“Order from Fannie now! I was visiting Detroit over the holidays and needed a highly custom vegan cake for a family celebration. It was totally last minute, and I had little hope of finding a bakery that could accommodate the order on short notice and with its specificity. Fannie was happy to help! She baked us a beautiful and positively delicious vegan carrot cake with buttercream frosting. My father is 78 and has enjoyed vegan desserts for many, many years. He called it one of the best that he has eaten! It would be one thing if the product alone was amazing. It’s extra special that Fannie is such a warm, kind soul on top. “Omg! Can’t say enough great things about this bakery! I believe this bakery is under new management as of Fall 2025 so keep that in mind when reading older reviews. I recently ordered a customized cake for a 40th birthday party and the process was so easy from start to finish. I texted with the bakery to explain and send pics of what I was looking for which was super convenient. I really appreciated their prompt and professional process. The cake turned out 10 times more beautiful than I could have even imagined. Pictures truly don’t do it justice! Everyone at the party was awed by how gorgeous it was. BUT how beautiful the cake was is not why I’m writing a review. Every person at the party (about 50 people) went NUTS over how delicious it was!!!! It was the talk of the party! The most fluffy and decadent birthday cake I’ve ever had, the frosting was perfectly sweet but balanced, and the middle cream layer was heavenly!! We offered some to a table nearby and they ended up coming over to the party later on to get details on where the cake came from. I wish I had business cards to hand out because the cake truly was the star of the party! I also need to say that the price was more than fair for how big the cake was and the insane detail they put into decorating it. I can’t wait to order more cakes in the future!“

“4 star, could have been 5star if they bake the bread a little longer

1. Location is convenient. I don't have to drive to Dearborn for man'oushé (flat bread) if I am nearby for work.
2 Everything is fresh, bread is roll off from a machine at the back and then bake in the brick oven. They need to bake it a little longer because the back of the bread is sort of white.
3. Meat bread is not oily for some reason. more tomato flavor compare to other bakery. Maybe that's how the owner likes it.
4. Zaatar flavor is mild, herb is not overwhelming. Maybe because I ate it when it was cold.
5. Cheese bread is good, bread is thick like pita bread which is odd.

“I just had, without exaggeration, the best cinnamon roll of my life.

It’s 4 PM and somehow this place is completely empty. And the cinnamon roll? Unreal. It tasted like a real cinnamon roll, not one of those overly processed, fake tasting franchise ones. You know the difference immediately. This had that homemade, bakery-quality flavor, rich cinnamon, perfectly soft dough, warm all the way through, with that melt-in-your-mouth texture that’s both fluffy and gooey at the same time.
