“Custards is the go-to ice cream in Blue Springs. From cones, shakes, blizzards, and more, you can't go wrong. I haven't had ice cream that tastes more fresh and delicious anywhere else. I personally recommend the concrete (cookie dough is my preference) but they have many different choices! Another underrated part of Custards is their popcorn. They have cinnamon, butter, cheese, and vanilla popcorn. I can confidently say that their popcorn is just as good if not better than others such as Topsys. We have to grab a bag every time that we go. Even when there are longer lines, service is always fast and friendly.

Parking: The parking lot wraps around the entire building, leaving plenty of spots for those going inside or eating on the patio.

Kid-friendliness: Custards is a very family-friendly environment for families to go enjoy a sweet treat and hang out.

Wheelchair accessibility: Those in wheelchairs can go inside to order or order from one of the outside windows. Custards has full wheelchair accessibility.“

“It is close to home, which is always a perk living in a rural community! Great selection, but they do rotate flavors in and out, so you can't be guaranteed to get the flavor you want every time. They always come back around though! They do a good job of keeping premade cakes and quarts in stock, which is convenient!“

The wait to order was excessive.
At first I pulled into a stall. After hitting the red button (a second time after 5 min) and waiting for 10 minutes with no acknowledgement, I drove around to the drive thru. There I was asked to wait again. This wait was eight minutes until they got back to me to take my order. After placing my order, I waited an appropriate amount of time to review the order, however if there had been any other food options close by then I probably would have gone there.
Staff was extremely friendly, that's why they are getting 4 stars from me.
The food was hot, good tasting, but maybe a bit overcooked. I will chalk that up to probably being short staffed.
Honestly though, if the wait to be greeted is going to take that long of a time,, it would be better to shut down the drive thru and operate the stalls only until adequately staffed.
I would have tipped if a hadn't needed to go through the drive thru.“
