“My dad and I came here for lunch, he got the classic gyro and I got the gyro bowl. Both were so yummy! Very generous portions and fresh ingredients, the gyro meat was delicious. I added olives to my bowl and got a side of the spicy sauce as well as the “white sauce” on the bowl. We will definitely be back to try more menu items!“
“This place is amazing, the staff is so helpful! They don’t charge as much as others and They are always upgrading and redoing the felt on all the tables, getting new house cues, and the food is better and cheaper than mostly restaurants. Very friendly and relaxed. Whether you’re a professional or just beginning, if it’s your first date night, anniversary, birthday party this place will take care of you. Thank you so sue and jimmy!!!“
“Solid menu. Food prepared well. Reasonable value. Sarna's isn't alone with the trend of crossing a sports' bar with a better menu, so the issue may be more with me for not embracing that trend instead of Sarna's for employing it. Food is very, very good.“
“First visit today. Only reason I went with just a 4 star review. Not really close to us, as we live in South Minneapolis area, Longfellow. Was looking for a new place for brunch, that we hadn't been to before. Good reviews on Yelp made it worth the drive North. It an old diner with a pretty complete menu. I typically go with a pretty basic breakfast when I try a new place, Doll always sticks to a veggie omelet. I went with the Polish Ranch. scrambled eggs, polish sausage, hash browns, and toast. All hot and very tasty, Doll loved the omelet. Great attention from our waitress, very attentive. Spoke to the owner before we left, really solid meal that we will come back for. Told him we dine out a lot, and his breakfast was a high winner.“
“I wasn’t planning to go here as I was driving on Central Avenue near Fridley. I was actually going to one of my favorite Korean restaurants about half a mile up. As I was driving, I a saw a big tent and a crowd of people. So I flipped around and wanted to check this place out. Looks like they were celebrating Ramadan. I’m glad I saw this place because the food was delicious ?The lamb, beef kabobs, kofta, fresh tabouli and hummus were amazing. There were a lot of other food that I don’t know the names but were equally yummy. It was crazy busy but I think it was because of the celebration they were having.“
“Vegetarian options: Filling non meat options, good portions.Dietary restrictions: Seem to be able to accommodate basic food restrictions, because it is a small store, might want to call ahead to make sure that they can abide necessary restrictions.Parking: Lot always has spots, easy to park.“
“great atmosphere for watching sports, great mix of music and awesome staff! we had Sasha as our server and she was very attentive, helpful, and so welcoming! We were looking for somewhere to watch the first half of Sunday football while eating time to go to the airport and this was the perfect spot!“
“Been to several specialty dinners as well as regular nights out. The staff are outstanding and from the water server all the way to the General Manager are friendly and always willing to go to the next level of service for you. Custom meats, hearty cocktails you want it they've got it.“
“A really great experience. For us, different new cuisine, made in an accessible and delicious way. The plating was appetizing. The bison, soups and yes....the snack like popcorn crickets were our favorites. A very helpful server and all the staff was friendly and nice. Very glad we went on a visit from New York. Location was pretty too.“
“In from out of town and staying about 5 minutes away, I found this place on Google maps. I wanted something higher end...and boy did I find it!! Server named Tamara was fantastic from beginning to end. Food, drinks and atmosphere were 100% on point. Would give 10 stars if I could!“
“Love that it’s veggie forward - broccolini, mushrooms, others have us coming back for more! But that pub styler burger with dijon mayo is to die for and such a nice treat. The cake is delicious and outdoor patio in the summer is very niceDietary restrictions: Accommodating“
“Hands down one of my favorite new restaurants of 2024 so far. Service was amazing (they clear your plates and utensils between every course), and every dish my group ordered was amazing. I was a huge fan of the pork chop, smoked eel, and I still dream of the octopus bolognese. It is a bit of a pricier spot, but totally worth it (I'm already thinking about when I'd come back for the bolognese). It's a little small inside since it took over the old Revival on Nicollet, but I love the moody vibes.“
“Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.“
“I recently moved here from Arizona and George and the Dragon has become my families go to restaurant. The food is amazing and the price is very affordable. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven’t yet!“
“Nice bar seating area to watch games and order food. Ate brunch on a Saturday and got the classic eggs Benedict and a cup of coffee. All tasted good. I did appreciate my servers and how well staffed the place seems to be. Just once I had finished my food, I would have preferred they gotten my payment/receipt to me faster.“
“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! That meal was better than we could have ever expected!“
“I got the 60/40 burger rare and chicken tenders with a hot dry rub, and it was cooked to my liking. I also got a Moscow Mule, it was okay, but nothing to write home about.Parking: There's a free parking lot but it doesn't have a lot of stalls. I had to park 2 blocks away and walk over. It wasn't a big deal but it would be less than ideal in the winter.“
