“Amian has always been good but under their new ownership has gotten even better. The quality of the dishes is superb, the portions are very large, and really reasonable prices. The American Chinese dishes are great and surprisingly they have a very good pad thai. Looking forward to trying more dishes and happy to have them so close!“

Of all the restaurants, Perkins restaurants have been consistently the best. The Vadnais Heights restaurant under the management Paula Primeau is, in my opinion, the best of the best. The quality of the food, service and staff is exemplary and the sense of welcome one feels each and every time you return is immeasurable! Very cool & well designed with a great vibe, beautiful bar area where you can comfortably dine also. Which is aso the main diningroom with views of the kitchen & Chefs creations. “I thought i would give this a try as I was in the area on a Friday night. The casino is small but offers quite a bit of card games for those who enjoy poker, black jack, pai gao and several others. When you first walk in, the bar area and restaurant greet you, I grabbed a seat at the bar and was quickly offered a water and menu. I ordered a club sandwich and fries($10), my sandwich arrived pretty quickly and was delicious. the club is large and filling, and the fries were tasty. If you are looking for a good value in the Forest Lake area, it's hard to pass up Trout Air Tavern but it does come with whole Casino vibe.“

“There were quite a few cars in the drive-thru, but it moved pretty quickly. Once you pay and get your drinks and a number post-it, you park in an area past the drive-thru and they have several runners who bring the food out. That seems more efficient than waiting at the window while they prepare your food.

Note to other patrons:
Bringing a large group to breakfast on the busiest day of the week? Call ahead and reserve a table. Panicking the high school age hostess because you brought a group of 11, which was shortly followed by a group of 6, to a popular busy breakfast place and didn’t plan ahead… not their fault. Being seated after 1-top and 2-tops… normal. They only have so many big tables. Don’t flip out at the young girl trying to find you a table because someone eating by themselves was seated before your entire group had a free table. Accept YOUR bad planning and wait til they can accommodate you.

“Shout out to my new favorite spot! This is the only bar in the North Branch area that will play a Packers Game for locals and not just the Vikings games. They are extremely friendly. The owner is amazing and accommodating unlike, sadly, some of the other local owners who won't even make eye contact with patrons. Their food is amazing!
