“I have eaten here over 30 times and I honestly don’t know why people are giving them such low ratings. We don’t live close by and stumbled across it while deciding to try Charlie Gittos. When we walked in, the steakhouse bar was all decorated for Christmas and my wife said we have to eat here; it’s so beautiful. So we ordered the pepperloin, a 6 ox filet with peppercorn. The server recommended the Mac and cheese and it was to die for. The bread was very good that they brought out better our meal and Samson is the nicest and best waiter ever. It was $30 for the steak and one side; where can you beat that? Note the price is now $35 as of January 2026. We don’t even gamble here but often make the drive because the food is so good and Samson is the best.“

“My favorite Mediterranean food place went out of business and I thought I’d try this one. Got their burger and mixed beef and chicken rice bowl. We ordered three gluten‑free calzones- the Roasty Toasty, the Magic Carpet Ride, and the Meat Me in St. Louie, and every one of them was outstanding. The gluten‑free bread was chewy, flavorful, and genuinely delicious, which is rare to find with gluten‑free options, especially anything in the pizza family.

Each calzone had its own personality, packed with rich, well‑balanced flavors and plenty of filling. It made for a satisfying meal all around, and it’s clear they put real care into their gluten‑free offerings.

“We ordered Russos delivery to cater our wedding and they surpassed our expectations. For $1,000, we fed 80+ people and still had leftovers for days. Definitely ordered too much but that’s because we didn’t realize the subs were so packed with meats and cheese. Probably the best subs we have ever eaten. The pastas, fruits, cheeses, and salads were delicious as well. Our only disappointment was with the roast beef sandwiches which were lacking in the meat department as compared to the subs. But overall, a superb experience. We will definitely be ordering again as needed. Well done!“

I have always enjoyed their Thai peanut sauce as well as their garlic ginger sauce on my salad.

“We visited the Art Museum last week and then had lunch at The Panorama resturant at the suggestion of a friendly person we met earlier at the Half and Half in Clayton. This person told us about how great the brussel sprouts were at the Panorama and so we had to try them and they were fabulous. All of us, including my mother, who is 88 years young, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We set next to the large wall of windows and the sun shone perfectly, lighting the room with a beautiful warmth. The server was excellent and the menu becons our return.“
