The food is wonderful, especially the boneless chicken wings and the black pepper dipping sauce. Nice place to enjoy some great food, catch up with friends and not spend a fortune. “We didn't know quite what to expect but knew this jazz club got the best ratings in Kansas City so we purchased the Ambassador hotel's package. The entire experience was fantastic! It was far beyond our expectations. Lonnie is an outstanding entertainer, musician, singer and tap dancer. He brings a mountain of enthusiasm that kept us smiling and entertained throughout the show. His musicians are terrific too! Lonnie's Reno Club is a must-experience if you are in Kansas City and have any interest in live jazz performance. The hotel's package that includes Lonnie's show is also highly recommended.“

“Amazing! We put off visiting this local spot down the street for too long. Finally made it over for my birthday and it was incredible. The rustic decor and intimate atmosphere were just an awesome compliment to the simple, grounded but deep meal. We talked about all the flavors we were still experiencing long after we cleared a plate. The coctails were top notch but were outshined by the curated sake flight. No notes, simply perfect, we will be back.
Edit: got home and checked our recipt and realized that we never got one of our appetizers. Unfortunate, but I can't bring myself to lower my rating from 5 stars it was that good!“

“I like how right when you walk in the staff makes an effort to seat you whether you had a reservation or not. I do recommend a reservation because it gets busy! The food is good and there are great non-alcoholic drink options like kombucha.“

“Me and my mom stopped by while in town for a concert and everything literally was PERFECT. we have been raving in the car since leaving and Tiffany was the most perfect server that we were blessed with. We had the pretzel app, the stockyard fries, and the mac and cheese with bacon and everything was out quickly and again, absolutely astonishing!!! much love to Tiffany, and because she was so proactive we got to the concert DEAD ON time.“

“Local Kansas Citian....stayed this weekend with my husband and had an AMAZING time! The room was spacious and clean! Bed was super comfy, and it was actually very quiet! We could see the city life below from our corner room, but most of the noise was completely blocked out! The hotel bar and the terrace bar were both amazing! And breakfast at the hotel was to die for! We will definitely be staying again!“

The peach vinaigrette salad dressing ⭐️! Everything in the boil including the crab legs flavortastic🤩! The service was outstanding! “Highly recommend! I’ve watched the menu here for a while and planned a parent’s date night based on their fall menu offerings. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all great. Food takes a while to come out as it is prepared fresh. Very thoughtful cuisine and an eclectic blend of flavors married together seamlessly. Again, highly recommend, don’t let the concise menu dissuade you as it may be tiny but mighty.“

We also chose valet for the show, which ended up literally right outside the restaurant. Could not have been more convenient. It was a lovely night. The restaurant had plenty of staff, it was clean and time efficient. We had plenty of time to eat and relax and then find our show seats!“

“We stopped by here before seeing a show at The Music Hall. It was great because it was within walking distance and we could make a reservation. I have been to the Drum Room countless times and had no idea about the restaurant in the hotel! We decided to split the grilled peach salad, the fried goat cheese salad and a side of fries. These salads were so good! I feel like you don't often hear people rave about salads after visiting a restaurant but these were both great. I would totally order them again. Our waitress was super nice and even let us know right when we sat down that they were short staffed and that she was also helping with room service. I always appreciate when staff is up front about situations like that because it helps customers understand and manage expectations. Our drinks were rather strong and we both had a hard time finishing them, but overall we had a good experience!“

“We always enjoy visiting Bar Central before theater performances at the Music Hall, and appreciate being able to make a reservation. HOWEVER, this past Saturday, when we arrived, there was no host/ess, just a sign to seat ourselves. The bar was packed but there was one table for four available so we didn't have a problem. We're hoping this was a one-time thing and reservations will be possible in the future. Thank you.“

“This is a really neat little hidden gem, It's an awesome mexican fusion restaurant with unique flavors.
Everything I tried is very bold, flavorful, and wonderfully unique. The side salsa is stout and packs a flavor punch, less heat more taste.
The Chipotle was a little strong for my taste, but the jalapeño was perfect.
I really enjoyed the shrimp tacos, with their light but robust flavor.
I also cheated and had a brownie, it was delicious.“

“Pizza crust was cooked perfect, toppings were over the top .... uh, well, you know what I mean. On par with Stone Canyon and the Minsky's at Barry & N. Oak (best Minskys North or South of the river). It's a very heavy with OOT travellers (near airport) & male demographic (professional travellers) but the pizza was simple, surprisingly competitive with Wolfgang Puck (for those who travel). BTW, It's the kitchen and cooks who make simple food good.“
