“Got take out, strawberry shortcake and blueberry lemon. Waited 15 min to place order and another 45 min to receive. They were pretty good but feel it’s more for the photos than the taste. Pancakes were more dense than expected. Cute and trendy but small inside. Everyone was super kind and transparent about wait times.“

“It was okay…. Kinda disappointed with the lack of friendliness from staff. I came in just to get a coffee with my 2 year old. We didn’t attempt to see the cats or anything- I knew she was too little. Just looked in the windows while we waited. One employee completely ignored us. The one behind the counter did the bare minimum…. My coffee took a LONG time and we were the only ones in the store. We left right away. Again I did NOT let my toddler run rampant. She was very well behaved. Coffee wasn’t very hot. I’d still recommend if you were going for the cats. But unfortunately not for much else“

“Wonderful spot close to Mississippi Market in St. Paul. There is a beautiful small park (when weather permits) to sit outside. The building itself is old and very Swedish even though the history of Swede Hollow is long-past, lots of "hygge" inside (yes I know it's Danish but they did own the country, kinda). A few tables downstairs, one cozy one on the mezzanine, 6-7 upstairs and a neat "conference room" with a very comfy cozy reading armchair. Coffee really good (Americano, Cubano), great selection, had a studenty-feel, but we are close to MSU. The food looked very good. One of my new favourite "Third Places"“

“Key's doesn't just have incredible food but they make fantastic cakes. Their chocolate house cake it to die for. They did an incredible job matching the invitation and theme for my sister-in-law's baby shower cake! The spinach salad with warm bacon dressing it one of my favorites.“

Note to other patrons:
Bringing a large group to breakfast on the busiest day of the week? Call ahead and reserve a table. Panicking the high school age hostess because you brought a group of 11, which was shortly followed by a group of 6, to a popular busy breakfast place and didn’t plan ahead… not their fault. Being seated after 1-top and 2-tops… normal. They only have so many big tables. Don’t flip out at the young girl trying to find you a table because someone eating by themselves was seated before your entire group had a free table. Accept YOUR bad planning and wait til they can accommodate you.

To the girls who were hosting and seating today:
I’m appalled by the way I watched these people treat you. You did everything right, and if they complain later about it, I hope your bosses see this comment!“

“This Caribou, in particular, has THE MOST ELITE staff. They are extremely outgoing, they anticipate needs of customers, they are friendly, masterfully managed and they remember you. “Wow! We just had breakfast at the Uptowner; this place is our new favorite for many reasons! Everything we ordered: pancakes, omelets, eggs benne and hash browns were some of the best we’ve ever had served to us. Our server was also so genuinely kind and attentive! “I had a good experience, but a few things I wanted to note. The wait time can be quite long at times, but the staff were nice. The bathroom situation is kind of awkward here. It’s right in the middle of the seating area and it’s really hard to tell with the electronic lock if it is actually locked and people waiting can’t tell if it’s locked or not. I have seen a few times people have opened it up with someone inside and cause them some shock. A generic lock would probably be better“

“Always a little bit busy. But it's because the Coffee is the best Around. I ordered online and mistakenly got another task to quickly finish. Ended up taking A lot longer than expected. Oops. My fault. But order was ready right away.

“Just moved to the neighborhood and this place is incredible. The folks are super friendly and everything has been delicious. The first time we went, we sat in the dining room and they have a back room with a table of billardettes. It was super cool to see folks playing and learn how it works. My partner is Eritrean and the Awaze Tibbs and a veggie platter were a smash hit. Since then, we've had cheese steaks and espresso drinks. Both were delicious. They roast their own coffee beans and even sold us some. We are also looking forward to the upcoming Eritrean community events they have advertised. Only critique is the bathroom could use some love. It doubles as a storage closet/shower full of cleaning supplies.“

“I got some breakfast here before my appointment at M Health Fairview and it was pretty decent! In particular, all the staff were really nice and friendly. “Less of a coffee shop and more of a hangout place for Christians they only take donations and you don't have to pay anything for what you order, it takes a bit to get your drink but it's very good. I'm not religious personally but I find it very relaxing to just come in and study, work it just mess around on my phone. Don't come here thinking it's just a coffee shop, all the workers at least when I've been here have been very kind.“

“This is not my normal Caribou I stop at; only once in a while do we stop at this location. We always receive great service. Fast, courteous, and the order is ALWAYS correct! This time, I forgot to order my kiddo's cake pop and the barista added it to the order with no problem when we got to the drive thru window! She did not make me feel it was a hassle adding it last minute even though they were busy! Thank you ?“
