“Our senior group of 12+ folks loved our food, ranging from chicken pot pie, salads, chicken chow mein, etc. All good. Prompt, (did I mention we were a crowd?!?) Service was excellent. Warm, casual atmosphere. Prices were decent too. Found out that Mondays are $5 martini days!!! Hmmm.Parking: Seemed like ample parking. I arrived at noon and the lot was almost full... almost!!“
“Food was excellent. My wife and I had an appetizer, which was very crunchy but light. I had the combo, which could have served both of us combined. Nice flavors and option for the amount of heat was appreciated. We did have a problem getting our bill, as our server either went on break or was doing other things and left us for 45 minutes. It was still very pleasant and my bet would be our check issue was uncommon. I do recommend!“
“This was THE PLACE to be yesterday with this gorgeous sunny weather. I have officially found my new favorite patio here at Hola Arepa! Not only was the patio space perfect for sitting in the sun, the food was also spectacular. Service was good, drinks were kept full and we were checked on often. The group I came with also brought their dog with too when we found out the patio was pup friendly. Our server even brought over some water for the dog too. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated and the parking situation is a bit tricky here, but all worth it for some fantastic food and drinks. Hola Arepa offers happy hour on Sundays from 4-close so we lucked out with that too! Drinks & Apps are included in the special, who doesn't love a good deal on some great food? What We Ordered: Chips & 3 Salsas (plus an additional to try them all for 50 cents more!) all of the salsas were flavorful and each one different but not too spicy. My favorite was the Hola, mild and sweet. Nachos Divorciados with Beef- lots of yummy layers of flavor, including some of the best candied jalepeños I've ever tried. Pao de Queijo- Brazilian cheesy bread bites with a delicious garlic & herb butter (a big hit with my son!) Kids Arepa with guacamole- so crispy on the outside but fluffy and filled with fresh guacamole, served with two big yuca fries I am honestly already planning our next trip back here over the summer. The vibes are immaculate and the food is superb.“
“The atmosphere was unexpectedly awesome. The perfect place to grab lunch and do an assignment on the couch. The music is always awesome too. I got the Thai Chicken Curry banh mi and it was delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and crispy. The staff was super helpful and nice. 10/10 all around!“
“Stopped in for lunch & tried the turkey pastrami sandwich. It was SO GOOD. Way better than a sandwich has any business being. I'd say it was the special dipping sauce (it kinda was), but also everything was super fresh. I'll be back to try some treats.“
“Pizza was good but lukewarm by the slice, deserts are phenomenal. Hand made and delicious. Classic place to visit anytime I'm in St.paul for sure. Just hope next time the pizza is hot and fresh, it's a shame that it wasn't. Love it always though.“
“Awesome sandwich, amazing value. I got the classic turkey, my picture doesn't do it justice, there was more meat than lettuce. Sandwich includes chips... I don't want to say it but I feel like he should raise his prices. Will definitely be back.“
“We had the best experience at Sato Sushi! Great service, wonderful sushi, and the fried Oreos with berry sauce for dessert were so delicious! Everything was beautifully plated, good portion size and we just loved it! We will definitely be back.“
“Oh good gravy, I can’t begin to explain how good their Ruben Sandwich is! Side salad also on par with what tastes like homemade dressing. The side of homemade chips is a surprise bonus of deliciousness.Second time grabbing take out from here and the flavor and quality are just solid!“
“Food was good and well priced. I got the lamb tagine while wife got the beef tagine. To me personally it could use more salt, they have salt packets so you can add if you need to. The cold salads was very yummy too. I just have to say the chef/ owner there was exceptional. He was super nice and kind. Service was great.“
“I enjoy trying deli sandwiches in different states and countries when I can. I was excited to try the sandwiches here, that is until I got my meal. I got the Newyorkino as it was something new to try. The taste was not bad but wasn't anything spectacular. The main problem is that this sandwich cost $12 to be the size that it was. It was the size of a regular sandwich made with sliced bread. Damn I feel duped for this. I also got a salad to complement the sandwich and I am disappointed with both size and flavor. Here, I opted for a blue cheese salad with candies pecans and apples. The dressing of comes with is extremely shower. You can get a full meal for the same price. I suggest skip the sandwich unless you can afford it.“
