“My wife and I went to Bricksworth Beer Co. for the first time early this Saturday afternoon. The weather was beautiful, so we sat out on the patio. It took a sort while to get approached by a server, even though there were only 4 others on the patio. Eventually I ordered their stout, and my wife ordered a soda. After the drinks came the server noticed us again later and asked if we wanted to order food. Other people started arriving elsewhere on the patio. We noticed a total of 16 people, and 2 servers. After ordering food, the food was delivered, the server asked if everything looked good, and left. That’s the last time we saw her. My wife intended to order a cocktail, as did I, BUT by the time our server stopped socializing with everyone on the patio, we had finished our food and were ready to leave. We asked for the check. It’s amazing what a bad impression poor service can leave on a first visit, even if the food is actually tasty. We might go back, but we’ll sit at the bar next time to see if the bartender cares about us.“

“Delicious wood fire pizza. Perfect ratio of cheese, sauce (homemade!) and flavorful toppings. A thin but soft crust. Service was quick and everything was fresh andready as the text alerted indicated. It's a take out only somewhat rustic-hipster joint though there are some picnic benches outside. Would recommend!“

Shortly after, the owner comes over and offers us a free pizza—which was pretty awesome in itself. But what really pulled on my heartstrings was listening to him describe the amount of thought and heart he puts into the food. He explained the exceptional process he uses to create gut-healthy bread, sauces made fresh daily, and other natural ingredients—without all the processing we’ve grown to hate. I told him it felt like the scene from Ratatouille where the mouse combines all the flavors and everything bursts into color. It really was that good. You can taste the quality in every bite. “We stopped in search of some great pizza prior to attending an event at TCO stadium. Everything was incredible. The prices oint is perfect, it was like 30 dollars to feed a family of four. That was including tip. 1000% would recommend this to anyone and would go back again.

“One of the best pizza places around! They always have great food. My sister and I went on a Friday evening, which we knew would be busy. We arrived at our designated time only to find out that they were behind on orders. The first thing I noticed was how hard your employees were working. They looked so overwhelmed and stressed out, but we’re still able to give us great customer service. I saw the order receipts flowing in by the bunches to the point they had to put them in a huge pile on the countertop. Please limit how many people can order per time slot online. Your employees are working so hard for indoor dining as it is.“

“An absolutely incredible dining experience

Sanjusan was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Minneapolis. We went as a group and decided to order almost one of everything on the menu so we could all try as much as possible, and honestly, I don’t think there was a single dish that disappointed.

The Japanese-Italian combination sounds unusual at first, but it works unbelievably well. Every dish had its own unique flavors and textures, and it was so much fun having the entire table try everything together. The small plates, yakitori, pasta, and pizzas were all fantastic.

The Isaac Becker pizza was one of the biggest surprises for me, and the Mentaiko Lumache was another standout. The Hiramasa crudo, pork gyoza, duck tataki, and yakitori were all incredible as well. Even after ordering that much food, we kept finding ourselves saying, “We have to try that too.”

The staff were just as impressive as the food. Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited to walk us through the menu. With a menu this creative, having staff who can actually explain the dishes and make recommendations makes a huge difference.

The atmosphere is fantastic too. It’s stylish, intimate, energetic, and just feels like a place where you’re supposed to sit around with friends, order a bunch of things, and enjoy the entire experience rather than rush through dinner.

Sanjusan absolutely exceeded my expectations. The food is creative without being gimmicky, the service is outstanding, and ordering almost the entire menu with a group turned dinner into an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Easy 5 stars. One of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Minneapolis and a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for something truly unique.“

“I took my friend Jim here for his birthday dinner and cocktails. I have been here before for pizza but not for some time. It was good. This was a special occasion and I wanted quality food and drinks along with great service and atmosphere! Lynette has just that!
It is such a lovely location and atmosphere. Jim's Manhattan was over the top awsome. My gin and tonic excellent. Jim had the bolenese, which I tasted and it was very good. But the brazed rib was EXCELLENT. The owner is experienced in the preparation of fine foods. It was a bit spendy and it is an a la carte menu but worth it.
Our server, Tiera, (sorry if spelled wrong), was wonderful! Jim and I had a lovely time.

“The mango habanero wings at Carbone's are the reason I keep coming back. Sweet on the front end with real habanero heat on the finish, crispy skin, and just enough sauce to coat them without going soggy. They're listed under appetizers but they eat like a full meal. I've ordered them as my whole dinner more than once with zero regrets. Get the house made ranch on the side to take the edge off the heat. The pizza is excellent, but do not sleep on these wings.“

“HEADS UP VEGETARIANS!!! If you order a plain cheese pizza with wild rice on it, or a "hog in the bog with no sausage", the wild rice still has sausage mixed in. I have no idea why. It's not indicated as such on the website and several employees *do not know* that the wild rice comes with sausage mixed in and cannot be included separately as vegetarian. This is my one and only complaint and it breaks my heart because everything else is awesome but this lack of communication around seemingly vegetarian-safe ingredients is quite frankly a health risk.“

There’s plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor seating in the front. The service was fast and friendly and the bathrooms were clean.
