“Don’t even bother looking for a better pizzeria in the area, it doesn’t exist. Nino’s has outstanding pizzas reasonably priced and they’re GENEROUS with the cheese and toppings. A medium will feed a family of 4 easily and a large will feed the Golden Gophers Offensive line. Nice people, great pizza made FAST and it won’t break the bank. 5 STARS Nino’s. “I wasn't quite satisfied with the individual slices I ordered for lunch. The toppings and the sauce/cheese were good but those are the main positives. The slices were paper thin and floppy, but the crust was cooked to a crisp, making it impossible to fold the pizza. I tried to hold it with both hands but the size was too big so I had to resort to cutting it into smaller pieces. The food was expensive but despite the large slices the actual pizza was not very substantial. The atmosphere and the people were nice but I was not impressed by the food itself. Perhaps this is only an issue with by the slice orders since most other pizzas pictured in the reviews seem to be far more substantial.“

“HEADS UP VEGETARIANS!!! If you order a plain cheese pizza with wild rice on it, or a "hog in the bog with no sausage", the wild rice still has sausage mixed in. I have no idea why. It's not indicated as such on the website and several employees *do not know* that the wild rice comes with sausage mixed in and cannot be included separately as vegetarian. This is my one and only complaint and it breaks my heart because everything else is awesome but this lack of communication around seemingly vegetarian-safe ingredients is quite frankly a health risk.“

“Second day gluten free tried Minnesota thin crust with sausage and pineapple. And a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. The pizza was so good. Just as good as Ronallys or Savoy. The cookie was amazing too. Warm crispy on the outside and soft inside. I had no idea gluten free could be just as tasty as wheat based pizza and cookies.

“We like Papa Murphy's because it is easy to customize our pizzas, and the pizzas are delicious. The location is easy to get to and we can always park near by.

“Low key, laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Staff is friendly, though there are few staff. We have gone there numerous times. Pretty good food. This was our 1st time not ordering a pizza. Salad was good. Meatball sandwich was not bad but not great. We enjoy coming here. Older crowd with fun music, meat raffle and Bingo nights.

Since the remodel they have a ton of open seating as well as outdoor seating. You can also pick up delicious desserts in the patisserie and groceries before you leave. Bonus, on the second level there are lots of incredible photos of the original cosettas and the West 7th area throughout the decades.“

“It was Easter and pouring rain but it was so nice and cozy with the fireplace inside. We ordered a Caesar salad and a spinach salad to start and both were delicious. We chose the Woodfired NY strip steak with house made steak sauce and the tenderloin with compound butter. Both were cooked to perfection and were so tasty. The house made steak sauce was exceptional. Service was wonderful and we will definitely go back.“

There are some decent spots until I discovered Rocco's. Most people in Chicago eat thin or a medium crust. Yes deep dish pizza is eaten too but not as the go too. Rocco's thin crust is best pizza that I have had and definably a true Chicago pizza. I believe its the sauce which brings me back to my roots. Please try it and you wont be disappointed. Rocco's is outstanding. 2 last notes. I did not rate atmosphere because it is take out place. Last they list a Chicago style pizza which sounds very different. I was told it has the sauce on top of cheese. So it must be deep dish but the menu has both listed on the menu. So I do not want to confuse anyone. I am highly recommending just the standard thin crust which really tastes like how a Chicago pizza should be. Yummy!!!! It's a solid TEN.“
