“Great food, reasonable prices. waitress was amazing. you really need to update your bathrooms. We had a friend with who had open heart surgery and artificial knees. your toilets are not even standard height. more like a squatty potty. She had to rock to try to stand up, you have no safety bars or handicapped toilets!!!“

The menu is limited which is perfect for me, but also means they have worked to one the dishes on it. We split a burger after having the brussle sprouts and poutine. This was an amazing combo and the portions were generous! I would come here again and again, not for just the food but the service as well. We had made a reservation for a later time, but got there earlier. They were able to get us sat in Lora’s section. Lora was truly amazing and made the dinner that much better. Here recommendations were amazing and she was just so kind. Great conversation and truly made the dinner the much better.“

“We’ve had 2 pregames here and had excellent food and service both times. Their fried pickle chips are awesome, wings great even sauceless (got dipping sauces on side), walleye fries were great, the only thing we were so so on were the nachos. Fake cheese was blah but otherwise all good! Service excellent, drinks cold.“

“My friends had told me I have to try the coneys at the Gopher Bar. I’m in St. Paul like never, so I have never got to go. I tried to go in July, but they were closed. And with their limited hours, it makes it tough.

I was finally in the area on a Saturday night, and hungry. I stopped in and it was well lit with plenty of seating. Fun, friendly atmosphere with a great wait staff. Fast service for a Saturday evening after 10pm. Got the drinks quickly, got the food quickly. Great service. I might go back just for the service.

I got the deep fried ravioli as an appetizer. Kind of like pizza rolls. They were delicious. I’d get them again for sure.

I also finally got to try the coneys. While they are expensive at $4 apiece, they are delicious. Served hot with a mountain of onions and on special toasted buns specifically for these coneys, it was a great experience. The only knock on the coneys is they don’t come with mustard on them which was odd. I knew they were missing something. I added the mustard and they were great. The dogs have a great “snap” to them when you bite them as they should.

I will definitely be back. Best coney’s in the metro that I’ve found. And I’ve tried a LOT of places.

Just be warned, parking in ST. Paul can be a nightmare and the Gopher Bar only takes cash.

“Absolutely fantastic speakeasy style pub, it really feels like it has old bones. The music was fantastic and its a very intimate and we look forward to heading back when we visit next year. The food upstairs and Lucky's was pretty good as well.“

“Probably the best Gluten Free food we've tried. The service was fantastic, the employees started joking around with us right away and made us feel welcomed. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer, and their homemade mix for fried food is absolutely excellent. Plus, they offer gluten free cheese curds and that's very hard to find. They keep their old tradition as cash only, which the bartender explained, even though card option would’ve been nice since the atm and my bank both will charge fees withdrawing cash. “When I eat I drink Bloody Mary's they just taste better with my food if I feel like a drink, let me tell you I had a very reasonable priced Bloody Mary and it was on Point I could taste everything in the drink a first for me and it had all the fixings as well, I appreciated that. They also have a place too eat Pop's and Son grill I ordered 4 wings and a brisket topped Baked potato I asked for my wings hard didn't get that but they tasted ok and the brisket was not a lot but also good I didn't bring my wings back because they seemed real busy they brought me someone else's food at first them my order and I appreciated Who I assume was Pop came and talked to his customer's checking on them and their food they gave us A 1 service I work in kitchen's and understand things happen sometimes it's how you react to the situation and after that matters the most and they gave the all. I will try them again because they food is good, and they fact they was busy, busy so that let me know a lil sum People like they food I was also asking people in the line about food and if they been here before and I got more yes than no and good food I heard ok Pop and Sons I'll be back..the bar also had karaoke A good time was had Thanks Cheers“

“My coworker and I popped in there for a couple of drinks last night while in town for the night, just drinks so no opinion on the food. Not many people since it was a Tuesday night, but still groups of people coming in while we were there. Good drink prices, chill environment, and the bartender Tim was cool and fun to chat with. We’ll stop back there next time in town.“

But the best part, hands down, which is why I'm leaving this review 3 years later is bc Bob's steak sandwich (should be Bob's FAMOUS steak sandwich) was THE F’N BEST sandwich my son and I have ever had - to date! If fact, 3 years later and my son is still talking about Bob's steak sandwich being the best food he's ever eaten!
