It was evident that the tavern had recently reopened after facing some challenges related to business ownership, but they have truly managed to turn things around.One of the highlights of Rays Thunderbird Tavern is their revamped menu, which now includes a variety of finger foods. While these options were delicious, I would suggest adding some healthier choices to cater to a wider range of preferences. Nonetheless, the prices at this establishment are incredibly competitive, especially when it comes to their drinks. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a Bud-Light was priced at just $2.75, even outside of happy hour.For my meal, I ordered the chicken tenders, which came with a side of delicious fries. I expected the typical dry and thin bar food, but to my delight, the chicken tenders were meaty and moist. The seasoning was just right, not overly salted. My only recommendation would be to serve a few ounces more of sauce or provide an extra container, as the tenders would benefit from a little more sauciness.In addition to its other offerings, Rays Thunderbird Tavern boasts several pool tables and a couple of arcade games. “We had Garozzo’s cater our rehearsal dinner at Boulevard Brewing. From the very beginning they were extremely helpful getting the entire dinner together. They held a tasting at their restaurant downtown, where we were able to sample a lot of their different courses on their catering menu. This was a great way to find exactly what we wanted for our rehearsal dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic and they were constantly in touch with us through the entire process. They kept us up to date through the event. We highly recommend Garozzo’s to anyone needing any event catered.”

“We had only been to Rockhille Grilel once before and didn't have a great experience. Buuuut, we decided to give it another try during their Happy Hour. I got their Bruschetta and it was the BEST I've ever eaten and so delightfully plated. Simple, yet classic. Our server, Trevor was EXCELLENT. “I come here frequently after getting groceries, one lady remembers me now and knows exactly what I order. I tried something new and it was delicious, I went to reorder it today and I accidentally ordered a tea instead of a latte. I did not like the tea and they made me a new drink even though it was my fault. I love this little shop! The Brown Sugar Boba Latte is my favorite. It is a small shop in downtown, so there arent a lot of places to park, which is to be expected. Good thing I walk everywhere. :)”

“We were in town for the NCAA wrestling tournament. We had a reservation and were seated within a half hour (which was amazing considering the sheer volume of people in this town). The food specials were intriguing and danced on the palette like a ballerina! The halibut was perfect!!! I was expecting more of a showstopper from the lobster rolls although it had great flavors the garlic bread did not do it justice! The drinks and appetizers took the show! “My wife ordered Jon's Denver omelet and requested spinach instead of the peppers. No problem with the substitution. Omelet was done just the way she prefers. I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs over easy. I also added an order of toast just so I could get the raspberry spread. Corned beef hash was a standard in my parents' home. I hadn't eaten it since I graduated college in 1968 and left home. My mom's version was really good, but Homegrown's was exponentially bette r. Brooklyn was our server. She was pleasant and attentive without being intrusive. A diverse menu of well prepared and presented food with first-rate service at reasonable prices.”

“Tried this local Gem for the first time tonight. it was by far the best BBQ my husband and I have ever eaten. The Pork belly burnt ends & brisket were melt in your mouth. The jalapeño sausage were the best my husband has ever had. The BBQ sauce was complimented the meats and was also very good. The street corn salad and lemon slaw were unique and would definitely recommend. Planning our next outing already to this place.”
