“We were here for dinner over the weekend and everything about this place was phenomenal we tried multiple things off of the to share or not portion of the menu and loved every bit of it. The whole grilled fish our waitress mentioned rotates depending on what is available fresh and it was cooked to Perfection and probably our favorite thing all weekend. The cocktail menu is unique and everything that we had the opportunity to try was delicious I highly recommend doing the cocktail flight to anybody who doesn't have a favorite spirit. Staff was incredibly friendly and knew what they were talking about if you had questions. To those looking at going here reservations are a must!!!! Great atmosphere as well“

We brought along a menu that we had from the 1960's to show staff . . . prices have changed, but not much else except the carpet, which is as it should be . . . quality is quality! As my Mom noted, we had a DINING experience; we were not just quickly and mindlessly served. Because of that, us younger-fold will be back to JAX to enjoy that experience. But for one night, the JAX staff and owners helped our parents and godfather celebrate old times and again enjoy a "night out on the town" they will not soon forget! In 2021 we could not go out for steak due to covid. Sample room had a take and bake meal with clear instructions. It was a great meal with baby steaks and veggies etc. But since that day I am not afraid to cook steak because of the precise instructions. They gave me what I needed.

It's now 2024 and I rock at cooking steak.

“Did the Halloween experience in the Basement Bar and can't wait to go back. They are right - you don't get a meal, you get tickets to the show! Super creative and fun. You can tell they enjoy it . Very yummy.

One thing our group didn't love that we were forced to do a "pairing" of beverages ( NA or not)with our experience. And then service fees were added. So the price is not very transparent and become a contention for our group and some backed out.“

Our server Adam was one of the best servers I’ve ever had, was fun to talk to, checked in enough, and just an overall great guy to have as a server. Food was good, I think we each got something he suggested and all loved the food plus had some to take home. “Great place to go for fast food. The bacon butterburger with fries is my meal of choice. The double is a bit much for me, because I stuff the burger with French fries.
I order the burger with a large fries, instead of the "make it a basket" deal, simply because the basket is just a medium fry and drink added on, I believe.
The cheese curds and pretzel bites are great sides, with enough cheese sauce with it to use on pretzels and French fries.
They also have a cooler to buy the cement mixers to go. I have never tried them myself, but definitely gonna give one a shot. Would have already if they were $1 cheaper...hint hint
If you are getting fast food, this place is definitely worth the stop. My meal is around $10, and that works great for me, and if I have the extra bucks, I add pretzels bites.

“Edit: I finally dined there. The food was fantastic, my wife loved the onion rings and the careful service that we were given. Burgers were great. Coleslaw was actually refreshing, and not mayo dumped. Matt and his staff gave us a wonderful time on New Years Day. I will be back, with a bottle of heinz which is a small complaint.

Edit: The manager was very very prompt in responding to my email in resolving this year. In prompt it was less than about 30 minutes when I reached out via email. Which is actually, pretty darn impressive nowadays to take responsibility instead of passing the buck. They get five stars now.

I made Christmas reservations only to learn less than three days before Christmas that they weren't actually open. Their site allowed me to make a reservation. I called them to confirm if they were closed as I found out not from them at all. They did confirm it, and then laid blame on my insisuating that since they've never been open for Xmas, I should of known. Okay, then tell that to your reservation page.Pathetic service right before the holidays.

Even after I called and said it was taken down. It's still up allowing others to book a reservation. I hope there ain't some family that shows up expecting a reservation thay never should of been placed.“

“I was staying in the University of Minnesota and this place was a life saver when I did not want to eat in the dining hall. Their falafel sandwich was genuinely some of the best falafel I have ever had and their fries were undoubtedly the best fries I have ever had. The service was super quick and we got our food in under 10 minutes consistently. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere to it. Would strongly recommend if you are in the area!“

They have numerous vegetarian options, but vegan options are very limited and there is no dedicated vegan menu options, so I took off 1 star from my review.