“My experience at Myriel was overall positive, and my biggest impression was that this establishment is built for dates because of the atmosphere. It is a small space that contains several 2-people tables, with pictures on the walls and a dark light vibe, and has a menu that changes everyday almost emulating a tasting experience. In some ways, the vibe and the unique dining setting may have overshadowed its food taste aspect.Since the menu would be different everyday, I will not make an effort in recommending a specific dish since whoever reads this may not be able to see the item anyway, but overall the food has small portion and can be easily seen as overpriced because one has to order a lot of food in order to be full, which is another reason why this place may be built better for dates rather than to satisfy cravings. But it does seem like the menu finds a good balance between appetizer, salad, legume, and meat entrées, so there is something for everyone, but once again, expect to walk out of there not entirely full. I also think the meat entrée I had, which was a confit duck and pork belly cassoulet, tasted a bit weird, almost like the different kinds of meat combined to create a weirdly meaty flavor. But everything else was good! The beet salad, lentils, dumpling, desserts, everything was good quality!Overall like I have mentioned, perfect place for dates and for two people to strike a conversation while slowly enjoying food which shouldn't be the biggest priority, but not where one would want to go to be full.“
“I'm under the impression that this place has only been open for a few weeks when we went to visit, I was blown away at how fast our food came out. It was under 10 minutes after we ordered, we had our food and drinks. The list of margarita flavors seemed never ending along and nice and strong. It's very relaxed, the music is good, and we could hear the kitchen staff chatting like they were brothers. It's a solid spot and we will be visiting again.“
“The food is great and the owner is really friendly! If you come you absolutely MUST get the sweet potato fries with their house made ranch - it's AMAZING.The pizza is also fantastic, and there are a lot of options to choose.Great atmosphere as well.“
“Came to Char Bar for the first time for happy hour on Saturday with Kim T. Char Bar is a speakeasy on the inside of Butcher & Boar (through the glass doors). We arrived around 4:45 pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too crazy busy, we were one of a handful of tables. The hour menu was pretty good! A good amount of food and drink items ranging between $6-10. I had the Chicken Sammy ($10), Kim had an Arby's style 3 Way Beef & Cheese sando ($17), and we split the Curly Fries ($6). I also ordered two of the non happy hour burgers to go ($8/each). I really liked my sandwich a lot, chicken was perfectly crispy, the slaw was savory and sweet, Polynesian vibes. I would absolutely get it again! Kim liked her sandwich but she said the sauce was too much and soaked the bottom of the bun, the curly fries were fine. I had a dragon tattoo cocktail, serenity pineapple rum cocktail, and a frozen rum & cherry coke slushy. Drinks were boozy but pricey! Loved the menu showing the drinks very cute and visibly pleasing. Update: Butcher Burger ($8) was sensational! It's no Parlour Bar burger but it's sooo good, tasted gourmet and traveled well. Fun fact: the restaurant group over Parlour Bar also owns Char Bar! I liked the pickled onions and the chipotle mayo cheese sauce, good solid burger for a good price!“
“Food: amazing food definitely recommend the falafel perfectly friedService: The man there was very nice to us and gave us free waters as well. Service was quick as wellAtmosphere: store was empty but was very cleanJust recommend either adding a little more meat to the mixed combos or lowering the price just a bit“
“We have tried the Grand Ave, Northeast MPLS, Roseville, and Eden prairie locations, and all are fantastic. They are consistent, fairly priced, and delicious. I chose to review the Grand Ave location because of the area - we stopped by Grand Ole Creamery afterwards, and had a great time there as well. Plenty of other places to visit on that streetEach location features plentiful parking, even the high-traffic locations of NE and Grand Ave. They are efficient with the ordering/cooking, and we choose to go here over Black Sheep & Pizza Luce every single timeI enjoy both styles they offer, but usually build my own. The focaccia is good too, but we normally just get pizzas. They freshly shave their parmesan cheese and offer bottles of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to take to your table, which we love“
“This wonderful little restaurant is everything you would want if you're Minnesotan Mom was running a restaurant just for you. All the classic comfort foods with amazing desserts. The amazing staff are warm and friendly and while efficient they were not running to get things done. Just moving about as if by design. I can hardly wait to visit again to have the Alfredo with some shrimp after already trying an amazing Flat Iron Steak.“
