“Great food, great service, very friendly. Date night once a week. This was the place for date night every Thursday for many years with my wife. When I brought coworkers for lunch it became at least once a week meetup till I retired. I still go as often as I can to meet friends, family and the great staff.“

“Grand opening day, Thursday...the pizza St Paul didnt know we needed! I saw their facebook post a few days ago for an 11:00 opening w free pizza for the first 50. I was about 20th in line @ 5 to open, the last one in line. PJ was the friendly order taker. After ordering my pizza i was offered a glass of ice water! Hey, thanks! I appreciated that they kept it simple for open/free, offering cheese, sausage or pepperoni. My pizza came up fast & was delicious! The crust?! My go-to is to toss the crust back on the plate but Maya's is like a butter crust..... delicious. No wasting a bite & tossing the crust, eat it all. I like the digs; a normal dining room but if you go to the left, there's a yellow & foilage room, the patio room. How fun. I didnt indulge today but am quite intrigued by Tattersall cocktails on tap! There is a small parking lot in the back but also free sude street parking & free parking on both sides of 7th. I appreciate that below the trash is pizza & to go boxes, help yourself. “Alright, so after a few visits, here’s what I’ve experienced:

Smash burger is amazing; it’s basically all I’ve ordered for at least 8 visits now.

Seven out of eight visits have been great, with just one exception.

Here’s why they don't get the fifth star:

Seat Yourself is fine; I don't mind it. However;

I came in with two business associates I had told about the awesome smash burger.

It was full on a Friday 07/17, with nowhere to sit. The heat of the day was gone, and the patio was in the shade.

We were standing awkwardly while waiting for a table, and not one staff member said hello. I asked if we could sit on the patio and was told no, even after I pointed out it wasn’t that hot anymore, there was shade, and no seating inside. It felt like I was told it wasn’t my problem and was blown off.

So, I can only assume this place is so successful that they don't bother with customer service and make so much money that common-sense solutions to problems in making that money don't matter to the owners.

Also I was a little embarrassed that happened after I talked the place up.

“What a night - somehow even after the wild loss this Sunday our group had a blast! Food was great - service was impeccable and the view was extremely enjoyable. After all of that I would have been a repeat customer but it gets even better …. I was in a hurry to beat traffic and I left my vest Sunday evening. They are closed on Monday …. I reached out via Facebook and they returned my vest with my truck keys - which is already a huge win - but they showed up during closed hours for me on Monday to make it happen- next level stuff I’m still blown away that they went this far above and beyond … can’t wait for my next trip to the cities for zambonis !! DULCE was very attentive checking on us if we needed anything else and if everything was good, and can't complain I wish other restaurants count with her example of customer service! And the chef Patric he was impressive the way he cook my meals and decorated our plates , we order steak and salmon but the rest of restaurants cannot compare to the level of detail and delicacy on our food! “Popped in after The Foo Fighters show last night. Staff was phenomenal handling that higher-than-normal Sunday night volume. “Bloomington, MN, @ Southtown is my fave Applebee’s of all the MN ABs. (I haven’t been to the Baxter one yet). The food is always so good, great music, every employee is so genuinely kind, attentive, and seems to really enjoy their jobs. It’s so chill there; just perfect, really comfy.
