“This review won't inform potential future diners because we ate there on Young Joni's final night of service, Sept. 12, 2025. Fantastic meal and ambiance. We arrived for our 4 pm reservation, first of the evening, and Ann Kim walked the 50 or so people-long waiting line thanking us for coming. It was a heartfelt greeting and the beginning of a very special meal. The pizza's were outstanding - with chewy, wood-fired crusts. My wife had the Old Reliable, a simple marinara pizza, and I had the La Parisienne, which was prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula and a tasty pickled mustard seed compote. We also shared an appetizer of chicken wings. Plenty of food for the two of us, but we indulged in two wonderful desserts as well: Dad's Favorite Carrot Cake - a ginger-spiced, rich version of the old classic - and a fruit crisp with a unique combination of peach and blueberry. The wait staff was very attentive, especially given the emotion and fanfare of a closing night. Thank you Ann Kim and your wonderful staff for a great 10 years at Young Joni and we'll see you soon at Pizza Lola...and more!“

“I have been coming to this north loop location for the last decade or so, and every time has been a very enjoyable experience that I have always been happy to share with friends and family over the years. Place has a very unique vibe to it that brings a nice atmosphere to this pizza shop, the food over the years has always been superb, and has always stayed up to date with pizza trends (ex. Hot Honey!) - servers here are always the best and will ensure that any problems that arise are promptly resolved to your satisfaction!

“We had a large party and were seated upstairs. It was over 90° outside and very hot in the area. Fans didn't help much. We were given water but had to finally ask for ice. The food was delicious and the staff were very cordial, helpful and accommodating.“

“My favorite pizza in the Cities. I usually stick with the Old Reliable because it's a fantastic classic, and their seasonal vegetable and/or the cauliflower. The budino is delightfully chocolatey, rich and not too sweet. Staff are friendly and efficient, and it's fun to sit at the bar to see the food get made. The patio is also very cute, especially at night.“

Loved the casual atmosphere outdoors with some shade to sit—you can’t dine in essentially as all seating is outdoors which myself and coworkers appreciated .A nice lunch break from the typical work environment. “Amazing. Just go and you won’t regret it! Was a little skeptical about the Italian/Japanese fusion aspect, but everything we had was VERY good. I’m kicking myself for not remembering our servers name, but medium length red hair and beard. Knew everything about the menu, ingredients, cocktails, etc. One of the best servers I’ve ever gone on an experience with. Fantastic all around. Super fun culinary journey. Thanks team!!“

“We've been to Lynette a few times now and always leave happy. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The restaurant is kid-friendly but it's also a great date night spot. A few standouts for us have been the pizzas, carrots, hummus, dry rub wings, fries, and the apple crisp, which was one of the best desserts we've had in recent memory.“

“Love their thin crust pizza. My favorite is the Bianca and sometimes I'll get the marghuerita pizza. Their beet salad is pretty good as well. Great service and the dining room can get loud when it's busy since it's very small with only about 10 small tables.“

“My wife and I have been to La Mesa a handful of times and have never been disappointed( including our second date, its a great date spot). La mesa is a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood with a great outdoor space in the summer. In my opinion, they have some of the best pizza in the city The corn pizza is my favorite and the weekly special last week was slow roasted pork and chimichurri sauce which was delicious. Great place, good service, and nice atmosphere and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun date night or something different than a bar and grill. I just recommend to a co worker and she really enjoyed it!“

“This was our first experience at Tono and we were pleasantly surprise:) the large Caesar salad was enough for 3 of us and we had some left over still. The cheesecake was as big as my head, definitely going to have leftovers. The truffle fries were tasty and the pizza was pretty good too. The Spicy Tono and the regular pepperoni pizza look pretty much the same but the taste was the tell. The spicy is less spicy than you’d expect. The price wasn’t too bad either. Our family of 4 ate for around $80 bucks. The volume inside the restaurant was rather loud and busy… it was during peak hours soooo they get a pass on that“

“We’re from out of town and we come up here every year cuz the food (not just the pizza) is SO good. Great atmosphere, the beer selection rocks, and everything I’ve tried on the menu is fantastic. Dan was our server again this year and he gave us phenomenal service. Can’t wait to come back again!“

“To be fair, I only had pizza, and the menu was quite expansive. That being said, the pizza was stellar! I got the Kiss My Pizza--excellent. Everything else on the menu looked solid, as did the specials (I'm a sucker for pesto pasta, but I'll save that for another trip!).
The service was hit-and-miss... The staff overall seemed friendly and helpful, but our server was rather rude and aggressive in her tone; my dad could have been kinder in his tone too--but he's not an employee.
The interior of the space is really well-curated and decorated, but it was also incredibly loud. It was difficult to have a conversation right next to each other. We moved outside, and it was much nicer. The patio is not very big (the chairs are, however, and that made it extra tight), but it was still nice.
With so many pizza places nearby, I can see why they have such an expansive menu--just trying to compete. At the same time, when you do pizza really well, stick with that!“

“I absolutely love pizza luce, the pizza is sincerely delicious and very reasonably priced, the staff is more than courteous, they are down right amazing.
I missed my transfer on the greyhound, and they were sympathetic and kind , hospitable and incredibly courteous. Its a shame i dont live in minneapolis, id hit up pizza luce at least 3 times a week if not more.“

Food: Gorgeous/amazing presentation , fresh, hot, professionally packed. I ordered from Red Rabbit in Saint Paul for my work holiday party. Everyone LOVED the food and the portions are generous.
