“Great place to stop by for an ice cream! Tons of soft serve choices which is my favorite and somewhat hard to find a dedicated place for it. I've had a couple varieties but honestly I'm a sucker for pistachio soft serve and this is one of the few places around that has it!

The staff is friendly and works through the line quick enough. It's not really a place you can come and sit down to eat although there's a couple picnic tables nearby that you can eat at if you want.

I haven't tried anything but their ice cream yet, but based on their ice cream I'm sure it's delicious! I'll make sure to update my review if I ever do!“

“All the ice cream things you would expect from a place shaped like an old dairy queen but add DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD and AMAZING espresso drinks. Tasty burgers, chicken strips and fries. Then tamales, in a few varieties including oaxaca! Icecream cakes, flurries, churros, tacos, espresso, friendly fast service. Great for kids!

“Today 4-20-2025 I went to this location two young girls were working around 1:30 pm and I order a small Oreo Blizzard but was charged for a Medium size instead. I come here for weeks now and I know how much for the small and it’s 4.69. and not 5.15. Any ways update: 4-22-2025 around 2pm went to this location and told them about this small incident and younger lady cashier she apologized and So I bought a medium sized Oreo blizzard and got a upgraded to large to balanced it off. “We are frequent customers of Nelson’s storefront in St Paul (Highland Park) and we decided to have them cater dessert at our wedding. It was a big hit with our guests! We had two scoopers who kept the line for ice cream moving quickly. While we wanted to include waffle cones after we signed our contract and paid for them after the fact, they did not make it to the venue. Our contact Abby made it right and refunded that portion as well as some extra for the inconvenience. We will be back when they open back up in the summer!“

“Very welcoming workers, delicious foods, and good portions for the price! Brought my friends here after dinner for my birthday. The owner was sweet enough to pay for my dessert. We also tried the game that they have to get a free popsicle and one of friends won. They also gave us free samples afterward because they were doing content.“

“I debated leaving this review, but I think others might feel the same. I’m giving 4 stars because I don’t want to tank the overall rating but honestly, that doesn't reflect my personal experience or that of my friends.

Charging $5 for a single cookie just feels... off. Even accounting for overhead, the actual cost to make one cookie is way* less than $5. That kind of markup feels excessive- especially right now, when so many of us are being nickel-and-dimed from every direction.

I was genuinely excited to have a cookie shop nearby to satisfy those “I just want one good chocolate chip cookie” cravings. But at $5 each, the cookie would need to be exceptional. Instead, it tasted more like something factory-made than homemade, and my friends and I even wondered if they’re baked in-house at all.
Disappointing, to say the least. A more reasonable price could turn this place into a local gem. Right now, it just feels like a missed opportunity.“

The employees always have a smile on their faces, and the one time a mistake was made on my order, not only did they fix it, they offered me a refund for having to wait a few minutes for them to correct it.