“In town visiting relatives and doing a few jobs for my National client, and found out about this place. Great atmosphere, pizza was great, crispy thin crust, just the right amount of toppings, true artisan pizza. We had several pies. I had pepperoni and kalamata olives, a white pizza, wife had anchovies (yuck), a sausage (homemade by the owner). As we waited I watched the owner make each pizza with great care. Will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“
“I'm from NJ, so I know what good NY style pizza is.I gotta say, there are places here in the Twin Cities metro that sell good, tasty pizza..but it's not necessarily true NY style pizza in terms of flavor, texture, thin light foldable crust. But Ginelli's ticks all the boxes. For me and my money THE BEST NYC style pizza in TCM is hands down Slice of NY on Nicollette.But.... Ginelli's is for darn sure a tight second. This is phenomenal pizza.“
“I've been a loyal customer at Smack Shack for years, and I can't believe I haven't left a review until now. This place deserves a solid five stars, not only for being an exceptional restaurant but also for making me feel like part of their family. The food at Smack Shack is absolutely phenomenal, especially their cheesecake, which I believe is the best in the state, if not the world. The customer service is top-notch, with everyone being incredibly kind and friendly. The cooks at Smack Shack are truly phenomenal, and I believe they have the best chef in town. I've celebrated my birthday there every year since I just turned 44, and it's always been a memorable experience. Even my grandson loves it there, as they are kid-friendly and even have a beautiful patio where you can bring your fur babies.I must also mention the amazing happy hour they offer. The lobster roll is a must-try, and their drinks are top-tier. If you haven't been to Smack Shack yet, I highly recommend you give it a try. And when you do, make sure to mention that Miss Washington sent you!#SmackShackLove #FiveStarExperience #FamilyLikeVibes"#Boom#1Love“
“Fresh salads, delicious filling and satisfying. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I prefer to order ahead on the app for takeoutKid-friendliness: There are options for smaller sized rice bowls for kids, but my children prefer the smoothies and acai bowls.“
“Pizza man has hands down been my favorite pizza place since childhood! Everything from the crust to the cheese and toppings is just amazing. Their cheese bread is the best cheese bread I’ve ever had. Everything is high quality and I’ve never been disappointed!“
“I ordered the chicken and shrimp carbonara and it was phenomenal. Their salads are pretty weak though consisting of lettuce mainly, couple slices of tomato and a handful of tiny carrot slivers. pretty decent portion sizes for the price as well.“
“Great food & service. Prices make it tough to frequent. They clearly did not have adequate servers, too bad, because it was busy for a late weekday lunch. Restrooms needed some attention, specifically the toilets & floors needed cleaning. Bad place to be full of germy material.Parking: Handicap parking is farther from the door than 20 plus parking spaces.“
“The variety of pizzas you can get at Punch is astounding. With combinations that I would have never have thought to try on my own. It is the only pizza place I've been to where the pizza manages to feel light and isn't even remotely bad on the stomach. The Vesuvio is a pretty good pizza! Give it a try!“
“THE BEST! Lamphai (maybe I'm spelling her name wrong) is the sweetest lady. She has run this restaurant on her own for 28 years and makes excellent food. She was so friendly and showed me all the herbs that she uses for her dishes. She piled my lunch buffet plate high with beef, chicken curry, pork, wontons, and rice, and checked in to make sure it wasn't too spicy and that I'd had enough rice. Stop by Taste of Thailand for great food and support this long running, woman-owned business!“
“Found this little gem thanks to DoorDash. We now order from here at least twice a month. We like the pineapple tofu red curry, red curry, and pad Thai. Food is excellent. Our only complaint is that the quantity varies from time to time - for example, sometimes, the rice container is only just half full. Same with the curries also. We still return because the food is simply that good.“
“5-stars isn’t a high enough rating..This place does not miss!! Absolutely love their pies especially well-done! We also love their Mac and Cheese! My wife and I drive from Burnsville to get Mavericks and the crisp on the crust holds up perfectly in the commute. This is our go-to spot for pizza!!“
