Instead of nickels, you may need to pull together a few dollars, but it still has the feeling of an old school ice cream spot. “We visited this charming (looked like family owned) ice cream shop for the first time, and it was well worth the 25-minute drive! We came across it on fb and just had to try them out. They have so many flavors to choose from. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The outdoor play area for kids and comfortable outdoor seating were perfect for a relaxed family outing. “If you're looking for a great ice cream shop with tons of flavors and ginormous portions, look no further! I only made the mistake once of getting a single. Kiddie size is more than enough ice cream, trust me. Their kiddie size is probably bigger than anything you could get elsewhere. They even let you choose 2 flavors. You can choose between cup or cone, but we always go cup just to avoid the dripping cone. There's a small seating area inside and a nice sized patio out front. It's a bit of a drive for us, but we get there at least once a year.“

“I'm giving 4 stars because I want this review to get attention. I like this place a lot, but the amount of times I get food I didn't order is concerning. Now I'm afraid to go back for fear I'll get something I can't even eat, then they have to make it again and waste food. The food is too expensive for this to keep happening.

Other than that, as I said, this place is good, the food is good. The staff is always nice and I know they would be amenable when there is an issue with the food, but this happens so often I fear it wouldn't stop even if I did say something. I know it's not malicious or anything and sometimes things get mixed up. But it's happened so many times I felt compelled to leave this review in the hopes management sees it and takes steps to be more cognizant of what the customers are ordering and what they are giving them. I'm not sure what the intention is behind this, if any. I just don't want to waste food.“

“Best Dairy Queen in Saint Paul and surrounding cities. The banana splits are cheap and pretty big for what you pay. Workers are friendly, and this is owned by a nice couple. Only 4 stars because area is not great. They close early now at 8pm. Go when it's light out. Also, they accept tips. I tipped two bucks because these young workers deserve it. Grew up in the area and love that they're still open.“
