Food is well above average for brewery gastropub fare. Don’t hesitate to visit, even on a busy weekend. Grab a pint and mosey around.“

“We recently dined at Public Restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed by several standout dishes and cocktails.

The Southern Shrimp Beignets were a delightful start to the meal. These savory beignets, complemented by hot honey, blue crab, and pimento cheese, offered a blend of flavors that set the tone for the evening.

The Public Prime Cheeseburger was a testament to classic comfort food done right. Served on a pretzel bun with a choice of cheese and accompanied by hand-cut fries, it was both satisfying and flavorful.

The Maple Basted Scottish Salmon was paired with butternut squash, whipped goat cheese, bacon-onion jam, and finished with maple brown butter, each bite was a delightful combination of sweet and savory.

The Midwest Wedge salad was refreshing and delightful. Topped with buttermilk ranch dressing, candied bacon, red onion, tomato, and crumbled bleu cheese, it provided a crisp and flavorful balance to the meal.

Public Restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The attentive service further enhanced the dining experience. The waitress came by to refill our waters several times throughout the service (even if they were slightly less full).

“A few good to great cocktails at pretty reasonable prices. Good staff, great atmosphere, almost no food, great beer list at somewhat high, not well marked, prices... and far too many of them (some as low as 7%abv) served in small (6oz? 8oz?) pours. Wine selection a bit lacking. Decent whisk(e)y selection. For busy events, at least, everything is in plastic which downgrades the experience a bit.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not really accessible. One zero entry door into side/event room, but that side room is a step lower than main room with the bar in it, and often no table service, so you better have an able-bodied companion with you or you might not get a drink.“

“Great place to grab some pizza and hangout. The wait time is usually longer than most pizza places, but it is definitely worth the wait. The service is always pretty good, and it’s nice to have the touch tunes to pick some songs while you wait. Favorite pizza joint in Holland by far!“

“So I always hate to leave bad staff reviews, but sometimes I have to tell it how it is. The staff was ok for bar staff, when they did come by or you get service it was ok. Getting service was tough, you would sit for a long time with no one coming by, and you will have to flag them down. The food that I ordered was forgotten, and I did have to say "hey were is my sandwich?" And my second drink. I got a friend "oh sorry" and such, and truthfully I'm ok with it I'm no Karen about that. Maybe management needs to hire more help, or help them with a bit more training/insight, but it is what it is for a hotel bar. The food selection is bleak at best, I have a feeling it's due to the kitchen equipment that is available. The worst part was the morning breakfast time, my wife went down at 6 minutes past when breakfast was done. Grabbed coffee and went to have grab a bagel that was still sitting there on the buffet, only to have a teenage boy yell at her to leave it, because breakfast was over. I get yes it was over, but it wasn't a special request, no prep needed, just a bagel in a plactic bin, but nope leave it lady.“

“First of all, we only stopped here for dessert. They completely wowed us and they were very good. They were much larger than we expected and they tasted great. I did order coffee as well and they weren't very quick to offer refills or check back on us.
The service while friendly wasn't super welcoming or friendly, but it wasn't rude by any means. Ironically, someone who was not our server came out and made more conversation with us and made us feel more comfortable than our actual server. It's a great outdoor patio and a great town that is absolutely worth exploring and the interior is full of lots of hidden treasures and some great design and the bathrooms are very clean.“

“Solid 4 stars. Super great deal on the specials that go from 3-8 pm. I went with the 1 lb of ribs. Definitely fall off the bone. I had to scrape most of the BBQ sauce off as they were drowning. The margarita tasted good, but didn't seem to have much tequila in it. Server was nice.“
