Everytime I visit there, I'm satisfied.

“This is some of the best sushi in Metro Detroit, it’s our favorite sushi place and we go there almost weekly. The food is always delicious and the staff and service is phenomenal. I have never left this restaurant disappointed or hungry. If I could give this place more than five out of five stars, I would. 11/10 would recommend. Some of our favorite roles include, Caribbean roll, Cancun roll, rainbow roll, just the name a few examples they’re all delicious just order whatever suits your taste, you won’t be disappointed.“

“hard to get a person to answer the phone due to limited english but they’re very sweet workers and i don’t mind going in to order! i love the mabo chicken with udon but it is veeeery spicy! so i only get it on occasion! highly recommended their egg salad sandwich! it’s so good 😭“

“The Good:
They've got legit Japanese chefs and a massive menu, so you've got tons of options. The staff is friendly and they don't drag their feet getting your food out. Plus, the prices won't break the bank for most things.

The Hamachi and Katsuo no Tataki were fresh wins, the Onion-Lever is a standout with fantastic texture, and that Akadashi Miso Soup with herbs and seaweed sounds like a real treat!

The Not-So-Good:
Watch out for some misses. The Soba soup apparently has a funky, sour thing going on. The Potato Salad is a letdown in the flavor department, and the fried oysters miss the mark on texture.

The Bottom Line:
Fumi's a mixed bag. You can have a great meal here, but you've gotta be smart about what you order. Stick to the fresh fish, the Onion-Lever, and that special miso soup, and you'll likely be happy. Venture off that path, and you might end up with something you regret. Choose wisely!“

“Best Japanese restaurant I've been to in the metro detroit area. Its self serve with paper slips, hence the 4 stars on service, and you need to put ur own dishes away but its super easy so whatever. Everything ive had has been amazing so try something new.“

“Cute little sushi restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. I’ve dined in and had this delivered and both were great. Food always comes out fast and correct. They have a decent amount of tables or you can sit at the sushi bar and watch the sushi be made. I’ve never had to wait for a table (even at peak dinner time).

The miso soup is a must have. Piping hot, simple and delicious. I’ve only had sushi here but everything has been great. They offer daily specials which are great for trying rolls you normally wouldn’t get. My favorite is the Las Vegas roll. If you added salmon to a jalapeño popper, that’s this roll!“

“Me and my fiancé visited Nara for a date night for the first time and everything was amazing from the moment we walked in until the moment we left the staff was very friendly the bathrooms were clean our Chef was amazing the food was delicious they give you a big portion I love the fact that the noodles came with the rice.. “This is a family owned restaurant and our experience was wonderful. We were greeted and seated simultaneously and expeditiously. The young male server was very attentive and answered any and all our questions-and I had a lot of them. I also didn’t know the sushi role I got was uncooked, they were happy to replace it with something more satisfactory. It was my first time trying dumplings and OMG it was a 10/10!!!! “Doordashed New York Sushi tonight. Philadelphia roll was meh, sort of room temperature and slightly soggy and slimey. Not great. Vegas roll however was fried goodness. Loved the coating, loved the crunch, loved the flavors, loved the jalepeno. The smell of the ginger was fantastic. The rice was cooked well and not hard. Philadelphia roll tasted like they got some lox from the bagel house and put them with a slimey avocado and everything sat on the counter too long. Hope I don't get sick.“

“This is my favorite sushi place in the area. The sushi is delicious the staff are friendly. My go to stop. I highly recommend. I would give it 5 stars if they had the deal or special for 50% off that would be awesome. Price could be a little less but overall amazing experience.“

“They have a drive-thru, which I found interesting for a sushi spot. We dined inside on a Saturday around 12:30 PM and were the only ones there—it seems to cater more to carry-out orders. That said, they offer some great lunch specials.
We started with the dumplings, which were fried perfectly. Then we split three rolls: the California roll was your standard classic, the fried chicken roll came in large, saucy bites, and the Salmon on the Rocks was a bit tricky to eat—the salmon didn’t stay on well.
Overall, it’s a good spot for quick, affordable sushi. I’m looking forward to trying the sushi bowl next time.“
