“We spent the afternoon e-cycling between Sutton’s Bay and this winery. What a great stop on our way! We drank some really nice wines and enjoyed a lovely charcuterie board as well. A beautiful stop that we will certainly make again and again!”

“Stopped in on Sunday 3/16. Middle of a snow storm but they were open. Guy was working the bar and was pleasant to talk witymh as I enjoyed a pint. He was informed of the industry and welcoming on a crappy day. I look forward to going again.”

“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. Oh, and the wine is outstanding.”

“I had a sandwich at Lylah’s today, amazing quality and could easily had fed two people. The flavor was incredible. I am happy to say this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Leelanau county. Staff were very friendly, pleasant environment and clean. Give it a try, don’t think you will be disappointed. Great place!”

“We are locals and frequent Hawkin’s Farm Cellars a lot. The service is friendly and the Thai food is exceptional. My husband especially loves the Pad Thai chicken and I am a huge fan of the Green Curry dish. You could literally close your eyes and just point to anything on the menu and never be disappointed!”

“Stopped in for a Sunday breakfast while vacationing in northern Michigan at this downtown Sutton's Bay eatery. There was comfortable seating inside and out on the patio. The ambiance was warm, with touches of humor incorporated in the decor (note the framed picture over the fireplace when you visit). We dined in the very relaxing atmosphere filled with quiet recorded jazz and happy patrons' conversations. The service was friendly and excellent. Our breakfasts were delicious! My partner's Eggs Benedict disappeared as did my Cherry Cream French Toast with fresh black and red raspberries crowning it off. We will DEFINITELY stop here again! Highly recommend it! Notes: While we did not order drinks aside from coffee, note the drink menu image. And, as we left, we spotted a notice of future live jazz combo appearances.”

They have reorganized their food ordering process so you can order via QR code from the table which was a lot more organized than the last time we visited. Be sure to check out the corn hole in the back corner after you eat!!”

“We visited VI Grill Saturday 9/13/25. Stefan T was the BEST server I have ever encountered. He kept our drinks filled, very knowledgeable of the menu, made sure we had everything we needed, and was a very friendly pleasant individual. He did a great job keeping all his tables happy while it was a busy day. Stefan definitely deserves a raise!”

“We stopped in after getting our Christmas tree from Kolariks Christmas tree farm just before noon on a Saturday. Rookie parent move, we had promised our 2.5yr old a sprinkled donut however when we arrived the case had been wiped out by the busy morning rush. The sweet lady working overheard us talking and offered to make our son a fresh sprinkled donut. Her kindness and delicious donut made his day! Also highly recommend the pumpkin cream cheese muffin and lemon poppyseed muffin! Thank you Chimoski Bakery!”

“Our first visit since new owners took over during the Covid years. Tracy & Harry have created an atmosphere with elevated interaction with customer attention unmatched in the region. Wine options are fewer than most wineries, but they are all solid offerings. We prefer dry wines, so the Pinot Noirs were our favorites and the whites were also enjoyable. Very much worth a visit for the tasting experience.”
