“Tonight my family and I came in. We were seated right away. After being greeted our server/bartender Tony presented the menu to us since we have never been there. The service from there on out was phenomenal! Tony was attentive, personable, and just awesome all around! Thank you for the awesome night! We will be back! We will be requesting him when we do!“

“If you’re looking for burgers and sandwiches, this is your place. Prices are super reasonable as well, especially for being in downtown Rochester. It is a bar, so it’s not gourmet, but it’s probably the best bar food you’ll have. The only issue is parking since their lot has probably 6 or 7 spaces. You’ll probably end up parking across the street at the library or behind the building next door near the community park.“

“We hosted my toddlers birthday party here last month. We had an excellent experience. The food was ready right on time and delicious. We had multiple servers who were so attentive and kind. I don’t think anyone had an empty glass at any point. It was a Saturday evening with a packed bar and we couldn’t even tell in the side room. We will absolutely host another event there in the future!“

“Unexpected excellence! Came in at 4pm on Friday, our efficient and friendly waiter Andy was taking care of at least 10 other tables-but made each customer feel well taken care of. The clam chowder soup was excellent, like from a fine seafood restaurant! The Cobb salad was presented beautifully, and I took about half of it home! “Where do I even begin? The second we walked in the door, everyone was so wonderful! We took our twins out to celebrate their second birthday! Our waiter Nicholas was so kind and patient! He made sure our babies food was put in quickly and came out hot and fresh. (They were getting hangry. haha) Nicholas gave us some recommendations and they did not disappoint! 👏🏽 Everything we got was fresh, hot, and delicious, from the appetizer, to our meals, to the twins' meals. Even my mocktail was spot on! Their manager, Amanda, was who delivered our food. She was so sweet and cheerful!! She came back over later on to check on us and wish our babies a happy birthday! The entire restaurant was clean and well maintained. You can truly tell the staff enjoy their jobs. Nicholas and Amanda made sure we had a great first experience. My hubby and I have decided to come back, minus babies, and have a date night so we can further enjoy the extensive, and yummy looking, menu. 10/10 highly recommend.“

“Corner bar is an excellent place for the summertime! The music is great, vibes are good and drinks are delicious. I had the watermelon salad paired with a Hugo spritz, both classic choices. They have a summer capri pop up right now which is so cute for the girlies to hang out and take pics! Service is phenomenal, Angie always takes care of me so well. Plus the owner is extremely friendly, greeting every table. It really shows what a great atmosphere they’ve created! Definitely will be back !!“

“I’ve never had authentic Cajun food in all my 43 years of existence until today. This food is SO GOOD that it was almost a religious experience. The gumbo is freaking FIRE. flavorful. Well seasoned. Perfectly cooked. They have the most delicious coleslaw I ever had and the grand finale is the Cajun angel pasta. Great portion size. Perfectly prepared. And they don’t skimp on the protein. It was all very well packaged and the best part is that it’s budget friendly when it comes to pricing. I was so in love with this food when I tasted it that I actually almost cried. My hat is off to the staff and the chefs. If you should ever close it will be a travesty. It’s like getting a taste of the N’Orleans life right here in Michigan. TAKE. MY. MONEY. “Took our first trip to this place just last night. Has a little bit of everything for those not looking to stay seated during dinner. Food took forever though and was decent. Waitress was a little lost with constantly asking our table of 6 what they ordered and whose drink went with whose order. Other than that the atmosphere was pretty cool. We played some cornhole, which was decently priced by the hour ($10). Plus they had classic arcade games, free to play like Ms Pac Man, Galaga, Frogger, and Donkey Kong along with 90’s classics like Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz and House of the Dead. Plus over a dozen pinballs. Arcade area was a sight to see since most places now use carnival or ticket games. They also had a poker room which was full. Did not see any pool tables, darts or disc golf so not sure if those get removed during poker night. I’d consider coming back but not during their busier times. It was more than half capacity but id imagine an even further delay on food or your wait staff being really lost handling more than 20 orders at multiple tables. Either way I’d recommend it as long as you aren’t really hungry going in or don’t like huge crowds.“

“This place is crazy good.
I got the hangover burger and some cheese sauce for my fries (I recommend dunking ur burger in it too omghhh).
The bacon has a super smokey flavor, the egg was perfectly runny, hash brown didn't get soggy, patties were cooked nice. I love the fries too, has a little sugar and balances out the salty.
I went home and slept for 3 hours so if you have plans after I wouldn't recommend it 😂.
Bloody Mary was good too, nice n peppery

The next time I put together a big party, I'm thinking I'll be taking it to the Metro!! I only wish that they would make their cream of asparagus soup more often. “We didn't eat here, we stopped in for a cheer. This charming, and cozy bar had superb staff members who were extremely friendly, personable, professional, and provided speedy service. We saw some bands play in their parking lot during Royal Oak Tacofest. There's a small outdoor patio, and several tables inside The Rock on 3rd. Their beer menu is decent, and their martinis are delicious. Must visit!!“

“My husband and I live just down the road from Mug Pub, and it’s become one of our favorite local spots! We love the fun, lively atmosphere, the fantastic drinks, and the friendly staff. The food is great too. We highly recommend Mug Pub for anyone looking for a fun sports bar experience!“
