“Casual and elbow-to-elbow seating replicates the feel of hanging out downtown or uptown, and the full-wall windows bring in excellent sunset light. The food options are excellent and the pretzel is good to split between three. A lot.of the sausage options clearly connect to my sense-memories from my experiences in Germany and taste authentic and delicious. The hometown takes on them (the Juicy Lucy Wurst is my favorite!) are also refreshing and filling.“

I had fish tacos, which isn't really a dive bar pick, but they were great. One of the people at our table had the chicken pot pie and it looked fabulous. Great server. “Burgers are great, chicken is great, ribs are great, Orange Cheese cake is wonderful. Ribeye Steak not so wonderful. Gristly thought out I ordered med-well, and came well done, with burnt Fat edges, broccoli was over cooked and woody and with little florets and charred. Our server was very pleasant & attentive. Ambiance is nothing special; I had full view of a person doing detailed cleaning of the chicken rotisserie though out my meal. What a chore that is! We chose this place to dine maybe every 3-4 months it is very close to my Son's home, we have always had good service, next time only burgers, chicken or ribs for us! Never steak again! “Had a wonderful dinner date here on a Wednesday night. It was still a very busy night for the resturant, meaning there were some tables that were spaced inches apart in the main area and making it loud enough that conversation was occasionally difficult to hear. The food though, was wonderful. We started with a couple of cocktails, the Mamakuna and La Clandestina, both of them were tasty, being fruity and light, in their respective ways. The first food we got was the masa & guacamole along with the corn elote, which go together in a fun mix-n-match way. For mains, we got chicken tinga tostadas and the seared scallops. The chicken tinga was a lot of savory deliciousness without being to heavy and the seared scallops were full of vibrant flavors, and surprisingly spicy with the salsa macha. And of course, we got the churros for dessert. They were fun and tasty, with the dulce de leche and sweetend cream, I definetly favored the cream, but I'm less of a sugar person.I would love to go again, but I think I will wait until the patio is open to get some more elbow room and bring down the noise level.Parking: The parking lot is very small, fewer than a dozen spots. There is plenty of street parking, but it's a busy area.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no curb on entry. The entranceway is pretty tight, it's got a straight hall to the left inside the front door, straight to the front desk. To get into the seating area is a right turn from facing the desk.In the seating area, there is very little room between tables, to the point where some of the tables are literally inches apart. There is a wide through path to the back of the building, where kitchen and restrooms are located. The restrooms are roomy but have low toilets.“

I was a huge fan of the pork chop, smoked eel, and I still dream of the octopus bolognese. It is a bit of a pricier spot, but totally worth it (I'm already thinking about when I'd come back for the bolognese). “Interestingly, you will hear a wide range of music in this place lol there's a rap song in the guy singing redrum redrum redrum. Don't be alarmed by this trust me there is some really cool music which I couldn't even figure out the song with the flute what it was and I asked, Kenzie, and she didn't know either she asked her manager what was playing even before I said something. The point is this is a really great place. I happen to almost get stranded here at the hotel next-door. I have a big rig company. she told me that it's Spotify playlist, different onesUnfortunately, a half hour north west of here the angry flower shop lady freaked out when I told her hey we need to get your tropical plants unloaded we succeeded and I headed here to set up shop protect my truck and myself in case it got brutal weather . The bartender says it's pretty bad right now , this is a great place family owned the father started it and then kids bought him out and change the name from grizzlies to what it is now. Thanks you guys.PS just an update Kenzie gives the perfect Chrch poor of beer. Did I even mention they have a basketball hoop by the front door? Lol what would Paul Harvey say about this place?“

He even said at one point, "We gotta stop!" We both had the walleye taco bowl. The fish was fresh and seasoned very well. It was the perfect portion size as well. We enjoyed the 80's music being played. There was a "buzz" in the restaurant of people meeting socially and a few people for business. We loved our waitress who gave us a list of other restaurants to try in the area. The only negative thing we have to say is that the mocktail sangria was overly tart and my blueberry mocktail was overpowered with fizz.“