“I've seen dagwoods recommended on quite a few pages so I made my way in when i had a weekday downtown. It is good, but not outstanding. Friendly counter staff. Quick enough. I just expect a lot out of an Italian sandwich and I've had better. But it's worth a stop“
“Our first time here... The food was great! All but 2 tables in the main section were full. Spicy selection from 0 to 5... we got a few 3's and a 2.Chicken Green Curry at 2 was great.Beef Red Curry ordered a 3 but seemed sweet and lighter in spice than the green Curry. The seafood salad 3 was goodAnd the chicken fried rice at 0 was tasty... with no spice at all.Egg rolls and Thai sausageThe price for 4 adults was $100 without tipParking: As it was put first time here we are not up on the parking... for us it was difficult.“
“I was quite impressed. I brought the kiddos to enjoy the playground and it was very clean. Employees frequently wiped off the tables. I even saw an employee picking up trash in the parking lot. I've never seen a fast food establishment care this much about cleanliness. The play area was fairly small and was very warm the day I visited but the kids had a blast.Parking: There is entirely too much parking available to be honest.Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it. Chicken nuggets were great.“
“Food was good, Mac and cheese was awesome. I ordered the 2 meat platter and prefered the pulled pork. I love a little more kick to my sauces. My only suggestion would be to turn up the heat on a new sauce. It's everything you want from a BBQ joint.“
“Fast and delicious food. Huge menu for everyone in the family. The staff are always friendly. We frequently dine at this location and leave full and happy each time.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian fajitas are fantastic! They also are super accommodating to my dairy intolerance which is hard at a Mexican restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Our kids love it there - the music, kids menu and quarter machines at the entrance for candy after dinner. And occasionally the claw machine.“
“Ok this is a great pizza joint. Located in the heart of NorthEast Minneapolis right across from Surdyk's Liquor & Cheese Shop Some of the best fast casual food in the Twin Cities. The staff is friendly and the service is great and the FOOD is top notch. Check it out.“
“I always had second thoughts on eating healthy when you are outside but this place is a ray of hope for every health conscious person who wants to eat fresh , yummy but healthy food. Crisp & green helps you choose your favorite ingredients and pick the best option for your meal, everything put on right in front of you , tossed to perfection. Best part is none of the drinks on the menu are unhealthy, so you just can’t make your salad unhealthy by adding a sugary drink ?“
“On Tuesday September 26th, my husband and I came here on a whim, actually we came here for a Tuesday T-Mobile deal that had just expired that day, but we decided to come and eat anyways. Blaze offered a Monday through Thursday lunch special DINE in only, one topping pizza, with pop, for $7.95. The coke was out as well as the Dr Pepper Fountain drink. Which was kind of sad. But that was an amazing deal. I have not been to Blaze Pizza in over 3 years. I would not pay more than $8 for a pizza alone. Looking at the menu a one topping pizza is $10 I believe. A cheese pizza alone is $8. And then adding a pop on top of that I think is $3. No way would I pay that without this deal. I'll definitely be back, but only for the lunch deal with a pop, for $8. Don't forget to sign up for the app so you can earn flaming points, towards a free pizza! Sorry I didn't take pictures of the whole pizza, I was starving! Oh and they don't use straws there, they have these one use Toppers on the one use cups, that are actually more enjoyable than a straw!Parking: Tons of available parking“
“Crisp & Green is the place to go in Dinkytown when you want something healthy, cheap, and fast. The staff at this location are always pretty cool, too. Be warned that parking sucks all around here and UMPD give out parking tickets left and right because they have nothing better to do.“
“My closest lunch option, this is my go-to about twice per week. I love the consistency of the salads. Their salad prep personnel are quite skilled. I've never had a bad bite of food. Excellent, quick service, every time. The Baker Center location often has a line out the door of their little shop, yet it never takes more than a few minutes to get through the queue. The seating area is always clean, if a bit cold and sterile, and seating is always available, what with everyone taking their salads to-go. One can also pre-order before 11 am online and skip the line. As to the salads, any of the Caesars are recommended, be it Classic, Buffalo Chicken or Buffalo Shrimp. (Kudos the Kale, Caesar! as a dad-joke variation.) Due to the proteins, the latter two are in the $13 - $15 range, but they pack a lot in the bowl. I have also enjoyed the Cowboy, the Farmer, the Caprese and once in a while mix in the Chinese Chicken. Wrap options are available, as well, as well as soup and chili, which I have eschewed. All in, this is about as good as assembly line food gets in Mpls. 3 or 4 other locations are scattered in the skyways. You'd have difficulty finding a better, faster lunch option than Green + the Grain.“
