“Hidden gem here! A little pricey, but definitely worth it! Fantastic food and great service. They somehow balance the atmosphere so you would be fine in jeans or nicer attire and not feel out of place either way and the food belongs in a fancy Vegas restaurant. Good variety and delicious...one of the best steaks ive ever eaten hands down! Oh and I forgot to mention the bourbon selection (along with the other drinks), which is the best I've found in the area so far! Will definitely be back here again!“

Every dish we tried was perfectly prepared and had a good flavor.As a side note, before I make recommendations, I have an autoimmune condition called celiac disease. I am so sensitive that 20 ppm is still too high for my body's response, and even though I was aware of the possibility of cross-contamination, they went far above and beyond and took additional preventative measures to ensure my safety. Now, with that out of the way, I recommend trying the gluten-free pizzas and the bruchetta. Of course, I subbed the toast for their bag of gluten-free chips, and while the chips aren't precisely the same, the dish is still tasty. We have gone many times, and everyone always loves their chosen dish. The chef is wonderful and the staff is courteous and does a great job. “We went in at 12:40 and they closed at 1:00am. They served us drinks at the bar. They were fast and friendly. They never made us feel rushed and let us stay as long as we wanted without asking us to leave. “This experience was disappointing. I don't remember there being vinyl tablecloths which really don't look nice. There were children running around interrupting other people at other tables. As for the food- the lasagna looked good and tasted pretty good, but wasn't hot in the middle. The penne with chicken and artichoke was a disaster. It was about 3/4 penne with lots of linguine noodles tossed in. The sauce was excessive or had a lot of pasta water in the bowl. It looked like a soup and didn't taste great either. Then, when presented with the bill, we were charged a service charge for using a credit card. Using a credit card at an eating establishment, especially one this large and servicing a large number of people, has been standard practice for decades with the establishment covering these fees, yet, for some reason the Hawthorne as decided to pass these charges along to the customer. This, along with the vinyl tablecloths really cheapens the experience yet the prices have continued to inflate.“

The service was great and the entire staff was very friendly and eager to help. The reason for the 4 stars instead of five was for the chairs the leather setting that were really wobbly and splitting, kind of a turn off. Will I go back again absolutely!“

“Me and my mom were stuck in a winter storm and the roads were really bad and they took us in. Very nice people, well decorated, good food, gave me paper and a pencil to draw while waiting to leave, gave me a phone charger and told us the safest way to leave. They were very VERY nice people and if I could I would give them a better rating. I would recommend going to this place.“

We specifically asked for it to be put in a cone. When we get to the window they handed it to us in a cup. Instead correcting it and making it the right way. Some guy come from the back and gave us a cone for us to put the ice cream in and on top that they didn't even give us our drink. “We finally tried this place and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu. Had many options and will be returning to try. We got the wings, cheese steak sandwich and Po Boy. The only slight draw back was the amount of wings, felt like it could be more for the price. Prices are medium priced, but the flavor and portion make up for it. I don’t mind paying a bit extra for good food and that’s exactly what I got here. Even the tater tots where above average. Very impressed all around, this was a PACKED night and still got in and out in a reasonable time. Will be back again soon!“

“Tonight was our first visit to Dogwood Social House and overall it was a pretty good experience. I will say I was a little nervous given the low Yelp ratings, but they exceeded our expectations. The place is huge (I believe it was a former Gold's gym) and there were plenty of seating options. I wanted to sit outside since it was nice out but I was afraid we might be overlooked as no one else was out there. There are high top tables, large round tables, cozy couch seating that offers some intimacy- and more. This would definitely be a great place to meet a group of folks. There is a huge screen playing random music videos that were fun to watch, even if some of the songs made us cringe (Guns 'N Roses, Rednex, Billy Ray Cyrus AND Miley Cyrus [separately] Fountains of Wayne, Black Eyed Peas, etc.) The Cardinals game was on another screen and fighting on yet another. There are lots of recreation opportunities- from billiards to giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, axe throwing, shuffleboard, slot machines, claw machines, skee ball, etc. Happy Hour is in effect til 6pm but sangria sounded pretty refreshing, so I ordered the cherry merlot version. It was good, but extremely cherry flavored. It came with a slice of orange, a slice of lime and a slice of lemon. Also, it was a pretty big serving, which was poured over ice and served in a bucket. I definitely felt the much-needed buzz I was seeking. Not bad for $10. I would probably try the strawberry sangria if I had to do it again. And our waiter offered to replace it for me, but it was good enough so I finished it. I ordered the garbage burger- a recommendation from our waiter. It was pretty good- two beef patties with hash browns, egg, bacon, onions, etc. I would have liked for the egg yolk to have been runny- as that gives the burger a delicious sauce. It was a filling dinner. It came with a side of sidewinders, which are large fries in a twisty shape. I dipped them in ranch dressing as that's what the waiter brought. My husband ordered the pulled pork nachos. They are plentiful-and served on a large baking pan. He was able to eat them all, but I'm not sure everyone would. It's a lot! He enjoyed them. Based on this experience, I'll go back again and try some other things.“

Whoever put the plate together and thought it was appropriate to send it out to a customer should be fired!“
