“All I can say is WOW! My husband & I went here for the first time last Friday and from the moment we stepped it we had the best dining experience we’ve ever had in the Kansas City area. Our server was Kortney and she was nothing short of AMAZING. She was attentive and made sure we were happy with our experience. Our drinks were always refilled at the halfway point, she checked on us at all of the perfect times and it was clear she was on top of it! She was friendly, attentive, & provided some seriously top-notch service. We ordered the crap dip to start and oh my goodness it was so delicious we were tempted to order another or. The dip was overflowing the bowl and everything was so FRESH. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon and he said it was literally melting in his mouth. I ordered the roots burger and was impressed that someone could take a cheeseburger & make it THAT GOOD. We will absolutely be back! From the atmosphere to the service to the food - EVERY single aspect exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this place enough!“

Kudos for keeping your cool while getting yelled at. Our server was also so kind, I observed her trying to learn sign language for a table that was hearing impaired. “Cool little old pub in downtown Lee’s Summit. Building materials all seem original giving the place a cool old time feel. The food was delicious with Happy Hour deals making every appetizer $6. I ordered the bones and a pizza, both of which were good. For those that have experienced Pyramid Pizza’s bones, these are good, but not quite at the same level. I would recommend coming here to any friend or family member.“

“I’m originally from the East Coast and the one thing I miss is the pizza. Pizza is just not it in the Midwest, understandably. I miss the Sicilian pizza on the coast. This place fills that void for us. This is the best pizza I have had, hands down! I highly recommend it. The crust, sauce, cheese, toppings and portions are spot on!“

“So good!!! Your order is cooked freshly, right in front of you! Always consistently super hot and crisp, not soaking in too much sauce, either. They use fresh poultry for their Kung Pao Chicken, not breaded chunks of processed meat. And at around $12 for a laaarge meal (sometimes enough for lunch and dinner), I always feel great about eating here. I confess I've tried other places and they're ok, but Aiku is so good!!!?

“I try to eat here almost every time in visit KC. The only item I get is the nacho (2 with jalapenos and 2 without) I always phone in my.orser for pickup. The only negative thing I have to say is that I feel like the person behind the counter doesn't ever want to give me extra sauce. If I'm lucky I get 2. The last time I was there people dining in requested 10 and 5 sauces. 😂 Next time I'm not leaving till I get at least two extra sauces.

I've been eating at Taco Via since I was a teenager (first with my mom at Metro North many years ago). I LOVE their sauce. So lady, next time I'm there, please please please give me extra sauces.“

“The food was fantastic with the portion-size being almost too generous. The chips were fresh, the salsa good, but the queso dip stole the show. It was so good we had to order more. However, the area we were sat in so absolutely freezing. It's nice to have AC in August, but this was so cold I had to go get my dad a jacket out of the car. Even I was cold and I prefer the cold, but this was too much. The biggest issue, though, was our server. He spoke so quietly that none of us could really hear him and I was only two feet from him. We had to ask him to repeat himself numerous times and at times we still could not understand or hear what he was saying. This is not to say he was not a good server, he did get our orders correct, was quick with the refills, and quick to clear the table of dishes. It was delicious and I'll definitely be back for more.“

They all worked so well together from the moment of walk in to walking out. Maddie, our wait person took our order and checked back on every corse. Friendly and well versed on all items of the menu. We had allergic issues and she made sure our dishes were free of any items in that area. Even the plates we were done with were taken away. The experience was pleasant, and peaceful. From start to finish this was our best visit to any steakhouse in Kansas City MO. Lees Summit location on Monday 26th 2025“

It doesn't get more divey than this - with frosted bamboo stalk pattern windows, your traditional backlit plastic menu board, and little tiny red booths with glass koi fish dividers for extra privacy. I've done takeout from here mostly And see lots of Uber Eats come through Only one or two tables sat every time I've come in So it's definitely a quiet spot. They don't take AMEX, and they love cash. No bells or whistles, but the food is good. Nothing fancy all exactly made as you'd expect.“
