I ordered a magnum large pepperoni pizza from Uptown Pizza. The sauce is pretty good with a little bit of spice, it was very light on cheese compared to the the last time I ordered and my pizza was overcooked. So, I ate a few pieces before I posted. This is some of the best pizza around the Lake Street area. There are no tables in the restaurant, but there are plenty of shops in the area to check out while you wait for your pizza to get done. It's worth the wait, and it tastes great! It's also reasonably priced, and the service is nice. Get a little grab and go.

I turned up for a slice around 12:15 on a Monday. I saw a sign out front offering a lunch combo for $6.50. Sure enough, you can get a slice, 4 garlic knots, and a 12-oz. soda can for $6.50 here. The knots have a great texture and are seasoned with a subtly garlicky butter sauce. The pizza slice is generous, NY style, foldable. The cheese-sauce-crust ratio is delicately balanced.
