“Everything about Authentic Taste of Jamaica was amazing this evening!!! We stumbled across this delicious date night after reading Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. The service, food, and the opportunity to visit with the owner was awesome. Started off with a Red Stripe, beef patty, and Kingston wings and ended with jerk and curry chicken. The food was so good!! Thank you for a wonderful experience we will be back soon.“

“our 2nd time here from South Dakota the smoked turkey was incredible burnt ends you don't even have to chew. and the slaw is unbelievable we ate so much, then got the sampler to bring home a must stop every time we make the 5 hour drive to KC“

“The food was amazing! We got the meat platter and several different kinds of empanadas and it was ALL delicious! Our waitress was great and even recommended deserts to take home! The deserts were on display and I probably would haven taken one of each but we filled up on our dinner! The atmosphere was fun and we will definitely be going back!!“

“My Husband and I had Hannah and company help with our wedding that took place at the Lux. Hannah made our food and cake/ cupcakes for our big day. Everything went perfectly and she planned our wedding perfectly. On top of that, everyone was kind and professional. Every time we are down in Weston, we stop in for a wine flight and to see what goodies are paired with each wine. We did participate in a murder mystery event the last time we were down and it was so much fun!“

“We went to a special dinner that was hosted at the farm and loved it so much! We had a variety of cheeses before that dinner and loved them all so much so couldn't wait to find a day to travel to the creamery to purchase them. We also decided that we would order a board from them to take home. The location is perfect with plenty of seating in and out. We purchased the Show Me Board online and ran ahead of schedule so called in to see if we could pick up earlier, no issues there. When we arrived we decided to also purchase a few cheeses to take with us. We were a bit surprised that the board wasn't at least put on a disposable board. They put all of the items (except for the 4 pieces of sourdough) in 2 small to go boxes. When we opened the boxes we were disappointed as everything was thrown on top of each other. I mean everything on top of each other. The onions, carrots, pickles, meats, cheeses, nuts, dried fruit. It was a mess and not enjoyable at all. It definitely did not speak to their presentation at all, especially for $60. They told us they were throwing in a bit of their garlic cheese...they did, with no lid. So the overpowering garlic was laying everywhere too. We would definitely return to purchase cheese, but would not do a board again due to the way this was presented to us.“

“I went to Scooter’s for the first time and needed some extra help ordering and the lady who helped me was super friendly, helpful, and patient. Went with a blended butterfinger drink. Ordered a medium and she upgraded me to a large since it was my first time. Totally unexpected yet very pleasantly surprised. They also gave me a sucker too! It was a great experience and I will definitely be back!! ❤️“

“Great burgers, large portions of fries. Staff is usually kind, with the exception of one of the managers. Large woman, tall, brown hair, brown eyes. Don't remember her name. She was rude and just shoved my bag of food at me, said "here". Haven't seen her in there last few times I went. Hope they got rid of her. Really wanting some of those fries now!“
“Pirtle Winery is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance pulled us in completely. The space is immaculate, the atmosphere warm, and everything about it feels like exactly where you want to spend an afternoon.
Our server Ava was an absolute gem. Attentive without being overbearing, genuinely friendly, and honestly just a delight to have taking care of us. She made the whole experience feel personal.
Now, the food. We started with the Brie starter, which was outstanding. Perfectly paired, beautifully presented, and gone way too fast. The panini was equally impressive, and the Fraser salad was fresh and flavorful in all the right ways. This is not your typical winery snack fare. The kitchen is putting in real work.
And the ice cream? Do not skip the ice cream. I cannot stress this enough.
The wine speaks for itself, but the full package here is what sets Pirtle apart. Great food, great service, beautiful setting, and a staff that clearly takes pride in the experience they deliver.
We will absolutely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a standout winery experience that fires on every cylinder.“

“Bill‘s kitchen has the best gizzards I’ve ever had. When the food arrived it was hot and the gizzards were so tender and easy to eat. The flavor was wonderful. My granddaughter had the kids meal chicken tenders and they were hot and good with french fries. My sister had fried okra and she said it was really good. I recommend, Bill‘s kitchen to everyone. I give it five stars.“

I especially want to give a shout out to one of the managers named Kaitlyn for going above and beyond to make a group of 1st grade teacher's from one of the Platte County Schools, very happy today.“
