“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. “The point of this place is to get drunk and socialize, and you can absolutely accomplish that here. They've ruined the atmosphere with the stage they added a few years back for bands. I know the intention was good, but bands could fit a smaller footprint without the stage, and it's a single room that absolutely does not need elevation. We played there for years, and having room for people to dance made the experience wonderful. Those days are gone.“

I tipped him $30 and then the manager yelled at me for shorting the tab. $50 in cash had gone missing from the table as the Excelsior Man giggled at me. I tipped him $30 more and left. Don't go to Moe's Char House!“

I had the Thai pork chop meal... the pork chop was cooked to perfection and the cauliflower fried rice vegetables were delicious. My friend had the salmon and said it was fabulous. For dessert we tried the cheesecake brûlée. An added bonus it is gluten free. My only complaint is that we were seated by the door and every time it opened it got very cold.“

“I have been to Pub 42 many times either by myself or with a party up adds of 6 people. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. We have had the pleasure of having Riley and Iza as our servers on many occasions and I can’t stress how kind and accommodating both of them are, I have celiac disease and they are knowledgeable about the ingredients and the process of the food so that I am safe when eating there. Including the double checking and making sure that my food is gluten free, and with very limited chance of cross contamination. Both do a great job of making sure the food is good and arrives at an appropriate time, while being friendly and kind and connecting with us as patrons. I would recommend pub 42 to anyone and everyone and tell them to request being seated in either Riley or Iza’s section to guarantee them the best of service available.“

Cheese curds are lightly battered and lightly fried. Perfectly melted cheese inside. Very nicely done.

The fries came out hot and fresh. The bread freshly toasted. The Turkey on my BLT was tender and juicy and the bacon added the perfect hint of smoke... like a BLT should. I was very pleased I stopped in. I hear they have some great game-day specials as well. Stop by and check them out.“

“My mom and I stopped in for lunch and we were greeted immediately and chose a table to sit at. I chose their spiciest burger (the name escapes me) and my mom chose the pepperoni pizza. Both were delicious, but if you don't like things too spicy, ask them to put the spicy sauce on the side for your burger. It was a lot of heat, but still so good! Atmosphere was calm and relatively quiet as there were only a few customers at the bar and surrounding tables during our visit. Our server was also bartending, and he was very attentive. I'd definitely stop back in whenever I happen to be on that side of the cities!“

“I didn’t think I was hungry, until I saw the menu, then I ordered a lot! The beet salad, shown on the website, is as delicious as colorful. The ahi tuna salad was a highlight, with a medley of great sauces and prime tuna, plus the chopped up nuts. I also had the blackened fish taco, but asked for the corn tortillas (my preference). The tacos were a great combo of ingredients, although the rice and red beans weren’t noteworthy. But the tomato basil soup was! Since it was billed as a homemade dish, I tried it and it was a touch chunky (in a honest way) and certainly flavorful enough for me to get a cup to go. I look forward to going back next trip in town (I live in Philadelphia).“