“Heather's in Minneapolis is a favorite. It's that neighborhood joint everyone wants with great burgers, sandwiches, and salads, a great kids menu and twisty soft serve or cookies to keep the wee beings happy. But also that cozy date night spot with amazing daily specials and lovely grown up desserts on the patio. In practice, we usually order delivery (via Toast) and there's always a little tension between a dinner order (because THOSE SPECIALS!) or weekend brunch. We were able to do both today because they offered their daily special as part of their holiday brunch menu: lemon blueberry pancakes AND the ham special with asparagus and cheesy potatoes were both just amazing. ?Ordered pastries for week day breakfasts while I was at it but the delivery person missed the second bag or something. They made it right immediately - barely hung up the phone before the doorbell rang and a smiling, kind Heather's staffer was on my porch with a bag full of goodies. They just do EVERYTHING right.“
“The food was great overall. However, my own dish of lobster gnocchi could have used less of the salt. It's better salty than bland, though. However, the service from the young waiter with long hair was outstanding. We'll be back when my daughters can treat me to another lovely dinner.“
“more of a classy ambiance - great for business meetings, team dinners, dinner with parents (which is what we did!) it's a solid spot, just misses with the "IT" factor. servers are very kind and had great recs we enjoyed. fav dishes: crab cakes, linguine, Rossa pasta & tres leches gelato skip on: risotto, tiramisu (very rummy, unless ur into that) , caramel custard (too sweet)“
“Extremely friendly atmosphere and staff. Our server, Jackson, has the best personality. Being our first visit, he explained the ingredients and recommended to try different sauces which were great. We asked to speak with his manager and Danny was just as kind. It’s nice to see a manager supporting his team with pride.“
“Had an enjoyable lunch here. The place is very popular with the locals, has a large number of tables which were mostly full, and good food. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. I had the country fried steak with grave, eggs, and hashbrowns. My wife had eaten the hashbrowns earlier for breakfast and really liked them - so I was happy to learn that they came paired with my entre. Mine were not as well-done as hers, but in fairness, she asked for extra crispy - I did not. So I didnt enjoy mine as much. I did, however, really enjoy my country fried steak. The place was celebrating a birthday so they had free chocolate cake for everyone, the cake was awesome. My wife also had a caramel roll which she said was to die for.“
“My overall experience at The Lexington was amazing. The service was amazing. Our server Chuck was great. Between the staff and management being accommodating to our large party of 7, my night was great. The food was delicious too. Thank you all so much!“
“This place is famously known as the home of the "Jucy Lucy" (or "Juicy Lucy"), a burger that has earned iconic status among locals and visitors alike. This casual eatery offers a quintessential dive bar experience with a straightforward, unpretentious vibe that focuses squarely on serving up delicious, hearty fare. The Jucy Lucy itself is the star of the menu—an ingenious burger with cheese melted inside the beef patty instead of on top, leading to a gooey core that’s both surprising and satisfying. Eating this burger is a must-try Minneapolis experience; just be cautious as the first bite can release hot, molten cheese. Matt’s rendition is often lauded for its perfect cheese-to-meat ratio and the flavorful beef patty that's seared to a crispy exterior. The setting at Matt's is typical of a traditional bar, with a cozy and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere that complements its simple yet satisfying menu. Besides their famous burger, they serve a range of classic bar foods and beverages, making it a great spot for a casual meal in a laid-back environment.Service at Matt's is friendly and efficient, with a local charm that makes everyone feel welcome. It's a great place to dive into the local culture, enjoy a piece of Minneapolis culinary history, and just have a good time with good food.“
“First time going to an official vegan place!Went with a large group and everyone enjoyed their food. The crunch wrap got a lot of praise, as well as their coffee shakes.Animal fries were a hit.Vegetarian options: Its all vegan food so great for vegetarians too.“
“My recent dinner at Spoon and Stable in Minneapolis was an experience that truly stood out in my culinary adventures. This beautifully restored horse stable turned restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a remarkable evening. The menu, curated by Chef Gavin Kaysen, is a testament to his expertise and commitment to showcasing the best of Midwest ingredients with a French twist. We started with the foie gras terrine, which was rich and perfectly balanced, and it became an instant favorite at our table. For my main course, I chose the duck breast, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a side that complemented the duck without overshadowing it.What really made our meal unforgettable was not just the food but the service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about their work. They recommended excellent wine pairings that elevated our dining experience. The dessert rounded off the evening on a high note, with creative and delightful options that were as beautiful to look at as they were to taste. The ambiance, service, and exquisite cuisine made Spoon and Stable a dining destination that I can't recommend highly enough. Whether for a special occasion or a treat-yourself night out, this restaurant promises an evening that’s both enchanting and satisfying.“
“Food was excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Went for late lunch after Big10 bball games at the Target CTR. Decided that we would go back the next day. We had the Raspberry Pie which is to die for. There were six of us and we shared one slice which was just enough considering the size of the bar menu steak sandwiches. Definitely a place to return to next time we are in Minneapolis.?“
