Dairy Queen in Minneapolis

“It's a good-old-fasioned DQ with outdoor seating only. They do a nice job of hiring and training their young staff to be friendly and attentive. I stop by at least a couple times a month during their long season (March-October at least) and always look forward to a good experience. Nice co-customers, too!

Parking: Parking is like, RIGHT there.

Kid-friendliness: If anybody spills, no problem -- it's all outside!“

“This DQ is the quintessential neighborhood ice cream counter. This place is like a neighborhood community center that also happens to have delicious ice cream. Staff are always friendly and casual, when when it is really busy like on weekends when there are events at Powderhorn.

This DQ is perfect and I hope it is just the way it is forever and ever.“

Also, FYI – they stop serving food a bit before they actually close.

➕ There is a nice outdoor seating area at this location of and a good amount of free parking availability in their private lot. Just by chance we visited on a day they were doing a charity fundraiser where a portion of their proceeds was donated to a good cause, so it's nice that this business participates in these types of events.“

“Gabby who works here gave excellent customer service. She went above and beyond helping with an issue we had. She was very friendly, polite, and professional. It’s very difficult to find employees that give such great customer service and I hope her management knows what a valuable employee they have working here.“

“Omg I moved to Minneapolis over 2 years ago and thought there were no DQs for me...then while meandering in the Skyway I found this place!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!
I immediately got a smoothie and their pretzels with cheese, perfect post school snack! The dude behind the counter was incredibly friendly and in my hangry state I almost chose an Orange Julius over a smoothie but he kindly explained the difference.
I will be coming here regularly because DQ is the greatest and also the workers are nice. Yay!!!!!“

“Love the brick old fashioned style of this Dairy Queen, small store with nice outdoor seating under the shade of a large tree made for an enjoyable experience. Blizzards were delivered promptly by friendly staff and were delicious. Overall felt my visit was well worth while!

Parking: Roughly four free parking spots on location.“
