friend on my FaceTime was jealous of lol. Whomever made this pizza tonight deserves a raise xD.“

“Got carry out while they were under construction. The labne and sojok sandwiches are amazing. Great baba ghannouj - usually if a restaurant can nail this dish everything else is gonna be good. Tabbouleh was on point as well. I'll be back for sure.

“Went by boat and was disappointed their signature burger (a cheeseburger with the cheese stuffed in the patty) is now only a Monday item. Otherwise, it's just a basic cheeseburger I can get anywhere. The service and atmosphere is fun in the marina but I came for the cheeseburger! The clam chowder was excellent though.“

“Excellent Almond boneless chicken, but my favorite things are the Springrolls(the sauce for them yummy ?) and the crabmeat/cream cheese wontons are phenomenal. About to try the bout and sour soup tonight. Excited ? Great local spot, the owners/employees are exceptionally cool, and I’ve yet to have a bad meal from there. Delightfully Delightful ????

Parking: Lots of open spaces when you go between 7:30pm-9-pm. Never ate there earlier, but I’m sure it’s ok parking wise people. Don’t be scared ? Just try them and enjoy!!!! Worth the coin$$$

“Grilled Tubby's Famous sub is amazing! Everything's getting too expensive, but the prices here are a little high for what you get. However, I see they are stuffing a coupon in every sub going out the door now, so you can get at least a dollar off your next big sub.“