“Wow. What a great experience. Our server Priscilla was amazing. She turned around what could have been a disappointing evening due to a longer than normal wait for our food by offering incredible service which is increasingly rare. The creme brulee was the life-changing. So good.“
“This place has been in my list of places to try for some time now. Happened to find myself in the area, and decided to go and try it. Servers are amazing! They know their menu, and are glad to give any recommendations. They recommended their Tex-Mex Breakfast Burrito, and it was fantastic! I will definitely eat here again!“
“From the moment I reserved for a large group (8) here we were taken care of! 10/10 customer service from booking to finishing our meal. Our waitress even split appetizers on the checks and was perfect for providing the best experience possible.Food was ok, just wish there were more offerings. Very greasy cuban but Brussel sprouts were amazing and had a decent amount. The violet drink was pretty good but others at the table didn't think their drinks were strong/tasted like straight up juice.Vibe was great!“
“Ignore negative reviews. Sign says no indoor seating. Use side door. Ppl don't read them leave a bad review.Mammas was recommended by a coworker. 19,000 FB followers. What can I say that hasn't been said already?Ordered a large veggie pizza add sausage. So much cheese. Overflowing with toppings. Crispy crust. So delicious!!Carry out ONLY! NO DINE IN.This place is very popular so order ahead.Closed Sundays & Mondays.Parking: Use side door. Parking lot, on street or across the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“There was some kind of mix-up with our order and the staff handled it in the most incredibly considerate way. Without even needing to ask, we were both given full refunds for our meals (which were delicious) and the workers were so kind, warm, and welcoming. Great food and energy, A++ customer service, the only minor “complaint” I have was that the music was a tiny bit too loud- but really not that big of a deal.“
“It's one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in Minneapolis. The atmosphere and service are standard brewpub. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary.Food is solid, mostly standard bar food, but it's well done with the cheese curds being noteworthy. The beer is definitely the highlight, there is a wide variety of well executed styles with the big barrel aged beers being some of the best in the state.I've been several times, and I'm sure I will be back next time I'm in Minneapolis.“
“Absolutely loved the Camden Social. The owner was very professional and welcoming. Went there for Saturday brunch and they had a jazz band playing live music. Ordered the French toast, eggs, and sausage. The sausage was so well seasoned and full of flavor. And the French toast omg so good. Probably one of the best French toast I've had. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu. Thanks for a great experience.“
“Manny's Steakhouse is an absolute gem for steak lovers. The moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a fantastic dining experience. The service is impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who are eager to help you navigate the menu and make recommendations. The star of the show, of course, is the steak. Each cut is expertly prepared and cooked to perfection, resulting in a melt-in-your-mouth experience that's second to none. The sides are equally impressive, with a variety of options that perfectly complement the main course. In addition to the amazing food, Manny's also boasts an extensive wine list and a selection of cocktails that are sure to please any palate. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a great meal, Manny's Steakhouse is the place to go.“
“Long term fan of Colossal Cafe. Great place for breakfast or lunch whether dining in or picking up. Casual atmosphere with friendly employees. My favorites are the flappers, BLT, and colossal cinnamon roll.Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu and casual atmosphere.“
“Came here on a whim while we were walking around downtown Minneapolis. The service here is wonderful and shoutout to our waitress for being so awesome! It's a traditional style pub and walking in, we felt the chill and cool vibe and atmosphere. Plenty of seating around as well. We ordered the following: Soy garlic edamame: 8/10 - it was really good and salty from the soy! The edamame beans were steamed perfectly and provided that crisp pop when you bit into one. We would taste the garlic as well and it was very pleasant on the tongue. Mac and cheese: 8/10: I thought it would be the traditional noodles but it was penne style instead. It was rich, cheesy, creamy, and the pasta cooked al dente. It came with a toasted, buttered baguette slice. It was enough to feed two people and my coworker and I shared it. It was insanely good but I prefer the regular style mac and cheese noodles. To me, this was like a step above your average mac and cheese. Mexican corn dip - 9/10: do yourself a favor and get this as your appetizer! It tasted exactly like a warm elote! The flavors were outstanding and the added lime was the chef's kiss. it comes with fresh tortilla corn chips and when you first get a taste of the dip, you taste the richness of the Cotija cheese, and then follows the sweet corn and tangy lime juice and tajin. Then you end up with the slight spicy kick at the end. We all came to the consensus that this was our favorite item of the day! We finished every corn kernel. My other coworkers had a steak salad with blue cheese dressing and a slow roasted pull pork with tater tots. They both enjoyed their food as well. Prices were good for the portion size as well and our drinks were refilled and we were checked on regularly. Come try this place out! You won't be disappointment!“
