“Great local bar in the heart of Englewood. Love their Moscato. Owner Mary Ellen is a super person and always makes you feel welcomed. Support small business. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Absolutely loved our visit here today! It was my boyfriend and I’s first time! We wanted to try something new so we decided on brunch here. All of the staff was incredibly welcoming. Being in hospitality myself, it’s always so nice to see team members being hyper aware of other patrons/tables that may need service, regardless on if it’s their table/responsibility or not. We grabbed a coffee while waiting for a table that the host was able to snag for us (rookie mistake on my end for not making a reservation!). We weren’t in any hurry and didn’t mind waiting! The coffee was tasty, food was amazing, and the atmosphere even better! Our server Grace was incredibly busy, but still incredibly kind. I commend her ability to remain calm under pressure! A nice man that I believe was the manager noticed that we needed service and grabbed our order and drinks. We finished with a cinnamon roll that was deliciously unique! We can’t wait to come back to try dinner sometime!“

“Went to Barbacoa, 5500 Troost, for brunch Sunday morning, what a delightful experience. I ordered Monie’s plate. It was mouthwatering. The serving was so generous, that I took half of it home. The corn tortillas were soft and warm enough to make a taco, the beans were flavorful and not spicy, the carnitas were fall apart tender and very tasty, perfectly fried potatoes, and fluffy scrambled eggs. The salsa was very tasty and not overly spicy. The coffee was even tasty (Costco Kirkland medium roast). Unlike some breakfast restaurants, the background music was so low and mellow (helps with digestion), I could hear my friends talk. We have to go back during the week for dinner. UPDATE - I forgot one very important thing, the service was excellent. Our group was one of two in the restaurant, but shortly afterwards other start to arrive. There was only one friendly waitress, who, despite the growing crowd, was able to get back to us about more coffee and to check on us“

“My husband and I popped by on a Saturday afternoon about 2:00 pm and it was quiet here until about 3:30. The bartender was very sweet and let me create my own craft cocktail using their amazing house blended tomorrow syrup. The books here are super cool and we proved several away just hanging out and drinking our cocktails. We’ve driven by so many times and this time it was a destination. Cool vibes, comfy seating for small groups. I noticed some laptop lap decks under a coffee table- nice amenity. This is yet another reason to love living in KC.“

“Ragazza is my favorite restaurant. We’ve been several times. Tonight we had Liz as a server and Channing helped out as well. Both of them were awesome. The food.. as always was awesome. Drinks superb. If you haven’t tried Ragazza you should. The Eggplant parm is my favorite but everything is honestly delicious.“

“Was really good! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Came in during Sunday happy hour after 4 and was told all cocktails are $2 off, however got charged full price for one of hours. Bartender was too busy to ask about it after we got the itemized receipt. Overall, delicious. Just wish we would have gotten the full special.“

“I worked here. The owner moved me to a new apartment and gave me 100 dollars just because. I still wear my PPT shirt around town and have some pressed pennies. Great food. Great family owners. The most cozy hidden gem in Kansas City!“

“We enjoyed our meal for sure. Food is excellent as always. The only reason for a 4 star review is their attempts at a fine dining experience falls short of an actual fine dining experience. By this I mean, wine glasses needed to be asked to be removed even after it was clear we weren't having wine. Had to ask for iPad they left on the table to removed. Had to ask for plates to be cleared and new utensils to be brought.... All minor things but as the restaurant wasn't busy, these were all the little things that can set the tone for a fine dining experience. And at over $350 for three people at brunch, I do expect MORE. The most outstanding service was by our busboy who filled our waters at every opportunity without fail. Our server was certainly courteous and capable, maybe just a little green with overall expectation of excellence. While I'm sure we will be back, I honestly prefer YaYa's due to the level of service they offer. While not considered “fine dining”, Yaya's never fails to impress with their waitstaff training. And they charge half as much for basically the same quality of food options. I guess you got to chose what matters most to you when you're looking for fine dining— the “name” or the over all feel of a place.“

“Date night and our table for 2 was barely big enough due to being so close to the next table that seated 6/7 and we were against a wall divider. No elbow room for one of us. Great food, drinks and service, would go back but request a different table.“

“It was ok. Quality and taste has went down over the last couple years. Salsa tastes like weak, watery spaghetti sauce. Chips were cold used to be served warm. No real flavor to the food any more. Have given them SEVERAL different chances, it has increasingly gotten worse, not sure that my family will return when there are so many other Mexican Restaurants nearby that we have actually enjoyed. It really is too bad because the staff is always great but we go there for the food and it has been sub par.“