“I've tried a ton of different salads here and they're always good no matter what. I can't eat at Crisp & Green anymore because it doesn't even come close to how good the salads are here. They pack them so full and you always feel as though you got your moneys worth. Even though they are open limited hours and constantly busy, the service is super fast. Lots of space to dine inside if thats what you're looking for too.“
“The Rise and Grind (with coconut milk and cacoa nibs) is amazing! Life-changing. Also, I clumsily dropped my bowl on the ground and they gave me a new one, free of charge (even though I insisted to pay for the second).Super friendly staff, lots of natural light. Give it a try!“
“the food is excellent!. I love the amount of care the workers put in on everything they do, the cleanliness of the place is always phenomenal I personally always order the smoothies there and think they are great all the ingredients at crisp and green are truly just that crisp and green(clean food feeling)“
“I have been here a few times and always forget to leave a review lol. More recently I have been for my birthday , my sisters and just because friend date. Just so happens its always for brunch on Saturday so we always see the performers. The food is delicious , fresh and hot . The waiters are always great fun, funny too. The drinks honey amazing. Not watery either and they always have a new drink to try for the table depending on the time of year. Its always a good time a LUSH. Doing my 30th b-day there again in 2024. Make sure to bring cash for the performers they will read you if you don't, well the host will :)“
“I was reminded of this today, so I wanted to note that maybe 6-12 months ago, I ordered delivery from this location via a secondary delivery service and the driver brought completely the wrong order. I called the location to see if they could correct the issue with the driver and the manager - who had actually already realized the issue - told me to keep the food that had been accidentally delivered and then drove me my remade order herself. Way above and beyond the call of duty and great service!“
“My family and I finally gave Marco’s pizza (Blaine) a try a few weeks ago, and can’t stop ordering when we have a pizza craving or just want an easy night of no cooking for 4 kiddos. I love to give shout outs to those that are deserving, so thanks Marco’s pizza for making my life easier and for the amazing food! The pizza (hot honey) is our favorite! Thank you for all you do and for providing delicious food. Had to take a pic before diving in. We will be back. -Asher fam.“
“Never been in here before. Chose it from Google maps, because it was pizza and new for us. I was relieved to see adequate paid parking spaces on the street. We ordered 3 different pizzas, and pesto cheesy bread. Everything there is nut free, so pesto it is!! They even have gluten and dairy free crusts and toppings! WOW! They were quickly made for fresh food. Like the perfect alternative to Subway, if you want pizza instead!Clean dining area, open space. Quiet at the moment. We definitely missed the lunch crowd. Yay!“
“I love it Somali food in general yes the portions are huge but I'm Somali and it's really common to have portions that huge the hot sauce is really good for the average person it's really spicy but I have Somali blood in me I can handle it I love Sam USA but putting fish in it and not making it spicy should be illegal if you're vegetarian almost everything has meat in it but overall it's amazing“
“Middle Eastern fast food? Sign me up!I really appreciated the ingredients used in their food. All of it tasted fresh and flavorful. Very happy to have discovered this place. ?Wheelchair accessibility: Wide-open, single-level restaurant in a downtown office building. Access is safe and easy, and exterior entrances are kept clear of snow and debris.“
“Sitting in a museum, getting some writing done, drinking a bright IPA on tap with the smell of fresh coffee all around?Yes please.Fair prices, great happy hour, a well run ship in the midst of an incredible museum. One of the best study spots in the city. Now all they need is a panini maker to warm up their sandwiches and it’ll be a warm toasty, beer tasty, Art watchy wünderhaus.“
“I can't believe Ive lived a few doors down from this gem and never tried their food until tonight! It was absolutely outstanding! We ordered southwest burgers and they were so juicy and obviously made fresh to order. We will be going back to try more things! Highly recommend!“