“Heather's in Minneapolis is a favorite. It's that neighborhood joint everyone wants with great burgers, sandwiches, and salads, a great kids menu and twisty soft serve or cookies to keep the wee beings happy. But also that cozy date night spot with amazing daily specials and lovely grown up desserts on the patio. In practice, we usually order delivery (via Toast) and there's always a little tension between a dinner order (because THOSE SPECIALS!) or weekend brunch. We were able to do both today because they offered their daily special as part of their holiday brunch menu: lemon blueberry pancakes AND the ham special with asparagus and cheesy potatoes were both just amazing. ?Ordered pastries for week day breakfasts while I was at it but the delivery person missed the second bag or something. They made it right immediately - barely hung up the phone before the doorbell rang and a smiling, kind Heather's staffer was on my porch with a bag full of goodies. They just do EVERYTHING right.“

This casual eatery offers a quintessential dive bar experience with a straightforward, unpretentious vibe that focuses squarely on serving up delicious, hearty fare. The Jucy Lucy itself is the star of the menu—an ingenious burger with cheese melted inside the beef patty instead of on top, leading to a gooey core that’s both surprising and satisfying. Eating this burger is a must-try Minneapolis experience; just be cautious as the first bite can release hot, molten cheese. Matt’s rendition is often lauded for its perfect cheese-to-meat ratio and the flavorful beef patty that's seared to a crispy exterior. The setting at Matt's is typical of a traditional bar, with a cozy and somewhat nostalgic atmosphere that complements its simple yet satisfying menu. This beautifully restored horse stable turned restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance that set the tone for a remarkable evening. The menu, curated by Chef Gavin Kaysen, is a testament to his expertise and commitment to showcasing the best of Midwest ingredients with a French twist. We started with the foie gras terrine, which was rich and perfectly balanced, and it became an instant favorite at our table. For my main course, I chose the duck breast, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a side that complemented the duck without overshadowing it.What really made our meal unforgettable was not just the food but the service. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about their work. They recommended excellent wine pairings that elevated our dining experience. The dessert rounded off the evening on a high note, with creative and delightful options that were as beautiful to look at as they were to taste. “Absolutely loved the Camden Social. The owner was very professional and welcoming. Went there for Saturday brunch and they had a jazz band playing live music. Ordered the French toast, eggs, and sausage. The sausage was so well seasoned and full of flavor. And the French toast omg so good. Probably one of the best French toast I've had. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu. Thanks for a great experience.“

“Came here on a whim while we were walking around downtown Minneapolis. The service here is wonderful and shoutout to our waitress for being so awesome! It's a traditional style pub and walking in, we felt the chill and cool vibe and atmosphere. Plenty of seating around as well. We ordered the following: Soy garlic edamame: 8/10 - it was really good and salty from the soy! The edamame beans were steamed perfectly and provided that crisp pop when you bit into one. We would taste the garlic as well and it was very pleasant on the tongue. Mac and cheese: 8/10: I thought it would be the traditional noodles but it was penne style instead. It was rich, cheesy, creamy, and the pasta cooked al dente. It came with a toasted, buttered baguette slice. It was enough to feed two people and my coworker and I shared it. It was insanely good but I prefer the regular style mac and cheese noodles. To me, this was like a step above your average mac and cheese. Mexican corn dip - 9/10: do yourself a favor and get this as your appetizer! It tasted exactly like a warm elote! The flavors were outstanding and the added lime was the chef's kiss. it comes with fresh tortilla corn chips and when you first get a taste of the dip, you taste the richness of the Cotija cheese, and then follows the sweet corn and tangy lime juice and tajin. Then you end up with the slight spicy kick at the end. We all came to the consensus that this was our favorite item of the day! We finished every corn kernel. My other coworkers had a steak salad with blue cheese dressing and a slow roasted pull pork with tater tots. They both enjoyed their food as well. Prices were good for the portion size as well and our drinks were refilled and we were checked on regularly. Come try this place out! You won't be disappointment!“

