New American Restaurants near West Olive, MI

“We went here for valentine's day and I have not been in this restaurant in 15 plus years. This was an early dinner 4:00 pm and although the parking lot was full the restaurant did not seem that full. Upon entering we were greeted promptly and seated at the back of the place in what seemed like a two person, high top cubby. I was OK with this but my husband's chair was wobbly and he felt like he had to lean over to get to his food. The interior is really nothing special with concrete floors and whitewashed walls but this fits in with the beach vibe. Our waitress greeted us promptly and was knowledgeable and friendly. My husband ordered a ceasar salad to start but they lost the salad as they joked and had to go find where it went. The food seemed to take a bit of time to get out to us but taste was good when it arrived. Now I am a visual eater with my eyes first and the plate has to look well presented. My plate was the hanger steak and frits and my steak was cooked perfectly rare like I asked but it could have used a bit more flavor and please do not put a side of ketchup on my plate if I want that I'll ask for it. I was really looking forward to the aujus that was posted on the menu with it. Now don't get me wrong they give you a half pound of delicious fries which honestly they could cut those in half and add a nice roasted brussel sprout with bacon. My husband enjoyed his stroganoff very much. Overall we would return and try other items on the menu.“

“Josh was our server. We sat outside and it was lovely. Quiet. Best weather you could get. My salmon was AMAZING included whipped goat cheese on bottom and four fried green tomatoes. Omg. The best. My husband had the fish and chips. Couldn't have been happier with our selections. Great service and glad we made the short ride from Holland.“

“So thankful for this place and their staff— I came in with no reservations trying to take my two daughters out for dinner before our dance. All other places in area were on long waits but without telling her or pushing for it, the manager said she could fit us in before their next reservation. Made the world for us to be able to have dinner together at such a nice restaurant before the daddy daughter dance. Food was great and so was the staff. Thank you so much!“

“I got the breakfast burrito, quesadilla and big breakfast. They were all really really good, but they tried automatically adding a 15% tip for an online order and that always annoys me. They also forgot to add the butter to the order which cost extra. Overall I would go again since it had a great flavor profile, but I wouldn’t spend my own money here again due to the price (luckily it was on a company card)“

“Really chill atmosphere. Kind of small but what do you expect for a hotel. We went there for trivia night, which was really fun. The waiters were nice. The appetizers and drinks we had were good too. Overall, a pretty solid experience. Yup!“

Friendly atmosphere, nice menu and outdoor dining. Cold, delicious beer and tasty food. I would recommend the Whitefish sandwich-yum! Loved our time here-we will return!“