“Kruse Market is wonderful! We enjoyed the Rainbow Bowl, What’s Wrong with Basic toast, Masala Chai Tea, and Blueberry Hills coffee. All were fantastic! A friend ordered the G.O.A.T. toast (on gluten-free bread) and let me take a nibble - divine! The retail side had a ton of great merch (those basil olives!!! *chef’s kiss!*) that we also stocked up on. And my family was pleasantly surprised to be the recipients of fresh takeout pastries and some Milkjam ice cream! We had such a fantastic time! There are ample outlets for the remote worker, and enough choices to satisfy all kinds of palates and dietary needs. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!“
“We've dined here many times and every meal is a unique experience. It's an ideal place to come with friends or just your partner to sit back and enjoy the creativity and care of the chefs and staff. I love that the kitchen staff serves the food as you can tell from the passion in their descriptions, they are proud and eager to share it with you.The bar next door is a perfect place for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail which is a huge bonus! In addition, you can bring your own wine and enjoy with the meal for a very reasonable corkage fee.“
“We recently had dinner for 9 on a Friday night to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday and our godfather's 90th. We brought along a menu that we had from the 1960's to show staff . . . prices have changed, but not much else except the carpet, which is as it should be . . . quality is quality! As my Mom noted, we had a DINING experience; we were not just quickly and mindlessly served. Because of that, us younger-fold will be back to JAX to enjoy that experience. But for one night, the JAX staff and owners helped our parents and godfather celebrate old times and again enjoy a "night out on the town" they will not soon forget! For that, we THANK YOU, JAX Cafe!!!“
“This was my first visit there but not my last!! I found the check in process very professional. The staff very friendly and attentive to the needs of the dogs. The bar and cafe offer delicious food and drinks.I was extremely pleased!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dog-friendliness: The staff is right there if there's any potty issues or rough play!!!!!Picnic area: The outdoor area is awesome. Can't wait to return and have the fire pit burning!!!!!!!“
“One of my go-to places but I'm dropping a star because the last several times I've gone the kitchen has closed early because they're slow despite there being multiple patrons in the resturant still (not just the bar) so I've been having to call to make sure the kitchen is open still prior to going and even then they can't guarantee it will still be open by the time I get there which is a little frustrating. Otherwise great atmosphere, food, and drinks.“
“We love skinner’s! The food is always excellent and we always love supporting locally owned businesses. Lately it has been incredibly difficult to get a table and even pick up orders are taking an hour which makes it difficult with kids (this is placing orders prior to 5pm so even on weekends an hour wait for takeout at that time is excessive and I spent 10 years as a server at popular pizza restaurant in Duluth and understand rush times). Again love supporting local businesses but skinner’s seems to be thriving beyond their space and we will be looking to spread our business around, while still ordering from skinner’s from time to time.“
“Over 2 dozen well maintained pinball options with a hot dog menu (vegan options) and full bar with craft beer. Awesome service and friendly bartenders that kept smiling until bar close. The Godzilla machine is the LE with the collapsible building and is a must play; other popular machines included Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and Deadpool. Games are only $.50! Sure wish this pub were closer.“
“I have visited this place a number of times, but I actually had a less than desirable experience the last time I was there. I complained via FB and the owner called me personally and genuinely listened to my concerns. Where does that happen??? Now THAT is customer service. I recommend this place to everyone - because the owner really cares the you get taken care of. We need more of this in our world!“
“My only complaints was the wait time and you wait in your car and that parking is limited. Beyond that the food was great, service was phenomenal and the facility is nice, clean and seems to carry on a piece of classic American character. If you don't mind to wait I highly recommend!“
“We went to Joan’s with our dining group, Haute Plates, and left there not only fully sated, but euphoric. From the astounding service (Dan) to the overseeing by Joan herself, and all the prep by Jen for our group, we were already blown away. Then the food arrived. Each bite sent us into reverie. Are they magicians??Dietary restrictions: I cannot do butter. They were beyond accommodating!“
“best place in the twin cities. I remember when there was only beer and wine behind the bar and they sold single cigarettes. Dinner was a baguette and a roasted bulb of garlic and a bottle of wine. theater in the back with story tellers and fringe artists that kept this transplanted nyer here in the twin cities for 30 years.“
“My boyfriend and I decided to check out a new coffee shop, and we came across Cuppa Java on Google Maps. When we first entered the building, I immediately loved the vibe, and there are many cozy corners with plenty of outfits to get some work done. The employees were extremely friendly, and I ordered and ate one of the best bagels I've ever had. There is a gender neutral bathroom with ADA accessibility which I highly appreciated.I will definitely be coming back!“
“I can't believe Ive lived a few doors down from this gem and never tried their food until tonight! It was absolutely outstanding! We ordered southwest burgers and they were so juicy and obviously made fresh to order. We will be going back to try more things! Highly recommend!“
