“Their burger is my #1. But I'm here to compliment the philly. It is the best philly I've had in MN. The beef is seasoned perfectly, but the bread is really what sets it apart. it's kind of like a garlic bread without all the garlic and butter, yet it is perfect! “I ordered pork belly pad kra paw and Tom yum noodles soup. I love the tom yum noodle soup. It has a unique taste to it while the pork belly pad kra paw needs to seasoning their pork belly a little more. Only the veggie has the full flavor while pork belly just taste like regular pork belly with no basil flavor to it.“

“Adding this as an uber eats delivery: we went to Jamaica 12 years ago and have not found jerk chicken here the same. This is it. It’s spice and flavorful and juicy chicken on top of the rice and beans just slaps. Large portions. YUM. Seriously try this. We will be coming again and again.“

staff is very friendly and always quick with orders never have to wait no more than 10 mins
i always get the full slab of pork or beef ribs (in the photo its the pork slab) and side of large jojo's (soo yummy i love the potatoes, you can get them covered in sauce or ask for the sauce on the side for more control)
i just wanted to post my review to squash the recent negative ones, i paid $36 and i think the ribs were pretty dang meaty, and the flavor was amazing very tangy smokey and delicious!
they are a local gem in my opinion“

“We had Old Southern Bbq cater for our wedding and it was absolutely an amazingly positive experience! The director of catering, Amy, was so helpful and on top of everything. The catering team was absolutely wonderful! All of our guests ranted and raved about the food all night, especially the potato salad and the cornbread muffin tops. Would definitely recommend!“

“Our first visit here and 8t was really nice. Jason our waiter was very attentive and helpful. The only complaint I have is the cooker. It was not very hot and we had to keep asking for them to turn the heat up. Otherwise great experience, loved the food, and we will try the hot pot next. We just ate Korean BBQ.“

“I've been going this place for a few years now and they never disappoint the food's good the service is excellent they don't take all day to make your food and they give you a drink as well definitely spend your time going down to Minneapolis to check out this restaurant just because it's on the South Side it doesn't mean you're going to get shot or ride is it going to have it to you it's actually a place of peace and people try to come back together after the history of that area“

“Charley Cat Chicken is now apparently Mallard's. It was quite good even though distinctly different from what I was expecting. I had the Korean meatball appetizer, followed up by the jambalaya. Big flavors. Did NOT disappoint!