“Kruse Market is wonderful! We enjoyed the Rainbow Bowl, What’s Wrong with Basic toast, Masala Chai Tea, and Blueberry Hills coffee. All were fantastic! A friend ordered the G.O.A.T. toast (on gluten-free bread) and let me take a nibble - divine! The retail side had a ton of great merch (those basil olives!!! *chef’s kiss!*) that we also stocked up on. And my family was pleasantly surprised to be the recipients of fresh takeout pastries and some Milkjam ice cream! We had such a fantastic time! There are ample outlets for the remote worker, and enough choices to satisfy all kinds of palates and dietary needs. I can’t wait to go back for dinner!“

Dinner

“This is the finest dining in Minneapolis, hands down. I went in February 2024 and everything was executed with meticulous care. Every single dish was perfectly balanced. There was nothing superfluous, nothing too heavy, nothing too acidic. The wine pairings were well thought out. Also, none of the staff forgot I was a pescatarian at any point. It was also the perfect amount of food. For the quality of the food the prices were extremely reasonable. I have been to most of the fine dining establishments in the Metro and don't think the others, like Travail or Spoon and Stable, which are amazing in their own right, can really compare to Tenant. This is where you bring a true foodie if you want to impress them.“

“We recently had dinner for 9 on a Friday night to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday and our godfather's 90th. We brought along a menu that we had from the 1960's to show staff . . . prices have changed, but not much else except the carpet, which is as it should be . . . quality is quality! As my Mom noted, we had a DINING experience; we were not just quickly and mindlessly served. Because of that, us younger-fold will be back to JAX to enjoy that experience. But for one night, the JAX staff and owners helped our parents and godfather celebrate old times and again enjoy a "night out on the town" they will not soon forget! For that, we THANK YOU, JAX Cafe!!!“

“My bestie and I needed some fuel after a day at the Canterbury Spring craft fair. We wanted to try somewhere new with variety. Nachos were on the mind. Stopped in around 5pm on Saturday. Parking lot and restaurant was packed. We arrived and were greeted right away. Asked if we had a reservation which we didn't, but were seated within 5 minutes. I was a little shocked as it's very rare to be seated that quickly with a reservation. Our waitress Emilee was so friendly and did a wonderful job. She brought our beverages right away. She checked in often as well. I ordered the smash burger and my bestie ordered the nachos and side of French fries with a side of garlic aioli sauce. Unfortunately, the French fries were not hot, so we asked for new ones. Smash burger was fantastic. Hot, juicy, and just yummy. My bestie said nachos and French fries (once the new ones came out) were good. Nacho portion was huge. Next time, ask for more meat and maybe not so much queso, but overall tasty. The dessert menu had both of our favorites- key lime pie and chocolate cake. Of course we had to order it, but we asked for it to go. Let me just tell you, I wish I would have ordered dessert to start. Chocolate cake was amazing (sorry, forgot to take a photo). So chocolatey and the frosting amount was perfect. Key lime pie was good too. It was like a whipped version which was tasty. During our visit the manager stopped over to ask how dinner was. You don't see that too often so that was nice. Restaurant was big. Seating is also available outside as well. I thought it was neat how there were umbrellas on the ceiling- unique. I'd like to come back and try the pizza and more chocolate cake.“

“One of my go-to places but I'm dropping a star because the last several times I've gone the kitchen has closed early because they're slow despite there being multiple patrons in the resturant still (not just the bar) so I've been having to call to make sure the kitchen is open still prior to going and even then they can't guarantee it will still be open by the time I get there which is a little frustrating. Otherwise great atmosphere, food, and drinks.“

“Picked up dinner through the second drive thru! I went around 5pm and it was overwhelmingly busy. I got in a very long line for the first drive thru until a worker asked if I was paying with cash or card. I said card. They then told me that there was no wait at the second drive thru window and I proceeded to leave the super long line and made my way to the second drive thru. But omg, there was no line! It was much faster than the first drive thru. Took my order at this little hut and instructed me to park in a selected number parking spot. I ordered a cheese burger kids meal. I didn't have to wait that long and definitely beat the first drive thru line. There were a couple of guys directing cars and making sure nobody but cars that ordered from the hut was able to park in the selected number of parking spots. That was pretty cool.Ordered: cheese burger with all toppings kids meal, crinkle fries, soda, and an order of onion rings. Everything was delicious.“
